I didn't forget to update. I've just been busy and got inspired on my other book. Remember I said this was a fill in for when I'm out of ideas for the other book? When I'm flowing with ideas for Fire of the heart and I am busy the updates for this will slow down so just do beware. Okay I have time today so decided to edit what I had written and upload it. "Yes a story has to be good but it has to first capture the audience," I hear Dancingwines voice which I had now gotten used to hearing during their regular meetings.

The group always had two meetings twice a week to discuss the book. They'd already decided on the genre and theme. They were going to write a young adult romance titled Room 234's Virgin.

Kristina with Dancingwines help had written the blurb;

Hera was a virgin in every sense, she had never had a drink, had a boyfriend, gone to a club, had sex, smoked or done drugs. An angel that gave angels a run for their money. A freshman in a new college in a state away from home she always believed she could stay away from all of those till marriage, but what happens when the schools bad boy, jerk, playboy and monster in the name of Lexis comes her way? She may be able to stay away from temptation but can temptation stay away from her?

At first I thought it was just the regular rich boy poor girl, virginity bet story till I listened to the ideas and twists they were throwing out. This was not going to be a regular young adult story and the more I heard their ideas the more excited I was. Unknown to the team, I mostly listened in to their conversations when I was in the room as Kristina had their calls on speaker almost always. Hence, I knew more than I should and found out through their conversations that ShangYe hardly spoke except when absolutely necessary. He was also mostly never around which was disheartening for me as a fan who mostly listened to hear him. Upon realizing how he was hardly ever around I stopped running to the dorm to listen in to their conversations and hence was currently not up to date on what was going on.

Kristina waves at me and places her hands across her lips, nodding I make an ok sign with my fingers.

"Exactly and you don't want to do so from the third line. You must first capture your audience's attention with the first line and then make sure by the last line of the first chapter you have them so hooked they can't let go," Dancinglove says.

"A cliff hanger?" Phoenixfeathers asks.

"Yes, they exist for a reason. When done right they are the best weapons of an author but when done wrong they can be an authors Achilles heel," Dancinglove replies.

"So what would you write for the first sentence?" Phoenixfeathers asks.

"Since this is a story on a virgin it should relate to sex," Drinkingwine says to which I shake my head. As expected.

"I don't like sex?" Sellingfish throws out.

"We all know that ain't true," Drinkingwine cheekily replies after which a howl is heard making me guess he'd just been smacked.

"Look at the pot calling the kettle black," Sellingfish replies.

"I never claimed not to like it," Drinkingwine says to which Kristina giggles in such a suspicious way that I raise my head up to look at her. This girl...

"You fool, she was talking about the book,"Summerheat says as I hear another howl from whom I was now positive was Drinkingwine getting smacked again.

"Stronger, that doesn't necessarily capture your audience.  While it might ignite a curiousity as to why you don't like sex not everyone will be motivated to keep going. It has to be something that makes them curious and unable to move on till they know the end," The ever on track Dancingwine says bringing them back to the book.

"I saw someone having sex?" Summerheat asks.

"That you did, huh?" Drinkingwine teasingly replies after which a yelp is heard.

"Dude stop smacking me!" He finally cries out to which I chuckle with my hands over my lips.

"Then stop being a fool and get serious," Summerheat says. Ah, so she was the smacker.

"Dude I'm always serious when it comes to sex," Drinkingwine says earning another giggle from Kristina whom I give a side eye. Obvious much? You might as well both just grab a room now.

"Actually...that's not bad but instead...how about if someone from your family saw you having sex?" Another voice says once more redirecting the conversation back to the book.

I quickly freeze. That voice. Shang Ye had spoken! Dropping my phone on my bed, I hurry over to Kristinas side of the room and sit on her bed with my head lurched forward towards her. Raising her head and realizing what's going on, Kristina gets up from the chair and joins me on the bed  placing the phone between us. Smiling gratefully, I mouth a word of thanks to which she shakes her head and returns to listening.

"Everyone has a different reaction to seeing someone having sex. If you saw a stranger having sex what will be your reaction?" Shang Ye asks.

"Exactly, but what if you saw a friend?" Shang Ye asks.

Home run!- Drinkingwine shouts out smacking his hands together.

Pretend it never happened - Sellingfish

Memories of the other day come to mind..."Gasp! Slowly walks out of room and quietly shuts the door," Yup pretend she will alright. I stop myself. Hannah what are you thinking of? How does a comment compare to sex and why are you even thinking about...I shake my head. 

"A family member?" Shang Ye prods.

Oh Heck no!- Summerheat

It depends on the family member, my parents...the horror... my little sister? I'm going to kill the mother f****r - Drinkingwine says me to which I smile, I guess all brothers were the same.

"Amen to that," Dancinglove seconds.

Agreed- Phoenixfeathers

Yah no one wants to see that, thank you-Summerheat

I mean I won't kill the guy or girl but eww I'd be scarred for Life, Sheesh the horror even thinking about it- Sellingfish

"One thing that united us all was a family members reaction to seeing another family member having sex," Shang Ye says.

"So have the character find a relation having sex?" Sellingfish asks.

"And have it turn out to be a joke!" Drinkingwine adds.

That way we establish that the family member is a jokester who likes playing pranks!- Summerheat

And in the process introduce the other family members, love it!- Dancinglove says happily as he claps his hands together.

Gosh Shang Ye you're indeed a master! -Phoenixfeathers.

"So what should the first line be?" Kristina asks. 

Forgetting I'm not a part of this conversation and eavesdropping, I reply, "Mum, Hera is having sex!"
