The Hellish Father Part One: The Mistake

"M.S. that order ready?" The King of Hell calls as hungry customers begin to impenitently demand their lunch.

"I'm on it!" I reply, getting the food onto a plate and dashing towards the table. This place has been super busy lately. There's also the Father's day special where anyone  dad who dines with their kids get their meal half off, it's crazy. As we continue the rush, I notice some shady looking mortals glaring at me.

"They look off to you?" I whisper, discretely pointing towards them.

"A little," the King of Hell whispers back, "I'll keep an eye on them. You head home early. See if Reaper's back on his feet."

"Really?" I ask.

"Sure," he chuckles, "have a good evening now."

"I will. See ya."

"See ya M.S."

As I leave the restaurant to head to the treatment center, I get the feeling I'm being watched. I stop walking, and hear footsteps stop behind me. I turn around, but whoever is following me hides out of sight. I turn my arm metal and keep walking, until my way is blocked as I turn a corner, I turn a corner, only to be blocked by one of the shady customers.

"Well well well," the other two blocking my way close in as the first speaks, "if it isn't the little bitch who put Reaper into his death loop."

"That as his doing," I growl, "I'm trying to help him."

"You put out leader out of commission," the mortals growl, "die!"

'I may be a demon," a voice chuckles, "but you are truly evil."

The King of Hell reveals himself, coming out of an alley. "You mess with her," he glares, "you mess with me. Goodbye."

With a flick of his wrist, the goons are consumed in darkness and killed.

"How'd you know I was in trouble?" I ask, "besides, I could have handled it myself."

"I know," he smiles, "but I saw them following you, and hears them say the catchphrase of the Author Slayers, 'break the pen'. I got worried.

"Oh well," I smile, "thanks anyways dad."

"Wait," the King of Hell asks, confused, "did you just call me dad?"

"Uhhhhh..."
