Chapter 3 - "Hmph."

Your POV:

I glanced at the smirking demon above me, looming over my crouched, bloody form. I had multiple gashes which were stinging and bleeding out, releasing lots of claret. I gave Bendy a mutilated look, but it wavered when he rolled his eyes.

"Oh come on, it's not that bad. Get up!"

I winced and pushed myself up, trying to ignore the pain rushing through my veins. The nerve cells inside me were sure delivering discomfort easily.

"Oh boo hoo, poor (Y/n). Do you need a band-aid?" Bendy mocked.

"I'm surprised you even know what they are," I replied sassily, trying to muster a cold smile.

"I may be excluded but I'm not dim. I know more than you think I do, girl."

"Ha, that'll be the day," I snorted. Bendy bared his teeth and raised the axe one more time, a shadow crossing his face, before I trembled and started crying.

"Good. At least you know your place," Bendy lowered the axe, turning away from me. "Come. I have a job for you."

"A job?" I repeated, limping after the wildly moving ink devil in front of me.

"So you're a parrot now? Stop being annoying before I kill you," Bendy threatened, leading me through hallways and doors.

Eventually we reached the ink machine room, which was slowly flooding with ink. I thought I saw a trace of relief reflected in Bendy's eyes, but it went away as soon as it came. He turned to face me and pointed at the ink.

"See all this?"

I nodded.

"Put it into jars, we need to save it. I'll retrieve some for you, then you can get to work."

And with that, the devil exited the room, making sure to throw the axe around tauntingly as he did so. I looked after him, then focused my attention back on the muck in front of me. It was already staining my jeans, which sucked. I bent down and used my hands to create black ripples, watching as they spread, then faded.

I sighed, knowing my freedom was now gone. I don't know how I ended up here, but one thing's for sure, I regret it. I tried scooping the ink into my clothes, so that it would absorb the liquid and squeeze it back out into the jugs that Bendy was fetching.

I leant even more into the inky substance, forgetting the environment around me. Due to this, I slipped and fell into the sea of black, sucking in a lot of ink from my attempted gasp. I tried looking around, but the mixture was too thick to see anything. I felt the poison enter my system, and knew I was about to die.

I closed my eyes, allowing my soon-to-be corpse to be swallowed by the murky liquid. My lips clamped into a weak grin, as I knew this would be my way out. Sure, I might not be alive anymore, but at least I'd be out of slavery.

I knew my last moments were dawning upon me, more quickly than not. I decided to die happy, thinking of everything that I loved or liked to do. I slowly accepted nothingness, the cleansing of my soul, knowing that the afterlife would be better. It had to be. Nothing could compare to being a literal slave, of a cartoon at that! It's so aggravating!

I opened my chapped lips and drunk more of the torture. I was lying down now, not floating, but I allowed the pain-giver to enter me. I hoped to die within the next few minutes, waiting... wondering...

Suddenly, two skinny things wrapped around my waist, and pulled me up. Ink dribbled down my humanoid form, falling onto the wood below me. My eyes were open, looking around. I felt something soft patting my back and I started to cough, releasing all the ink that was contained in my lungs. I retched a few times, but whatever I was doing it on didn't react. I finally regained the strength to stand once again, and I looked at the thing with both my wide eyes.

Bendy was standing in front of me, face contorted with disgust as my puke slid off his shiny (but dirty) body.

"Ugh. Don't do that again, I'm supposed to kill you!" Bendy snarled, glaring at me. I looked down, ashamed, before noticing something peculiar.

The glass, it's shattered.

"Um, yeah, how else was I supposed to save you?" Bendy folded his arms.

"What!? You can read minds!?" I blurted out.

"Course not, dummy. You said that statement out loud."

"Oh," I said, feeling ashamed.

"Yeah, don't expect any sympathy from me," Bendy rolled his eyes. I growled and clenched my teeth.

"Don't worry, I wasn't planning on it."

"Good. Now go wash yourself, you look like an ugly monster," Bendy grunted.

"That would be helpful, if I had something to wash myself with!" I spat, staring at the wall to stop my tears from falling.

"Temper, temper. You don't want another punishment, do you?" Bendy gestured to the places where the ink had covered my bloody cuts. I gulped and turned my gaze to his cold, black eyes. "Gods, just take off your clothes already. Your whole body can't be drenched."

"What!? No!" I cried, eyes wide as saucers.

"Oh hush, it's not like I'd fall for you," Bendy sneered. "Now take them off."

"Hmph," I growled, peeling off the sticky black clothes. The ink soaked through my undergarments, so Bendy made me take them off as well.

"Geez, it's everywhere!" Bendy exclaimed, looking over my now black body. "Why the hell did you choose to kill yourself anyway!?"

I didn't say a word, looking at the ground. I used my arms to cover myself as best I could, trying to ignore the cartoon in front of me.

"Answer me!" Bendy demanded. I took a deep breath before revealing the truth.

"To get away from you!"

There was a pause, but it was soon broken by my uncontrollable sobs. Bendy sighed and glared at me.

"Well if you wanted to die, you could've just said so. I would've done it quickly the first time, but since you kept this from me, I'll do it slowly now. Come," Bendy twirled around, leaving me to drag myself after him.

"B-but I--"

Bendy wheeled to face me again. "You wanted this, didn't you?"

I closed my mouth.

"As I thought. Now come."

When I said "all black body" above, I didn't mean it in a bad way. I don't want to see any "that's racist" comments, please. Thank you.
