(Hiccups POV)

After Blinker finished explaining her story on what she heard, silence was filled across the room. This was worse than the times that I have been kidnapped by dragon hunters for information about my clan or the time a pack of very wild and very angry dragons kidnapped me because they thought that I was a dragon hunter. But in reality, they had been hurt by dragon hunters and didn't want my clan to be hurt because of me being a 'dragon hunter' and after a while, we were able to convince them that I was on their side and would never side with those hunters.

I still have the scars to prove it. "Blackwind, what should we do?" Blinker says to our leader snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I think that we should stay away from them because if they can't find our location, then nobody in our clan gets hurt," Blackwind says to us after a moment of silence.

"I agree sir. These people look to be the gang that bullied me during my childhood on Berk and called me the embarrassment of 911. So I don't want anything to do with them but if they come close to our location, I won't hesitate in taking them down and leading them away for the safety of my clan," I reply to my leader with a hint of sadness at those memories.

"I wouldn't expect nothing more my dear Hiccup,"  Willowfuly replied with sympathy.

Bowing my head to my leaders with respect, I exited the cave and headed over to the cave I shared with Toothless, Stargazer, and their hatchlings. I headed to the farthest corner of the cave and fell asleep on the slab of rock without saying goodnight to either Stargazer or the hatchlings.

During the morning, Blackwind announced that since a Berkian ship was spotted outside the archipelago looking for us, and to use our weaknesses against us, we are to avoid them at all costs and use precautions for just in case if they do happen to find us. I have been helping Blinker, Blazer, Firebreath, Cherry, and Echostream catch fish for the clan to eat. It's an easier way to help me get off my stressful mind about what happened last night. But still, I was this close to the gang and they were so close in finding out who I was. "Hey, you okay Hiccup?" Echostream asks in concern.

"Yes, but not really. It's hard when you have the past catching up on you to bite you hard in the butt and give you a painful time while it's at it," I reply sarcastically as I catch another fish for the clan to eat and throw it over onto the pile we made for the last twenty minutes.

"Don't worry Hiccup, we got your back. After all, you are the one who saves our lives every day. Just like you saved Echostream from those trappers when she was injured badly by them and was about to be killed by them. Your much stronger than you look and you are tougher than them. Remember that," Blazer said wisely while pointing out some facts along with it.

Ever since Blazer and Melody became mates, Blazer has shown to taking a lot of responsibilities on becoming a great leader like his father. But its natural because, according to Willowfuly, Blackwind wasn't even half of the great leader he is today until he met Willowfuly and became mates with her. That just cracked me up every time and often makes me wonder about my mate. Would he accept me for who I truly am or will he just not appear and make me single for the rest of my life? "You'll find your other half Hiccup, trust me," Blinker said snapping me out of my thoughts reminding me yet again that she can read my mind.

"Hiccup, I don't mean to pry but what do you look for in a human male guy?" Cherry asks curiously which now takes the entire groups attention from fishing and onto me.

"Well, I want a guy that likes me for who I am and can put up with my personality while not holding me back from traveling the world and exploring it. But finding a guy like that is like trying to find a flying fish in a regular fishing lake," I reply after a few moments of thought before going back to the task at hand.

"It's not that hard. You'll know it when you find him," Echostream said happily before snapping her jaws open and diving into the river before coming back out with a mouthful of fish.

She takes it over to the pile and dumps her catch onto it doubling the pile just a bit more. "Okay, just a few more fish and we should be done with the hunt," Blazer announces making everyone get back to work to finish the job and head back to the clan as soon as possible.

After we were done, I began to help place the pile into five different nets for the dragons to carry while thinking over what Echostream said earlier. Once I was done, I began to mount Blinker when something grabbed hold of my hood and pulled me back away from the group. Hearing out my strangled cry, the three Nightfuries, one Monsterous Nightmare, and one Deadly Nadder dropped their catch and got into a battle stance as a sword was held at my neck. I began to breath in and out slowly and heard my captor speak, in a familiar tone that made me recognize him as Eret, "Surrender now and your friend won't get hurt."

That made my blood boil as I just opened my eyes in fury and just slammed my elbow into his stomach making him loosen his grip on me, giving me the perfect chance to turn around and punch him even harder in the stomach, nocking the air out of him. Quickly, I ran over to my friends and mounted Blazer as they took off quickly with the catch in their claws. We flew away from him quickly and was out of his sight in no time. I breathed a sigh of relief and began to rub my hurt neck from being strangled there. "See what we meant Hiccup? You are much more stronger than you give yourself credit for," Echostream said with a smirk as her beautiful silver scales gleamed in the sunlight to show off her beauty.

"Oh shush, your the one to talk with your mate and all Echostream," I reply to her blushing in embarrassment at what she said.

The dragons just chuckled and flew on to our clan. When we landed, I dismounted Blazer and thanked him for helping me out and for being ready to defend me before I took mine, Toothless's, Stargazer's, and the hatchlings portions of the catch and dragged it over to our cave with ease. After I got there, I was tackled to the ground by Whitestream, Iceblaze, and Firefury, Stargazer's and Toothless's wild hatchlings. They had three daughters and one son in their first litter of hatchlings and so far, only the girls seem to be the ones that are energetic while the boy seems to be the quite one. So Toothless decided to call him Hiccup jr but Stargazer just smacked her mate with her tail and called him Jetstream because she was once like that after she was rescued from humans. "Hiccup your back!" Iceblaze shouted with glee as she licked my face while her sisters tried to lick my face as well.

"You were gone for so long" Firefury said in concern as she tried to get her sister to move over so she could lick my face as well.

"What happened? Did you meet a human? I wanna meet one!" Whitestream says with excitement.

"Kids! Get off your big sister will ya. She just got back from hunting and if you don't then I will make sure that you won't get to go play with the other hatchlings," Stargazer says to her kids in a stern tone as she comes forward into the light with her only son.

Quickly the kids get off of me while I wipe off the excess saliva on my face. "How was the hunt aunty Hiccup?" Jetstream asks me politely as I sit up and finish wiping off the saliva.

"Pretty good Jetstream, we caught enough food to feed the entire clan as if we are having a celebratory feast," I reply to my adopted little brother with happiness as I begin to drag our portions of the catch into the cave.

"That's pretty good, but what kept you?" Stargazer asks curiously.

"Had trouble with that trapper," I reply with a bit of anger at that word as if it's the bane of my existence, which it is, and is a curse.

"At least you came back okay with everyone in patrol," Stargazer points out wisely.

"Yah, while that guy is still roaming this forest right now at this very moment looking for us," I reply sarcastically before I take out my portion of the catch and set it down at my spot of the cave before continuing, "I'm sorry Stargazer. With everything going on, I'm just stressed about what could go wrong and what could go worse."

"It's okay Hiccup. You just care about the clan so much that it's hard on you because you don't want to lose the ones you love anymore than we don't want to lose you. You just have to know that Blackwind knows what he's doing with his son. They will help take care of the clan," Stargazer says in a comforting tone as Jetstream nuzzles my legs in a comforting manner making me smile at that gesture.

"You're right Stargazer. I do miss Berk sometimes, because of a certain someone, but I'm also glad that I did leave because I found a new family to love that treats me as their own hatchling to care for," I reply as I kneel down to Jetstream's height and scratch his neck.

He purrs in happiness because that is his favorite spot before his sisters say together, "We love you to Auntie Hiccup. You're our family."

I laugh happily at their display and heard Toothless say, "They are not wrong Hiccup. You are just as much as part of this family and clan as Cherry, Melody, and Echostream are."

Smiling at his statement, I give them a nod of thanks and began to ready my food for dinner when a small white blast hit my dinner, cooking it already. I look over to see Whitestream breathing out smoke from her nose giving me a cheeky smile. "Great job Whitestream. Precise aim and great accuracy," I tell her in a praising tone making her blush.

"That is pretty great Whitestream, you might just be ready to begin part of your training," Stargazer said to her eldest daughter.

Whitestream's eyes lit up with happiness before she started dancing around happily only to be called back over to eating with the family by Toothless and dug into her and her sisters' and brother's portion. I began eating my portion when Blazer's voice sounded from the entrance of our cave saying, "Hiccup, there has been a Viking headed this way to our camp. My father needs you with me and the rest of the patrol he is sending out to interfere with this Viking."

Quickly, I finished my meal and readied myself for the combat that awaited. I told Toothless to stay with his family, to protect them and the clan, in case if this turns out to be a trap and headed out with Blazer and the rest of the patrol to stop this Viking from finding out the location of our clan.
