Tyler and Josh were getting kind of tired, after a day of soap and face masks. Josh felt kinda dirty in comparison to Tyler, as he only had the clothes he was wearing now and a slight stubble. Maybe he'd ask Tyler about shopping, he seemed to have enough money anyway.
Tyler had resided to bed, on the second floor of his apartment, the self dubbed 'Ho-le of TyJo'. Truly, creativity at its finest.
Josh was lying on his back, resting on Tyler's couch with a few blankets. He had a spare room, but the bed didn't have sheets and Tyler was going to wash them tomorrow. The apartment was silent and dark, which was quite relaxing. Josh had shed his jeans and shirt, sleeping with just his boxers on because of the night's heat.
Through the silence, Josh faintly heard a few sniffles. He got up to see what was wrong, and walked up the unfamiliar staircase to the second floor.
He found Tyler's room quite easily, as it was the only one with the lights on.
Josh knocked on the door.
"Tyler, you okay?"
Josh heard a small squeak of surprise from behind the door and a few seconds later the door opened to a misty-eyed Tyler, who was furiously wiping tears from his eyes. Josh kneeled in front of him, wiping a stray tear of his face.
"Tyler, what's wrong?"
He didn't reply, instead pointing to his laptop. Josh raised his eyebrows, confused.
"Sad fanf-fic is all." Josh nodded.
Tyler crawled back in bed and patted the space next to him, waiting for zoos he to sit next to him. Josh laid down next to Tyler, who was burrito-wrapped in a blanket and pulling the laptop closer to the both of them.
Josh saw the title of the book, the forest fic, and nodded.
"I actually read that one a couple weeks ago, made me cry like a baby. Trust me, it only gets sadder from here."
Tyler looked at him in disbelief.
"How?!" Josh chuckled.
"Let's read something nicer, yeah?"
Tyler nodded. He typed into the search "cute gay", clicking on the first one that came up, Huffing with Anger.
On the cover, a photo of two hands making a heart framed a chihuahua and a black and white cat.
Josh began reading it aloud, telling the story of how two internet girls met each other online, reaching chapter seven.
"Kat, I love you. I love every aspect of you, from your sense of humor to your amazing ability at pool. I love your eyes (please send me more eyeball photos they are literally so pretty like wow), and I love your smile and I love you! You are so funny and you make me smile, and (believe it or not) I used to be very shy but now that I've been talking to you I am more outgoing, something which I have aspired to be since a young age. You make me so happy and I cannot believe that I am actually going to fly out to meet you! I look forward to losing many more pool games and winning more connect four games with you. You make me 'huff with anger' in the best way (that sounds weird lmao) and I can't wait for that chalupa and for Disney and for becoming the next Dan and Phil. I can't wait to fangirl over Josh Dun and cry over Tyler and maybe even write a book together.
I love you! Stay awesome my love! (And wife)"
By then, Josh was the one who was with misty eyes. Tyler was bawling.
"HOW?!" He shrieked. "MARRY HER ALREADY HOLY COW!" Tyler shouted.
Josh laughed, and placed his hand on Tyler's shoulder and began the rub little circles on his back.
Tyler yawned and checked the clock, 2:34
"Joshie, m'tired. Stay?"
"Sure thing, Peaches."
Josh stretched out over Tyler's bed, tucking his noodle body under the covers.
"Goodnight Tyler."
"Goodnight Josh."
