I shook my head and I roll around my bed."No!" I said sternly and I kept saying no. Until a hand shakes me awake. I sit up to see my mate mom looking at me with worry eyes.

I told myself as I wrap my arms around her and I let myself go. I cry and she rub her arm back and forth on my back." I'm sorry."

I said not to her but to my parents the nightmares have come back again because I decided to stay in my room for a couple weeks since my mate and the beta has seen me with Cole.

"Shh baby it okay you're okay everything is fine." She repeats over and over in my head."Zara." I heard Chloe voice.

I open my eyes and I look at the ceiling and then I turn around to see my mate mom sitting down on the chair that I never used with a book in her hands.

As if sensing me staring at her she lift her head and gave me a smile small. Neither of us saying anything just enjoying the silence.

"You're drooling." She said and I quickly wipe my mouth. "I am not going to force you to tell me what happened you don't need to tell me anything you're not comfortable with sharing out."

I nod my head." Okay Zara go do what you have to do in the bathroom and see you later in the office."

I frown at what she said."what happening?"

"Just a meeting sweetheart you will know what it about later on at 5:01 pm." She stand up and hold the book close to her chest and leave the room.

I made my way to the bathroom and I did what I had to do. When I was done i couldn't help but to just shake my head.

I want to see my brother but he's busy with training and he never gets the time to talk in the mindlink at all. And the only time I would be able to see him is when he is at home but he's been getting back home late.

And I don't want to be the sister that keeps him up just for we can talk to each other. I open the dining room door to see everyone was already eating.

I seen Sadie seat empty as well.I made my way to my seat and I grab the strawberries and pancakes that are in separated plates in the middle of the table.

"Cole?"

I said in the mindlink as I chew on the food. I frown no response at all. "Where the alpha king?" I ask Chloe since it was just me and the betas today.

" he is having his breakfast upstairs he is taking care of something." Said Emmett as he he take a sip of his orange juice." Okay Im going to say it."

Said Chloe as she stand up and smile at me."that bitch is finally gone Zara he broke up with her and I'm positive that it because of you! I think that why we are having a meeting for he can announce it to us."

She clapped her hands while she jumps up and down."fuck." I said and I stand up leaving Chloe and her shocked face at what I said.

Sadie is no longer in the picture so that means I might have to start doing my role? Of being a mate and the queen? I don't want that I barely trust them.

They can easily be the cause of my destruction.

I made my way out the door and a smile appear on my face to see Cole standing next to the door."oh hey." He said without a smile on his face and sweat running down his face.

"How is training?" Was the first thing I asked him as I followed him upstairs."it good.Zara what going on with you?"

He stops at the 4th floor and waits for my reply." The beta female just told me that the Alpha King has broken up with Sadie."

"So that means the bitch would not be in your way?"

"That the thing I want her to still be in my way it to soon and....I don't think I should do this for a pack who isn't my family."

"Zara." He said with a sigh as he thought about what to say to me." You're not letting them in. That why but if you look closely your mate family and the betas are your family."

"I'm not saying to replace our own family but your mate family.... they are your second family. And you will understand that they will want to fight for you fight to stay here."

"But..what if they die?"

He shook his head." Stop thinking about death and they are lycans it hard to kill them." He said and he walks away from me and goes upstairs.

I do the same and I stay in my room the whole time until 5:01 hit and I made my way towards the office. When I open the door I seen his dad sitting far from the desk with his mom and the betas standing next to his desk.

They looked like his own personal bodyguards which they kinda are the beta will do everything in their power to protect the alpha and Luna even getting themselves killed.

They will also be the one to take over if anything happens.

I sat down on the couch and I wait for the alpha king to start."Okay since everyone is here I will like to address some things."

He clear his throat." After giving much thought of what I have done I decided that Sadie will no longer be doing Zara role."

"She will start tomorrow with the help of Chloe on what she needs to do. And she will do it." He said sternly while I narrow my eyes at him.

"Also I should inform you that you will be standing with me in my meetings with other Alpha Kings as well. Travel not so much because we need one to stay and watch the pack house."

"On Friday we will be having a new pack coming to the pack house. They need to be registered for I can have their files with me about what pack they are."

"They call themselves the redstorm pack they have 200 members now. And the territory they took was from a pack that was attacked a long time ago which is still a mystery."

He frowns." That all I have for now."

He said and I stood up." Wait son isn't Zara supposed to be sleeping in your room now since that child is gone." She raise a eyebrow and stares at him and at me." No thanks."

I quickly walk out the room.
