The remains of Grimmels army was slowly sinking, and as the two best friends looked at each other, they knew it was time. 

"No..."

Hiccup said quietly, looking into his best friends wide acid green eyes pleadingly. 

The rest of the village hugged their dragons, but all of them just observed the scene in front of them. Their chief, slowly breaking in front of them. 

Starting to sob uncontrollably, Hiccup managed to mutter,

"One last time bud. One last time..."

Before mounting Toothless's back and flying off together.

Flying dragons was his life. Nobody thought he could live without them. So as they flew for the last time, Hiccup savored the feeling of cold freedom, unsure whether he would ever go this which again, letting big droplets of tears fall from his eyes.

Some of the slightly more wild Vikings and the gang were flying too, all in silence. 

All the Vikings seemed to be handling it, but not too upset, but hiccup was slowly drowning in tears at the front of the group.

Patting Toothless's side, Hiccup stretched his arms wide, and for what he though was the last time, he enjoyed his friends company.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third, Son of Stoick the Vast, Dragon Conqueror and Chief of Berk.

A big title for an empty soul.

6 years before, when Toothless left, Hiccup fell into depression immediately. He locked himself in his room, making his mother so worried she fell ill. Astrid broke up with him for being boring, not talking and basically becoming a walking shell of his former person. 

This broke him more.

2 years after Toothless left, Valka is on her deathbed. The only one left who cares for hiccup is Gobber, with the gang having abandoned him.

Astrid was named cheiftess (that's spelt wrong XD) after hiccup couldn't handle it anymore.

And then, on a cold winters night, hiccups mother passed in her sleep.

 3 years later, Grimmel attacks again and captures hiccup and the gang. The gang escape, but give up hiccup so that they can live. 

2 years later the Viking heir has been turned into a machine. Wake up, train, eat, train, eat, bathe, sleep.

Day after day after day.

2 years after he had been caught, Gobber saves hiccup and successfully brings him back to New Berk, dying in the process.

Hiccup was done. In the past year he had separated himself from everyone, thinking it would keep them safe. Cutting, drinking and mourning constantly, life had no purpose anymore. Even Gobber s rebuilt blacksmiths was dusty with old age and untouched for years.

One day, Hiccup stood at the edge of a cliff. He couldn't handle it anymore. He goes to step off, before running to the village graveyard one last time.

Kneeling beside the three stones, silent tears fell from his eyes. 

"I'm sorry Dad. I'm not the Viking you wanted me to be. I've let you down, I've fell down and I'm not strong enough to pull myself up."

He just started at his mother's stone, crying silently. Finally turning to Gobbers. 

"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry...." burying his head in his hands, he sobs, unable to hold it in. 

Pick up a stick, he wrote a message on the ground,

"Silent Scream. I'm sorry Dad. All. My. Fault."

Going back to the Cliffside, he wiped away stray tears, staring into the sunset. 

It was about to disappear, when a screech could be heard. Looking up, there was his saviour.

Toothless shot through the clouds, landing next to his best friend. Hiccup ran forwards, and hugged the black Dragon like there was no tomorrow. 

He would never let go, but he somehow knew that everything would be alright.

So I've had a HUGE writers block, and even though I'm moving in 2 weeks, I will update. This one I've been wanting to write for a while, even though it's kinda depressing... XD OH WELL!!!
