It had been three months since Kit had proposed to Jude it was now May and the summer air was intoxicating to Kit and Jude as they were looking forward more to November as they set their wedding date for the nineteenth of that month.

Jude and Kit already have already started their wedding planning out as they only had a few more details to talk about.

Kit and Jude were in the living room as he was trying to learn the dance for their wedding as she was teaching him, but kept stepping on her toes.

"Now, spin me around." Jude said as he did and caught her waist and kissed her passionately as she nipped his bottom lip.

"Better?'' Kit asked as Jude giggled.

''Most definitely.'' Jude said Kit took her face in between his hands as he started kissing her and their tongues danced together as they were interrupted by someone opening the door.

''Knock, knock y' all. Is Pepper ready for the annual movie and picnic in the park?'' Jane asked as Pepper came down the stairs, ready to go.

''Have a great day my beautiful girls and we will be there after while, just pick our spot out and I will bring the picnic basket.'' Jude said as she kissed Jane and Pepper's cheek.

''Bye y' all.'' Pepper said as Jane slipped her arm into hers.

''Have fun with the activities at the park and remember to wear plenty of sunscreen girls.'' Jude said as the summer heat was horrific in Boston this month.

''We will Jude, now c'mon Jane. I don't want a bad spot.'' Pepper said as Jane smiled.

''Okay, she's just a little impatient today, aren't you?'' Jane asked Pepper.

''I'm always impatient, but that's because you always take too long.'' Pepper said as her and Jane were halfway out the door.

"Sounds like me when Jude takes too long to get ready." Kit teased as Jude glared at him as Pepper and Jane left.

"I don't take too long honey, plus you like when I spend a little extra time pampering myself, especially when were alone in our bedroom." Jude whispered in his ear.

"How about I pamper you right now?" Kit asked her.

"Depends on what you mean by you pampering me sweetheart." Jude said as she smiled.

"Has your back still been bothering you?" Kit asked her.

"Yes, especially since I still had to bend over a pick up that other box of heavy books." Jude said as Kit placed his hands on her hips and started massaging them.

"Tell me where you want me to massage you at and where to place my hands." Kit said as Jude guided his hand down at the bottom of her spine.

"Now, massage all the way up to the top of my spine." Jude said as he cupped her hips first and gradually made his way up.

"Lie down on your stomach baby." Kit said as they went over and laid on the couch.

"Do you have the lotion?" Jude asked him as he wiggled in front of her face.

Kit massaged Jude's back as she felt more relaxed as he worked his magic to make her pain bearable or go away.

He finished by laying a hot towel on her back as she drifted off to sleep, because they had until five to do whatever they wanted as it was nine o'clock now. He rubbed up and down her back, hoping the warmness would penetrate her aching muscles.

"You're very adorable when you sleep sweetheart." Kit said as he watched Jude's facial features as she slept as he drifted off to sleep with her.

Three hours later, Kit and Jude had the picnic basket packed and ready to go to the park as they walked hand in hand outside to their car as Kit opened her door as she got in.

They started their journey to the park for the movie and picnic. They also had activities there, so they thought it would be fun as they just decided to talk about their wedding.

"Sweetheart, what colors would you like for the wedding?" Jude asked him as she flipped through her bridal catalog.

"Traditional Fall colors, but I'm fine with your preferences baby." Kit said as Jude thought about it.

"How about maroon, you know that really pretty purple color, but it has a tint of vivid red in it." Jude said as she put her feet in his lap.

"I love the color ideas, but mostly, I can't wait to see you walk down the aisle and I slip your wedding band on your finger." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"I'm ready to have your last name." Jude said as she looked out through the windshield as the greenery of the trees passing them by.

"Me too baby." Kit said as Jude smiled and she laid her head on his shoulder while he held her hand.

They got to the park as they seen Jane and Pepper sitting by a shade tree with art supplies and they walked over to them with the picnic basket.

"What movie is showing tonight, I was looking at the newspaper for it earlier, but someone distracted me." Jude looked over at Kit as he smiled.

"Grease, the first one." Jane said

"Finally, something that does not have little anime characters running around." Pepper said as cartoons were just a nightmare for her now.

"All three of you watch soap operas, this movie is ten times better than watching that any day." Kit said as Jude glared her eyes at him.

"Oh well, you don't mind it if we're just having a day together." Jude said

"I'm just saying baby, it's good to be able to watch something different for once, plus I would rather spend a whole day in bed with you than dealing with deranged, drunk men who come by every night after their local pit stop to a bar." Kit said as Jane and Pepper looked at each other as Kit rested his arms on Jude's stomach and Jude laid her head in his shoulder.

"So, while we are here today, spending this time together. Have y' all finally set a wedding date yet?" Jane asked them.

"Yes, we have decided to finally set the wedding date for November the nineteenth. A week before Thanksgiving, that way we will all be well rested before a busy week ahead of us." Jude said as Kit kissed her cheek.

Five o'clock came and everyone was hungry as the person showing the movie announced that it was about time.

"Alright, let's go wash our hands." Jude said as the girls went to freshen up as they started walking back over to their spot as Jude seen Kit talking to someone she did not recognize as Jude seen it was a woman as her instinct was to wrap her arms around him as Kit seen her.

"Vivian, this is my fiancee Judy. Honey, this is Vivian Harmon. Her husband works as a psychologist and they are regular customers at the gas station." Kit said as Jude extended her hand to shake Vivian's as she did the same.

"Kit talks a lot about you Judy and my, he was right about you being beautiful." Vivian said as Jude blushed.

"Oh, it's alright Vivian and please, call me Jude. That's what everyone calls me." Jude said as she felt the love radiating off of Kit onto her body as she ached for his touch.

"Alright, well I have no idea where my husband is, but is it okay if we sit here?" Vivian asked

"Yes, please. I could use another woman to talk to, besides my girls." Jude said as they all sat down.

"So, how many children do you have?" Vivian asked her.

"Well, me and Kit adopted Pepper after we left our old jobs. She's always been like a daughter to me and Jane is her best friend, but she's a great girl and she loves Pepper just as much as I do, but I love them as my very own." Jude said as she watched them indulge in conversation.

"Well, I'm glad that you have them in your life." Vivian said as Jude smiled.

"Me too. Now, how many children do you have?" Jude asked her.

"Me and Ben have one daughter and her name is Violet." Vivian said

"Me and Kit will be married in November and possibly after that, we can have a little family of our own. I already have one, but I love children." Jude said

"Ben and I are the same way, but it's been a hard year for us both and Violet, of course, with the move, she barely talks to us and I just hate that." Vivian said as she felt the hurt come on again.

"Teenagers these days never talk to us. Vivian, is something wrong?" Jude asked her.

"The reason why we moved is because my husband cheated on me with one of his patients and she was mentally unstable, well I guess she still is from the little tramp having sex with my husband." Vivian said as Jude gasped.

"Oh honey, I should have not asked. Trust me, I know how it feels to be cheated on. Now, I don't have to worry about that." Jude said as she looked over at Kit and smiled.

"No, it's alright. It's good to get it off my chest. Thank you for listening Jude." Vivian said as she had tears well up in her eyes.

"Oh honey, that's what I'm here for, plus I can see us becoming really good friends. One night, you should bring yourself and sweet Violet over to my house for dinner." Jude said as Vivian smiled.

"I would love that or maybe we could get dinner sometime, you know just the two of us girls. Maybe even somewhat help you plan your wedding, if you want my help that is?" Vivian asked her as Jude smiled.

"I would love that. I just have to fit it somewhere in my schedule. Work has been busy and I spend a lot of my time there and so does Kit when he's off work and the girls." Jude said as Vivian cherished this time with Jude as she felt relaxed as she was offered a glass of wine by Kit and took it.

"I was wondering something... Are you possibly looking for help at the library?" Vivian asked her as Jude smiled.

"Yes actually I am. You look like the good, hard-working, smiling, energetic and full of life kind of gal I have been looking for. I know I have Pepper and Jane, but I want someone close to my age to work with." Jude said as Vivian smiled.

"I don't know what to say Jude." Vivian said as she breathed a sigh of relief.

"I do, I better see you standing outside my bookstore at eight a.m. Monday morning." Jude said as her and Vivian laughed together as Vivian's husband and daughter showed up.

"Sorry mom, dad took the wrong road to get here." Violet said

"I was telling her that we need to get to know our roads a lot better, especially since I'm letting a sixteen year old drive." Ben said as he sat down beside Vivian.

"It's alright now, you're here and I have something to tell you." Vivian said as she wore a triumphant smile.

"Oh no! You're pregnant?" Violet asked as Vivian's smiled.

"No honey, I have a job now." Vivian said as Ben looked at her.

"Oh my gosh mom. That's cool. What are you going to be doing?" Violet asked her.

"She'll be helping me around the library sweetheart. You know that little cozy one in town?" Jude questioned her.

"You mean you're owner and the one that says 'Walker's Delight Bookstore and More?" Violet asked her.

"Yes, that's me and it's a warm, cozy little atmosphere that I call heaven." Jude said

"Someday I will stop by there." Violet said

"Well, your mother is starting Monday, so I hope to see you then my dear." Jude said

"Maybe." Violet said as she sat down to watch the movie with Jane and Pepper.

Two hours had passed and the movie was over as they all packed up as Kit and Jude made their way back home.

They got home as Kit had an idea as he put the car in and ran up to the front door, leaving Jude confused to wonder why he did not open hers.

Five minutes passed, Jude felt someone open her door to see that Kit had picked her up and spun her around as they laughed.

"What on earth has gotten into you Kit?" Jude asked him.

"I need more dancing lessons sweetheart, this is just getting us warmed up baby doll." Kit said as Jude started kissing his neck.

"At nine thirty at night?" Jude asked him.

"Yes, plus all we're going to be doing till our wedding is planning. You never know when we'll get to dance again till then." Kit said as she knew he was right.

"Alright, you convinced me, but stay off my toes this time." Jude said as Kit carried her in the house.

"Yes ma'am." Kit said as Jude glared at him.

"I told you not to call me ma'am. I'm not your mother sweetheart." Jude said as Kit opened the door and they walked across the threshold.

"Well, I know, but it's good to have these habits for our children." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"When we have our kids, what shall we name them?" Jude asked him.

"I love the name Josiah for our little boy." Kit said as he wrapped his arms around Jude as his hands rested on her lower back and he kissed her forehead.

"I do too, but what about our little girl?" Jude asked him.

"What were you thinking about for a name?" Kit asked her.

"I was thinking Josselyn or Kennedy for our baby girl, you know to alliterate our first initials, but I love the name for our son." Jude said as she smiled.

"I'm going to make you very happy Jude, I promise." Kit said as she laid her head on his shoulder.

"You already have sweetheart. That's all I ever asked for and now, I've got my happiness all right here." Jude said as her dreams and realities were finally coming true.

"Vivian and you seemed pretty happy tonight. I guess girl talk is better than talking about marriage counseling." Kit said as Jude looked at him.

"Why were y' all talking about marriage counseling? I mean, we're together, but not married, yet." Jude said as she frowned.

"But we will be. November the nineteenth of this year." Kit said as he kissed her hand.

"Have you got your tux picked out?" Jude asked him.

"Yes. Have you got your dress picked out?" Kit asked her as she smiled.

"I'm still deciding right now, but I just hope that it will be worth everything that I have ever asked God for." Jude said as Kit kissed her.

"It will be, plus I just can't wait to see you in it." Kit said as Jude laid her head back down on his shoulder.

"Hold on sweetheart. I got a song for you to listen to. It describes us in a perfect way and it was made for us." Kit said as he went over a pressed play.

"Will you dance with me malady?" Kit asked her as she took his hand as they started out slow.

"I will you dance with you any time my dear darling." Jude said as her head rested in the crook of his neck.

They started slow dancing as Jude listened to the lyrics as Kit was singing along to it.

Jude was wiping tears as they fell down, listening to Kit sing and talk through the music of how genuine he sounded was just what she needed to hear after a lifetime of secrets, lies, betrayal and most of all, a broken heart looking to be mended, loved, accepted and put back together. Kit was the only man who took all her pain away and the things she was always trying to find as he never doubted her, even though she hurt him in the past. She saved him as he saved her. All was forgiven, no grudges were held towards each other, just love and understanding was their future now and they were happy.

"And I will take you in my arms and hold you right where you belong." Kit sang as Jude enjoyed the safe haven of his warm and comfortable embrace.

"I don't deserve you Kit." Jude said as he kissed her cheek.

"Yes you do, it's me who doesn't deserve you." Kit said

"I think God truly put us together." Jude said

"He works in mysterious ways." Kit said as Jude nodded.

"I agree with you on that one baby." Jude said as the song came to an end as they turned out the lights and went upstairs.

"We need to figure out what our wedding song will be." Jude said as she and Kit were brushing their teeth.

"We can look through those magazines you get every week." Kit said as he and Jude finished brushing their teeth and got into bed.

"Alright, I wonder who we'll invite?" Jude asked if it were a mere question.

"Our family, friends and whoever we decide to invite." Kit said as Jude started tearing up.

"I guess I will have Pepper walk down the aisle with me, I don't have my parents with me, so it would be the only way I hold this traditional." Jude said as Kit wiped her tears away and held her close as they laid down with her in his arms.

"It's alright baby. Pepper would love to walk you down the aisle." Kit said

"I know she would, but it will be hard for me. I just hope that your parents don't freak out at the last minute." Jude said

"Mom and dad have always been that way. They did when I married Alma." Kit said as Jude feared for that.

"I'm older than you, way too old to be your wife. I could be your mother if God would have ever so slightly granted that to me." Jude said as Kit smiled.

"Well, you're not my mother. Like I always say, you're my hot, sexy firecracker." Kit said as they both smiled as she kissed him.

"Thanks for always reassuring me that I'm worthy of being loved." Jude said as Kit started kissing her neck as he sat in front of her.

"Everyone has to have somebody who loves them. Mine just happens to be you." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"Even when I doubt myself, you come back and reassure me that I'm worth proving something to." Jude said

"I would rather spend the rest of my days knowing that I love you, then spending this life wondering why nothing went right." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"And then, we can pass that onto our kids." Jude said as the self doubt set back in.

"Our kids will know how much they are loved, but having you as their mother, will prove every bit of that fact and you will the the BEST mother a child could ever know." Kit said as Jude's eyes filled up with tears.

"You really think that I could be the best mother that a child could ever know?" Jude asked him.

"Without a single doubt in my mind." Kit said as he laid back down with her in his arms as he ran his fingers through her golden blonde tresses as Jude kissed him.

The kiss grew more heated as Jude slipped her hand into his pajama pants and caressed him.

"Sweetheart?" Kit questioned her.

"Yes?" Jude answered back.

"Are you sure?" Kit asked her as she nodded.

Kit pushed her night gown up as he took off her panties.

"Kit, protection please." Jude groaned, desperate for his touch already.

"Look at us, I forgot we're not married yet and I'm already trying to get you pregnant." Kit said as Jude rubbed her hands up and down his chest as her legs were around his waist as he slid the plastic sheath onto his growing member.

"Not yet sweetheart. We'll find the right time to get pregnant and when we do, we're going to celebrate." Jude said as Kit kissed her with full force as his member positioned itself at her mist intimate area as she gave him that look she always did as he slowly filled her.

"Oh God... More." Jude moaned as Kit quickened his pace.

They were enjoying their night, until they heard something outside as Jude looked at him.

"What the hell?" Kit asked as he slowly got up and grabbed the gun he used to go hunting with.

"Are you seriously about to go down there?" Jude asked him.

"Baby, I have to keep you and me both safe." Kit said as Jude got up.

"I'm going with you." Jude said as Kit looked at her.

"I need you to stay near a phone to dial the police." Kit said as Jude held onto him.

"Okay, but what if it's someone we know?" Jude asked him.

"Who in the hell comes here in the middle of the night?" Kit asked her.

"Someone who needs to talk or just anyone, plus we were just making love at this time of night." Jude said as she wanted him again, not getting to finish what they started.

"Sorry to leave you hanging baby, I'll take care of it later. For right now, we need to see who is there." Kit said as they heard the front door open and the floor creak as Jude held onto him.

"Don't talk." Kit whispered to her.

"Wasn't planning on it." Jude said as they slowly opened their bedroom door and walked out onto the top of the stairs.

"Whoever it is, must really need to talk to you." Kit said

"I told everyone that I'm available any time." Jude said as Kit grinned at her as Jude shook her head.

Kit had the gun, ready to fire if anyone tried to attack him or Jude.

They seen a shadow figure, sitting at the island as they could hear a couple of sniffles as Jude grew increasingly worried if it was Pepper or Jane as they stopped in the kitchen.

"Hello?" Jude called out the question as the person frightened a bit. 

"I'm sorry Kit and Jude. I just needed someone to talk to and Jane gave me your address." The person was Vivian as Jude turned on the light as Kit sighed in relief.

"Oh honey, we thought you were a burglar." Jude said as she sat down beside Vivian.

"Me and Ben had a fight again and left for a trip and Violet went to stay at her friends house. Jude, I think Ben is cheating on me again with his ex patient." Vivian said as the tears kept coming.

"Honey, I don't know what to say. I never had anyone to talk to besides a glass of whatever I was drinking."  Jude said as Vivian looked at her with teary-filled, watery eyes.

"I really did not mean to disturb you." Vivian said as Jude wiped her tears away.

"Vivian, we're just happy you're here and not at a bar, drinking your sorrows away." Kit said as Jude smiled at him.

"He's right, plus I spent many nights like that, but whatever problems I'm having, I go straight to him." Jude said as she felt her heart becoming lighter for the tenderness of him.

"What's this woman's name again? I remember you told Jude at the park, but I'm really bad at names sometimes." Kit said said as he filled up three glasses with water and gave one to both women.

"Her name is Hayden and she's a little bitch from hell." Vivian said as she smiled.

"Any man that cheats on a woman as gracious as you, deserves trash like her. I don't know her personally, but I don't care to either." Jude said as Vivian took a drink of her water.

They spent two hours together in the kitchen, talking as they looked at the time.

"Thank you for listening to me talk about my cheater of a husband and his tramp, but I need to be getting back home before Violet sees that I'm not there tomorrow." Vivian said as they all stood up and walked to the front door.

"Honey, are you are always welcome here and are you sure you don't want to stay here?" Jude asked her.

"No, I'm fine. Maybe another night and Violet, I can tell she already adores you. She asked me if I could talk to you about giving her a job." Vivian said as she knew how sat at her daughter was about getting one.

"I would love to have you both with me at the library. Pepper and Jane adore you already as well, but not as much as me." Jude said as Vivian smiled as they opened the door.

"Well, I will tell her and thank you again for this, I promise to keep her in line." Vivian said as Jude smiled.

"I was a boss at one time, trust me, I will keep you both in line." Jude smiled as she realized how she sounded.

"Sounds great boss." Vivian joked

"I will see you at eight o'clock Monday morning." Jude said

"Thank you for everything Jude. I appreciate it." Vivian said as she walked out on the front porch.

"You're welcome darling." Jude said

"Bye Vivian." Jude called out to her as Vivian waved at them, got in her car and left.

Kit and Jude walked back inside as he shout the door and she pulled him closer.

"We're not done yet." Jude whispered in his ear as he picked her up and carried her to their bedroom where he laid her down and they finished what they started.

Twenty minutes later, Jude laid on Kit's chest as she tried to calm her breathing down from her orgasm and he did too.

"I need to ask you something sweetheart." Jude said

"Okay, ask away baby." Kit said

"Am I the best you ever had?" Jude asked him as she propped her head up with her hand.

"Yes, you don't like to rush into it and you take your time." Kit said as Jude smiled.

"Promise me something?" Jude questioned him.

"I will promise you the world baby." Kit said as he kissed her lips.

"Promise me no matter how hard life gets, that it's me and you against all the odds." Jude said as Kit wrapped his arms around her and kissed her temple to reassure her that they were in this forever.

"We will be in this forever, against odds, imperfections, good times and bad. I'm not going anywhere baby, you have me to have and hold onto." Kit said as Jude kissed his neck.

"I love you Kit Thomas Walker, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me." Jude said as she felt safe in Kit's arms and his warm embrace and the beating of his heart proved that he was hers forever.

"I love you too Judy Ruth Martin or as I shall, Mrs. Walker." Kit said as he kissed her forehead.

"We might as well act married now. We already do anyhow." Jude said

"We will be soon darling." Kit said as Jude started drifting off to sleep.

"Now, I get to ask the same question. Am I the best you've ever had?" Kit asked her as she started giggling.

"Yes, you're the only man who actually ever put forth the effort without being drunk." Jude said as she had enough of those days.

"Drunk sex is just the worst. You can't remember anything and you wonder who you slept with when you wake up beside them." Jude said as she laid there, just feeling old memories coming back as shed them away.

"I agree baby, but let's get some sleep. I would hate to know that I kept you up all night." Kit said as Jude closed her eyes again, feeling her body going into rest mode as she kissed Kit's lips.

"I love these nights with, plus it's nice to be wrapped up in your arms." Jude said as the euphoria of sleep overtook her.

"I do too baby. Goodnight my beautiful angel." Kit said as he kissed her cherub lips as he heard her little snores as he enjoyed listening to her talk in her sleep.

"Goodnight my handsome man." Jude moaned in her sleep as she pressed her face into the crook of his neck as he enjoyed her faintly kissing it.

Kit drifted off to sleep along with Jude as he could not wait till November, he made sure she would get the future she always wanted as he was happy to start this beautiful journey with her. They were both scared and happy at the same, but very blessed that they had each other. Jude never dreamed of this man who was falsely accused of crimes he never did was now her fiancee and soon-to-be husband. She loved him and he loved her, he loved everything about the woman sleeping on his chest with her golden Hollywood style curls fanned out on his chest, her cherub, full, plump kiss me lips, her gorgeous brown eyes that are like gemstones that shined as if they were to turn blue any moment. He loved her and him for her. It may not be the the "perfect" love story, but it was there's and that's all that mattered to them.
