"Su pal, su pal, suuuuuperman!"

As the next cartoon began.

"Whoosh!" ran little Tommy

causing a living room tsunami.

"Switch off the TV, time for bed!"

behind the sofa Tommy fled.

poked his head to see the TV nerd

listened careful to every word he heard.

"Sugar, Spice and everything nice..."* daddy picked him up

marched off to bed with his Sippy cup.

"Mommy's nice! Mommy's a girl! What's che..chem X?

Tucking him, Daddy thought what to say next.

"Chemical X is special stuff

That's what all girls are made of.

It makes them brave and strong at heart

determined so they don't fall apart.

Promises they try never to break

Sacrifices they make for others sake."

Little Tommy rubbed his eyes,

dozed off, listening to his father's wise advice.
