It was one of those sweltering hot days on the edge when people were literally gasping for air, sweat pouring down their faces.

"URGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!! It's so hot today, can't we go to the little pond we found a while back?"

Asked the Tuffnut, surprising everybody at his ok memory.

"Uh, I don't think-"

"Yeah! Let's go, guys!"

Said Astrid, cutting off and exasperated Hiccup.

Half an hour later, the gang had just arrived at the beautiful little lagoon, sitting down and messing around.

The girl had all changed into (Viking) types of bathing suits, and the boys had all taken their shirts off, apart from Hiccup, who was sitting against a tree doing some drawings.

Soon, everyone was messing around in the water, squealing every time the nice cold water was splashed against them.

"Hiccup, come into the water, it's so nice and cold!"

"Oh, no I'm fine."

"But..."

"I'm fine."

"Ok..."

1 hour later, the gang was a bit bored and wanted to get Hiccup to get in the water with them, so they forced Snotlout to walk up to him and get him in the water.

Snotlout silently swam around the lagoon, got out quietly and went around to the sleeping Toothless laying next to Hiccup. Snotlout snuck up stealthily and, went and trod on Toothless's only remaining tail fin. Toothless woke up in surprise, a small fire coming out of his mouth, lighting Hiccups shirt on fire.

Hiccup jumped up in surprise, trying to flap away from the fire with his hands, (acting like a total doofus in the situation) only making it worse, by spreading it.

When it was about to reach the middle of his torso, it was clear he needed to get his shirt off and fast.

While this happened, the gang was sitting on the side of the water, laughing their heads off.

Hiccup ran into the forest, pulling his shirt off as he ran. (I just realised how comical this must look... XD)

The gang just looked at each other confused, but then soon forgot about the whole thing.

2 Months later, Hiccup was captured by Viggo's men. After about a week of fighting, the dragon riders finally got him back, and he seemed completely normal.

When they got back, Astrid asked,

"So, did they do anything bad, or, you know, say anything useful?"

"No. They were careful to not say anything in front of me."

"Oh..."

So the day went on, and people went around their own business, doing what they needed to do.

At the end of the day, everyone was chatting normally in the Clubhouse, everyone normal and enjoying themselves. Then, Astrid touched Hiccups arm and he did a huge flinch, moving away.

Everyone looked at him, slightly worried and confused. Hiccup looked embarrassed, and walked out, muttering under his breath that he was going to bed.

One week later, it was boiling again. (It's still summer)

The gang decided to go to the little lagoon again, as they thoroughly enjoyed it last time. At first, Hiccup grumbled a bit after what happened last time, but after a bit of persuading, he gradually agreed. 

When they got there, just like last time, Hiccup sat down and drew in his notebook while everyone else messed around.

Then Snotlout decided to step in

"Hiccup! Come in here now!"

"I'm good!"

"But you've never come in before... Wait, is the future chief scared to come into the water?"

At this little comment, Hiccup rolled his eyes, stood up and climbed up a nearby rock face. He stood on the top, backed up so they couldn't see him, took his shirts off and took a running leap, jumping off the high ledge.

He landed in the water with a huge splash, showering the rest of the gang in water droplets. The gang rubbed their eyes with their hands, trying to get the salty water out of them.

"Hiccup?"

Astrid asked, being the last to open her eyes, was still adjusting to the sunlight. She looked around, seeing the gang in the water, open-mouthed, staring at something.

She turned around and saw Hiccup, leaning on the side, water up to his waist. He was trying to squeeze all the water out of his hair, and Ruffnuts eyes were practically love hearts, her melting into a pile of goo.

Hiccup, turned around, looking at us slightly confused.

"What?"

"Y-ou.... Ha-ave a six pack!?"

Snotlout exclaimed, furious that his tiny little cousin had had a six-pack before him, Hiccup rolled his eyes, and got out, revealing his back and wrists.

Everyone gasped at the sight, and as Hiccup heard their gasps, he went white with realisation.

"Um... yeah I'm going to my forge."

He said awkwardly, putting on his shirt and walking towards Toothless, before getting on him and shooting off.

1 hour later...

After about an hour of discussion, the gang decided to confront Hiccup.

They marched to the makeshift forge, silent like soldiers going into battle. When they arrived Hiccup had his shirt off again, but even looking through the window you could see the heat waves coming off every surface. On his skin, beads of sweat were slowly going down his face.

When the gang suddenly burst in, their calm mood vanished, and they started breathing funny because of the unbearably hot and stuffy the air was in there.

The gulped up air, then said.

"Hiccup, where did those scars come from?"

"What scars? I have no idea wha-"

"Ok, Hiccup, common we know you're lying."

"But...-"

"NO. Tell us or we will use force."

Hiccup sighed and rolled his eyes, saying,

"Well, my back was from some foreign people when they came to Berk, who warned me that if I told anyone they would murder all of Berk. Then the Romans, then Viggo the other day."

"What about your wrists?"

"Um...... That was me..."

"WHAT!!!? WHY?"

"Well, I'm not happy with myself, now leave me alone to work. These new tail fins aren't going to build themselves!"

And with that, Hiccup stopped talking and began to work again.

Soon, everyone began to try to help Hiccup even when he didn't need it. They would offer to cook instead of him, and never pushed him to swim again.
