Hi guys!

This chapter is unbelievably short, but I've decided to not focus so much on this book.

The gang messed around for a minute, forgetting what they were playing and going off for a minute.

Then, Snotlout blurted out,

"Hiccup, truth or dare."

"What?"

"You know, the game?"

"Oh... dare?"

Snotlout smirked and said,

"Ok... I dare you to... GO AROUND FOR THE WHOLE DAY WITH NO LEG! Tomorrow, obviously."

Everyone burst into laughter at Hiccups horrified face and quickly pinned him down to steal his leg.

"STOP STOP! I'll take it off."

He shoved them all off, before slowly and gently taking his leg off, wincing quietly.

He handed it over to them, knowing how hard he was going to regret it.

Later that day, the gang decided to have a sleepover in the clubhouse, just to make the game more interesting and opening some chances for new dares with the darkness.

As they got settled onto the wooden seats of The clubhouse, Ruff asked,

"Tuff, truth or dare?"

"Dare duh..."

"I dare you to do the chicken dance for five minutes."

"YES! FINALLY I CAN SHOW MY TALENT OF DANCING LIKE A CHICKEN!!!"

He shouted, jumping up and starting to dance, making the rest of the gang practically cry with laughter.

After that and a couple more dares, everyone settled down to bed.

When everyone was asleep, Hiccup was sitting outside, cursing himself (NOT CUTTING XD autocorrect is being nice to me at the moment.) for having a certain thing that night. Why when the gang were just in the other room.

Astrid woke up and noticed Hiccup was gone, panicking and waking up the rest of the sleepy teens. They got up, before going outside, thinking something had taken Hiccup, and if they were noisy it would take them too.

As they walked outside, they saw the brown haired boy sitting white faced and staring at the stars, he was tense and unmoving, almost as if he was in pain.

"Hiccup?"

Fishnets asked quietly.

"Wha-!"

Hiccup said, jumping up before falling over again with a groan, forgetting about taking off his metal leg. 

The twins and Snotlout started laughing, and Hiccup walked off with his head bowed.

The gang ran after him, chuckling about the way he had to hop around. He went to the mini forge they had created, before finding his spare leg and spending ten minutes of gritted teeth and small winches before getting it on, not noticing the curious prying eyes of the gang.

He limped over to their docks, then sitting down on the wood and resting his stump in the ice cold water.

"Hiccup, is there something wrong with you're stump?"

Astrid asked, worried.

"Um... you wouldn't really understand..."

"How?"

"Oh thor... Well you know what phantom pains are right?"

The gang look utterly clueless, until fishnets gasped and put his hand over his mouth.

"HICCUP! Why didn't you say anything? Those things are really painful!"

"My dad said a Viking feels no pain. So... Yeah..."

"What does if feel like... I bet it's cool...!"

Said Tuffnut, completely oblivious to the seriousness of it.

"Well, it feels like I'm being continuously stabbed all night... so if that's cool to you I don't know..."

They just started with shock at the boy.

"Wait... so that's why you stay up so late..! I'm so sorry..."

Astrid said, looking horrified, recalling her actions from the week before.

She had seen that Hiccup hadn't slept all night, and had shouted at him and gave him a lecture all morning. No wonder he wanted to tell her something.

Hiccup just shrugged, before wincing again as another burst of pain shot through his keg, making him stand up and go to find Toothless. The gang, still curious, followed him.

When he walked into his hut and locked the door, they looked through the window in his bedroom. He fell onto his bed and took his leg off again, sighing with relief at the sensation. He then played down, feeling worse pain sho it through his leg as he slowly drifted off to sleep, letting the tears fall.

Sorry that this chapter didn't have many dares, I just wanted to change up the usual kind if chapter. Most books are just them reacting to the dares but I thought why not give it a little plot?
