Clint and Pietro followed Erik back to New York, though to a side Clint hadn't been to often. He knew entire towns big as the properties up in this county. Pietro could barely sit still on the car ride over, but as soon as they stopped at the front door, he ran out and back, having given himself a tour. Erik raised a curious eye at him.

"It's a cool place," Pietro informed Clint.

"Yeah? Well, don't tell Stark." Clint patted his back as they formally followed Magneto inside.

Erik had a fedora on, trying his best to not be recognized. Still, students ogled and whispered as the trio walked to Xavier's office. A head student met them at the junction, but before the kid could speak, Erik told her why he was there.

Professor Xavier wheeled back to the front of the classroom as he lectured. He gave a passing look out the door before doing a double take.

"Class dismissed," he uttered between a student's comment, and the class happily wrapped up.

Erik turned towards the classroom, watching his old friend roll up to them. Charles dismissed the student leader.

"I'd never think you'd be back here."

"He's not here for catch up," Clint replied.

Charles finally acknowledged Erik's guests. He smiled welcomingly at them.

"Of course. Let's take this to my office." Charles began to lead the way, but Pietro sped up the process.

Naturally, the other three were stunned, time catching up to them. Charles excitedly wheeled around.

"You're enrolled," he told Pietro.

"That's great and all, but he's not why we're here," Clint started.

The professor went to his desk.

"Right. How can I help you, Mr. Hawkeye, is it?"

"Peter," Clint officially introduced the boy as he sat across Charles, "has a twin sister."

"Fascinating."

"She is," Erik commented, "but what she has is nothing close to what he does."

Charles focused on Erik. He trusted his original co-leader to know what he was talking about.

"Peter's fast. Wanda's... manipulative."

"Hey!" Pietro didn't take kindly to the description.

"It's all right," Charles calmed him. "He's talking in terms of her abilities. Now, back to the problem. What can I do for you?"

"Wanda ran away," Pietro burst.

Clint side rolled his eyes. "Yes. His sister is missing. We're told you can help locate her."

"Like a bounty hunter!" Pietro sped into a seat.

Charles laughed.

"That's a lost opportunity now, isn't it?" He joked, before leading them to Cerberus.

Professor X introduced the machine to them and went to work. He sat there as long as he safely could in many sets, but he didn't get a connection. After some hours, he gave up.

"It doesn't look like your daughter wants to be found," Charles told them as he took off the helmet.

Clint looked at Erik, exasperated. All this way for nothing.

"I wouldn't give up hope just yet."

Wanda, on the other hand, was too far to hear the suggestion, lost in her own world.... quite literally. Her horrid past had caught up to her in her dreams: abusive mother, Hydra, and now Erik was in trouble because of her. Her eyes opened as Clint's arrow left its bow, and she sat up sweating in Erik's bed. Before she could do any more damage, Wanda had run out in the middle of the night, as far as she could go.

Now, she was lying curled up in the middle of nowhere, a forcefield pulsing around her in sync with her sobs. She would find peace, even if she had to create it herself.
