The gem

This takes place after episode ten, and the squad has one last mission for cid before they can go. By the way, I just realized what a cockpit is, so now I'm going to be using that as the control room and the old cockpit as the center room. Enjoy! Also, your going to hate but love me near the end. Mwahahahaha...

Hunters POV
Alright, just one more mission, then we won't have to work for Cid anymore. This time, her client wants us to find this gem, and Cid says he's paying double.

"Ok, we ready?" I ask the squad.

"Yup!" Omega says exitedly.

To be honest, I missed having her enthusiasm while we were on our latest mission. I'm glad she's coming this time, but we have to be careful.

"Ok, this is our last mission, so let's make the best of it."

Omega is hooking up her bow to her back, Wrecker is helping getting everything prepared, And Echo and Tech are navigating.

"Ok, soon we'll be there."  Echo reports.

"Wrecker, can you help me get this on, it's stuck." Omega asks.

"Sure kid." Wrecker helped her fasten it on.

Hunter is dad. Wrecker is uncle. Tech is brother/cousin. Echo is brother.

💢💢💢

After a while in hyper space, we finnaly got to Alderean. Cid said the gem was round, blue, and glows, And was located inside a spot in the palace.

"we have to be quite, and quick. Got that." I tell the squad.

"Yes sir!" Omega says, doing the salute symbol. I can't help but crack a smile.

We walk a ways, being stealthy and quick.

"Alright, Omega, you go with Wrecker and Tech, Echo, your with me, when I give the signal, we'll meet up at the palace, got it?"

"Yep."

We split up and me and Echo scout near the rear of the palace. We spot some fighter droids and prepare to fire.

"Hey, did you hear that?" One of them asked the others.

"It was probably the wind stupid." Another said.

"Now."

"AHHHHH!" The droids start screaming.

"Fire!"

We shoot them all down, and luckily, they didn't call for backup.

"Tech, we're in, can you locate the room where the gem's at."

"Yes. I'm sending wrecker and Omega in."

"Omega needs to stay there! This is dangerous." I tell him.

"To late."

I shake my head in frustration.

"Just, where is it."

"Very last room, there is a secret entrance, a small one, sorrounded by guards." Tech explains.

"Hunter!" I turn my head to see Omega and Wrecker coming in.

"Copy that." I finish.

"Alright, this way." I tell them.

We run to the room, to find it was stuck.

"Now what?" Omega asks.

"I got this!" Wrecker exclaims.

With one big heave, the door goes flying open to see a ticking peice of metal. A bomb.

"RUN!"

Wrecker picks omega up and we run as fast as we can, until a we go flying.

I land with a thud, so does wrecker and Echo. Omega goes tumbling into me.

"Everyone ok?"

"Yeah."

"Why would they put a bomb there?"

"Tech, do you copy? There was a bomb there, and no soldiers either. Did we go into the wrong room."

"Hm, that's odd, ah, I see. You went into the right room, but you have to get to the spot where the soldiers are from outside. I'll be coming."

"Alright. We'll meet you there."

"Copy that."

We all sneak out of the palace, and get to the area with the room, only to find that more battle droids, and soldiers, have started to close in.

"Those stupid droids probably called in reinforcements. How did we not see this coming!" Echo grumbles.

"Hunter, I'm not able to get to you, but the gaurds have all left the room, so now you can send someone in, but more gaurds will be coming."

"Alright."

Omega runs over to me. I notice that Echo and Wrecker are taking care of it, but they need help.

"Hunter, I can go in. I know it's dangerous, but Tech said the passage is small. I can fit in and get the gem." She tells me.

"Omega it's to dangerous! You could get hurt!"

"Everyone has to get hurt at one point during battle, I'll be fine."

I can tell we both know that she could get killed. I will not let her.

"Omega, if anything happens to you I would never forgive myself. It's not worth the risk." I get down to be even with her.

"I can do it hunter. I know I can." She gave me a look of determination and I know I couldn't say no.

"Al-alright." I agreed. She started to run off and I knew I had to say it.

"Omega, I-I love you kid. Be careful, please." She stared at me for a second then ran up and hugged me.

"I love you too hunter, I'll be careful, I promise." Then ran off to the room.

I sighed and joined the fray of fighting, silently praying to the force that she would get the gem in time. She shouldn't have to risk her life for a bounty. I don't care how much they are paying, it wouldn't be the same without Omega.

After a few minutes, I here shooting coming from the room Omega went in. Panic welled up in me, but I had to tell myself she'd be fine. She's strong and smart.

Once most of the troopers are down, I see a small figure limping out of the room with a glowing blue orb. Omega. She has shot marks on one of her legs and shoulders. Her face had a scrap, and so did other parts of her body.

"I-I got it Hunter. I did it." She said. I took the gem from her and gave it to Echo.

"I know kid, I know." Her eyelids started dropping and I scooped her up.

"LETS GO." I yelled.

"Tech told me he's waiting at the ship." Echo told me.

💢💢💢

Once we got to the ship I layed omega down.

"Tech, get some bandages, Omegas hurt." I yelled once the ship started going.

"I knew it was a bad idea, I shouldn't have let her go." I grumbled to myself.

Once Tech came in he ushered me out of the room.

"I need to stay with her!"

"It won't help her if your exhausted. Get some rest."

"Fine." I glared at him.

💢💢💢

After a few hours, Tech told me Omega was waking up. I ran into the room and onto the chair.

"Hi Hunter, did- did we win?" She asked quietly.

"Yeah kid, thanks to you, I was able to help them. And you got the gem. You did great." I smiled at her.

She went to sit up and winced a little bit. I looked at her in concern.

"Does that hurt?"

"Yeah... a little bit."

"I'll go ask Tech for something to make the pain go away, I'll be right back." I tell her gently.

I get some pain medicine and give it to her.

"How's it feeling?"

"Better. Thanks Hunter."

"Alright kid, you should get some rest now." I tell her.

"Ok, good night Hunter."

"Good night Omega."

Dun dun dun dunnnn! There you go! By the way, once I get one hundred reads I'll do a special chapter with tones of hunter omega fluff! Bye! -Cavalry
