Chapter 1

Ugh, I can't wait until I finally get home. I walked and walked, this world is similar in the way it looked like before all the changes in power and stuff but now there are powerful uncharted land where only a certain few are allowed to trail over. In this world at a young age your tested to see how strong of anything you are, from magic abilities to demonic abilities to heavenly abilities and of course everything inbetween. But the three, are the main structures though.

They use these uncharted plots of land to test there endurance, stamina and other stuff, this how they find out whether your a demon, god or anything along these lines. Either you burn, or you don't. In this world it's not an understatement when you say only the strong survive.

Well sense I'm still alive and twenty-two. That means I'm one of those certain few that can trail over it and even more so because my parents built our mansion on top of one and the biggest one. Plus the bigger it is, then the more power it holds, and believe me there's alot of power in them. Well with these scared plots of land you have to be at equilibrium with it and your self, one single doubt about it or you and that could be your last thought.

Anyways I finally get home and open the door and bam, mail everywhere.

"Geez, won't they ever give up."

I use a incantation to move all of this mess to the side, but of course those from higher class want vip attention and their letters always float above the rest, literally.

"Lord, I just got back from a doing a job and this, most of these letters are from gods or demons or someone powerful, ugh..so much work....."

I sigh and go into the living room, I lay my self down on the couch and sleep.

When I wake up the letters are legit infront of my face.

"Ahh, leave me the hell! Alone!" I run up stairs to the master bedroom and lock the door.

"Empódio!!"

I say the incantation and point my hand towards the door and then around the room. All you could hear were scuffling noises outside of the bedroom door. I lay my body on the cushioned window seal.

"What the hell, I just got back and now I'm dealing with an invasion of mail..in my own house....ugh, that's way too much work."

I look outside, the sun is just getting to its highest point, where its the brightest and I cover my face with my hand and go back to sleep.

I wake up to the sound of a growl, I open my eyes, my hand is on my stomach and it seems like I'm hungry. So I get up, I stretch my body, then take down the barrier. Huh? There aren't any noises on the other side of the door, I just shrug it off and open the door. But nope, those dumb letters were planning an ambush, they all rampaged around me, one hit me smack dab in the face and it stayed there until I took it off my self.

I looked at it and it said "From goddess Atalanta to Hunter Grey."

I was shocked but mostly confused, what would the goddess Atalanta want with me. I mean she's one of the most powerful and respected gods out there plus you really don't want to get on her bad side, you have to be stupid to do that, she's really nice and forgives everyone but that doesn't mean she'll like you afterwards, nope. That's not how she works, either your on her good side, the bad or on the waiting list.

Well, sense I was hungry I dashed my way down the stairs and to the kitchen. I placed the letter down on to the counter, then served my self some breakfast. As I began to eat I opened up the letter from the goddess of loyalty.

It said, "Hello Hunter I was interested in seeing if you could come to the castle for some coffee and a reward for all the work you do, and maybe a chat. Sincerely, Atalanta."

Huh? I thought gods always had to put that they were a god before their name, hmm..she's interesting. To come to her castle for coffee, a chat and a reward...still it seems suspicious but I don't want to anger this goddess..I'll go after shoving all those letters into the fireplace.
