Many would consider having your university's name as your surname a blessing, but unfortunately, Antoinette Belgrave was not part of that percentage of people, she hated her surname and usually went by the name of Toni.

She walked into her dorm with her hoodie covering her hair and half her face, not that she needed a dorm, she already had a bedroom in her house a mere 5-minute walk from the University, but she thought that if she lived on campus, everything would be better and easier.

Inside stood a girl with long blonde hair that was in a messy bun at the back of her head, she was humming a tune and putting her stuff away in her dresser, that was until the door closed shut, making her jump around with wide blue eyes and opened mouth, one hand over her chest and the other pulling her headphones out of her ears.

"Dear God." the blonde girl gasped, too low for the human ear, but Toni's ears picked it up just fine, "Not god." she mumbled under her breath, making sure that her voice was loud enough for her to hear, "Right... Sorry... Alyssa Drake." the girl introduced, walking forward and extending the hand that was over her heart, a light blush covering her cheeks but a bright smile on her lips.

Toni stared at her hand for a moment before easily shifting her box onto her hip, balancing it perfectly and shaking Alyssa's hand, "Toni." Alyssa nodded at Toni as she watched Toni set her box down, hood still up. "You going to orientation?" Alyssa questioned, wondering if she was going to have company.

Her question made Toni stand straighter as she looked at the bare ugly grey wall, her green eyes scanning it almost as if she was looking for an excuse on it, however, her mother's words came back to her "The best way to go unnoticed it to blend in." making her sigh softly before saying "Yeah..." Alyssa broke into a beaming smile, not that Toni saw it.

Slowly she then turned around to face the blonde, her hands stuffed in her pockets and her green eyes scanning the girl's face, Alyssa seemed sweet and innocent, the type of girl that one would be good friends with but simultaneously be hurt by her inability of say the things that need to be said.

"Would-Do you-Want to go together?" Alyssa stuttered, stuffing her headphones in her jeans pocket awkwardly, her blue eyes casting to the ground and her bottom lips becoming trapped between her teeth. This was a sight that many guys would pay to see, Toni could tell as much, and it was this sight that made her nod in reply.
