Chapter 2: My Decision

I wake up the next morning and I tell my parents what my decision is.
"Well, after thinking for a long time, I think I would like to go to Glasgow. Who knows, maybe I might just make some new friends there."
Both of my parents smile warmly at me.
"That's great! If you like England, then you're sure to like Scotland, too."
"That's good to hear. But I do have one question. When do I leave for Scotland?"
"Well, summer break is almost over, you'll probably have to leave in a few days. We want you to get to know Glasgow before the school year starts, which is why we want you to leave a bit earlier than planned."
"So, I should start packing now, then?"
"That would probably be the best idea. After breakfast, I'll help you pack."
I nod and begin eating. Now that I think about the idea, I begin to become a little more excited. I don't normally get excited for a lot of things, but moving to Scotland for at least a year is a big deal. Sure, I'm still nervous, but it could be really fun. After a few minutes I finished breakfast and I ran upstairs to begin packing. It took a little while, but we got everything done. I can't believe how many suitcases that I have to bring. But then again, it's not like having a sleepover across the street. During the next few days, I was studying the landmarks of Glasgow, so I knew exactly where I would live and where my new school would be. And before I knew it, I was with my parents at the airport getting ready to board the plane.
