Hello again. As always, thank you for reading. Pardon for slow updates in advance. Hope you like.

Your eyes were fixed on the TV suspended against the wall, mouth slightly ajar by the utter daze.

"Hmph." Victoria stood beside your immobile figure in the hospital bed. Solemnly glaring at you, she wrote down some observations on the clipboard. "What does he see in you?"

Silence was her answer.

Throwing one last judging glance, the woman rolled her eyes and exited the room. Making sure to lock the door behind herself.

Mouth closing into a frown, your eyes traveled towards the door.

"What does he." After muttering in annoyance, you held your left arm and carefully forced yourself to sit up.

Ever since that nightmare, the decision was clear.

"I'm getting the hell out of here."

Gritting your teeth, you moved the blanket aside, exposing your cuffed ankle.

You've been memorizing certain details right?

You studied closely the restraining device. "The door can only open with a key."

Since they purposely lock it.

"Only 4 people hold possession of one." Your right hand slightly tugged at the steeled chain.

Which are?

"1. The bastard. He keeps the original." You scoffed. "What a surprise."

The hospital room you're in, contains on one side, a window whose view is often blocked by a curtain, and on the other, a private bathroom.

"2. His dumb blood-related sidekick. She only comes under command. Usually at a specific hour, just to check up on my state."

A couple of modern cushioned seats lingered around the bed, unlike the couch that stood apart.

"3. A coward. Gisele isn't gonna help me anytime soon. I can't count on her. She visits a lot since I'm placed in her list of patients to care for. My assigned nurse."

The low temperature of the room seems to not be much of a bother. Your body must've adapted to the coldness.

Or are you just numb?

Your sight shot up at the sudden noise of the door's handle.

Soundlessly pushed open, the person stepped in and closed it.  He whispered. "Are you okay?"

"4. An ally." You muttered before addressing him. "Why are you whispering? There's no one else here."

"A-Ah my bad." The man scratched his head as he approached your bed, mop in hand. "F-Force of habit." A wide smile then appeared on his face. "And it made me feel cool." Now next to you, his eyes wandered around, never meeting yours.

The Janitor, whose job is cleaning every room, and for that withholds custody of every single key needed to open any lock in the building, is the perfect person to have by your side.

Thank God.

He was rather young for this position, like late 20's. From what you've both talked about, apparently his parents had placed him in an orphanage due to his autism. He's practically been alone ever since.

After hearing the story of the new patient called "The crazy one", he decided to meet this individual in hopes that, as two beings shunned from society and never comprehended by anyone, could possibly, maybe, find in each other that person who understands.

Your first meetings were odd. He'd enter and instantly leave. Or came in, sat on one of the chairs with fidgeting hands and then quickly rise to his feet, hurrying out the exit. Until the day you decided to direct the first question that lead to your present friendship.

"Are you okay?" He asked again while looking at the walls. "A-Are you back?"

"Yeah, I'm back."

The young man giggled happily.

Your attention fell back on the TV. Now displaying some soap opera. "And this time, I brought a plan."

Please vote or comment. *peace
