3rd Night: The Mysterious Girl

~Kaname Kuran~

"I am honored to announce the representative of the Sora Empire, my daughter, Princess Serenity Airi Tsukiyomi Kuran, the crowned princess of the Sora Empire and my one and only daughter." Emperor Eiji announced.

Serenity?!

Out she came from the castle, with her long white hair and shining blue eyes. Her grandmother had put the medal on her and she looked at the crowd with a smile.

"Of course, we need to call him here up as well! My daughter's protector and husband, Kaname Kuran! Come on up here!"

My heart skipped a beat and Serenity looked over at me. Her eyes looked over to mine and it was as if time has stopped. I'm not dreaming, right? It's really Serenity...

My eyes on her, I made my way to the stairs that took me to the balcony.

Serenity... for these past few years, you've been alive...

Her eyes showed nervousness. But I must admit. I have had this desire to see her. I don't know if it's because of the blood bond we have, or if it is my own will.

I finally reached her and I then embraced her tightly.

"Serenity-denka..." I whispered.

Her scent is that of flowers... She's grown so much and just having her in my arms again feels so right...

"Kaname-sama..." She whispered.

Serenity, my sweet princess... You're here in front of me. Hearing your voice after so long calms me down...

The applause continued after the reunion between Serenity and I.

~After the ceremony~

All of us went back inside the castle, however I noticed that she was acting a bit distant towards me after we met again.

I'm walking by her side, but she's just talking to her friends and she just didn't say anything to me. It's like she's ignoring me completely...

"Serenity-denka?" I called to her.

She turned around and looked at me with a normal, but sad face. Why is she-

"Yes, Kaname?" She asked.

"I would like to catch up with you...Since you know, it's been ten years since I last saw you. I want to spend some time with you. Like we did ten years ago..."

She looked away. "Sorry, I do not know if I will have time. After the meeting, I have some paperwork to take care of. Maybe Yuuki-san will be willing to go out with you." She stated coldly, walking a bit faster than me.

Something is different about her... She's not who I remember her to be.. But now I realized something. She's angry at me and it must be because she believes that I never went looking for her...

"Serenity-denka, are you angry at me?"

I noticed that she crunched her fists and stopped.

"Serenity?" Rina called out to her.

"Can you four go on ahead?" She asked.

"Sure." Aiko answered.

The rest went on ahead, however I noticed that Satsuki of the Hi Kingdom gave me a glare and continued walking along with the others.

"We have a few minutes before the meeting. Why don't we go and talk in the gardens?" Serenity-denka stated, walking ahead of me.

"Of course..."

As the both of us were walking to the gardens, it was quiet. She did not speak a word to me, or even turn around.

I then noticed that Ichio and Ichijo were on their way to the meeting room.

"Kaname-sama, where are you going? The meeting is this way." Ichio stated.

"Please excuse him. We are going to be a bit late." Serenity stated, turning around with a smile.

"Serenity-hime. What a pleasure to finally meet you in person. " Ichio said with a bow.

Serenity looked at him with a look of distrust, but then smiled.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Ichio-san." Serenity stated.

"Serenity-hime. This is my grandson, Takuma Ichijo. Should anything go wrong with your relationship with Kaname-sama, I would like it if you can remember him."

"Grandfather....!"

"Of course. I will think about it should my relationship with Kaname not go well."

"Excellent, thank you, Serenity-hime."

"Serenity-denka, please forgive my grandfather's statement.." Takuma said nervously.

I smiled. "Don't worry about it, Takuma-san." I reassured him.

"Well then, we will see you in the meeting room, Serenity-denka, Kaname-sama." Ichio said as he and Takuma made their way to the meeting room.

Serenity-denka continued walking her way outside to the gardens and when she finally made it, she turned around and looked into my eyes.

"Kaname... Things have changed after these ten years and things aren't the same as they used to be. I think the relationship between us needs to remain formal and professional. There is no need for us to be as close as we used to."

"Serenity-denka, if you are mad at me because of what happened, I truly apologize. I don't want you to have a grudge against me. I-I can't stand the thought of you just acting that way towards me after we only just met again..."

"I'm sorry, Kaname. The reason I embraced you and called you "Kaname-sama" was because of the great amount of people surrounding us. You're my husband to the people of the Sora Empire. But I understand that this is not your happiness. This is more like a burden to you... So I will not become a bother to you. You don't have to be my protector if you don't want to. You can carry on with your life as you have always have. That is what I wanted to say to you..." She stated, turning around, beginning to walk back into the castle.

Unconsciously, I took her hand and squeezed it tightly.

"More than ten years ago, I made a promise to protect you for as long as I live. This is certainly not a burden to me. It is more like a privilege."

~Serenity Tsukiyomi~

In this beautiful windy, moonlit evening, the moon shines brightly in this sky... He and I in these gardens takes me back to ten years ago, when it was just he and I.

The wind made the flower petals follow them.

"More than ten years ago, I made a promise to protect you for as long as I live. This is certainly not a burden to me. It is more like a privilege."

"....You broke that promise ten years ago."

"Serenity-denka..."

"At that time... You weren't there when I needed you. I thought he was going to devour me and kill me... But he didn't! Because I have him to thank for saving me that snowy day..."

I noticed that his bangs were covering his eyes.

"Who saved you that night, Serenity-denka?"

"The ones that I have to thank is Zero Kiryu, and his younger brother Ichiru for saving my life. For six years, I was at the Kiryu residence..."

"Then why?! Why did you not return to the Sora Empire?"

"....I was waiting for you to find me. I know it sounds ridiculous, but those were my thoughts at that time. However, you never came for the past six years that I waited for you. You were like everyone. You thought I was dead, and you forgot about me..."

I then noticed that his hand was holding mine tightly and I then pulled my hand away from his.

"We need to get back inside. Everyone is waiting for us." I stated.

As I began walking in front of him, a painful thirst for blood hit me, and I bent down to the ground, my hands on my throat.

"Serenity-denka, do you need blood? When has been the last time you've drank blood?"

"I'm fine. Let's just get back inside before-"

I was then pulled into an embrace.

"I cannot see you in pain like this. Please, take some..." He stated, holding out his wrist to my lips.

I can't breathe... This thirst is consuming me. Since it's been years since I've seen him, his presence alone makes me desire his blood.

I need his blood.... For all these years, I've been craving only his blood... It's the only blood that satisfies my thirst...

"Don't think I'm forgiving you after this." I stated, taking his hand into the castle.

"I know." He said in a gentle tone.

I took him up to my room and I closed the door, locking it.  His eyes met my hungry, glowing red eyes. I then noticed that Kaname took off his suit jacket, loosened his tie, and unbuttoned his shirt up to his neck. He then sat on the couch near the window.

Unconsciously, I walked over to him and sat right next to him. I then slowly made my way over to his neck and bit into him with my fangs.

He groaned, and his gentle hand ran through my hair.

Images of our past together appeared.

Things that I don't want to remember... It's things that reopen the wound in my heart...

Tears began to form in my eyes. I told myself that I wasn't going to cry anymore. Why... Why can't I just throw these feelings away? Why does it have to be him?

Why...?

Why...?

I took my fill and wiped the blood from my mouth.

"I- I must leave now."

"Wait, Serenity..."

He called me by my name without honorifics...

He turned my head around, seeing my eyes covered in tears.

"Seeing tears falling from your eyes makes me upset as well. A smile suits you more, Serenity... So, please smile... For me."

Those words alone got me out of the small trance. I pulled away from him.

"I'm going. Thanks for giving me your blood." I stated, wiping my tears, and making it out of my room.

I quickly made my way to the meeting room with Kaname in tow as he fixed himself and put on his jacket.

We entered the meeting room and the way the room was organized was in a circle. There was a specific area for members of the Senate, and members of each Level S family. I made my way to where my parents were sitting, and I sat in between them, while Kaname stood by my side with his arms behind his back.

Zero and Kaito both sat a distance away from everyone.

"Kaname-san, have a seat. You are my daughter's husband. You do not need to be standing up."

"Ah, yes. I apologize."

He sat in the open seat next to me.

My father then began the meeting.

"As you all know the purpose of this meeting is talk about how the Tsukiyomi family is being threatened by a member of the Kuran family. We all know it's not Kaname-san, but Rido Kuran, who was formerly my daughter's protector."

"He did tell me years ago that he called for war, but he never really did anything after he disappeared ten years ago..."

"...I put him to rest when he attacked the Kuran residence. He shouldn't be a pain." Kaname stated.

So Rido was attacking the Kuran residence... It's only natural. He chose his sister's life over mine. They share the same blood. Kaname and I don't have the same blood. He and Yuuki do. It's only natural that he chose her life over mine. It still hurts however. That after he saved Yuuki, he not only didn't bother searching for me, but he thought that I was dead.

"You don't know if he may plan on returning. We can never be too careful." The Hi Kingdom's king stated in his loud, stern voice.

"I agree. Who knows what may be going on outside of this empire or even outside of our kingdoms, for any reason." The Tsuchi Kingdom's queen stated.

"We must take precaution and make sure the entrance to all the kingdoms are heavily guarded." The Mizu Kingdom's king stated.

"Your Majesties, just know that the Senate has your back on this. We will help you with anything you need." Ichio stated.

I looked at Ichio-san with distrust. I know he's up to something. His eyes are telling me something else. I know the other Level S purebloods know this as well. They are just hiding it from us.

"Most likely, we will be his targets if anything as we are the only ones that can leave our respective kingdoms." Satsuki stated.

"We can always be on our guard. After all, we are going against a Level A pureblood here. He should be fearing us." I answered confidently.

"That is the thing, Representative Tsukiyomi. Rido knows that he is no match for you or any of us. That is why he may be getting other Level A purebloods and lower-ranked vampires that are against the idea of our existence." The Kaze Kingdom's king stated.

I looked away.

"There is one place where Serenity-denka and all the other representatives can go to assure their safety." Kaname stated.

"And where may that be?" Satsuki stated in a bothered tone.

Kaname smiled.

"...Cross Academy."

"A school? Why should our children attend school when their safety is more safer here?"

"Because they have to leave their kingdoms as representatives. Throughout this transition, enemies may have the upper hand. And I do not want Serenity-denka to use her powers."

"Kaname... Don't worry about me." I answered blankly.

"No... Kaname-san is correct, Serenity. It's better if you try not to use your powers. Same goes for you, Satsuki, Rina, Aiko, and Azusa." Mother stated.

"I will have to agree with Empress Sakura here. Our children are far too powerful and their powers obviously surpass that of a Level A pureblood. If their emotions get the best of them, then it may surely cause problems for everyone, especially the humans." The Hi Kingdom's queen said.

"It will also benefit Kaname on him not having to come here all the time, as he has his duties as the Night Class' Class President and the Kuran household's head."

Ever since then, he's had so much to do...

I looked over to his side and noticed that he looked a bit tired, but he didn't make it obvious. One can barely tell how he is feeling.

Kaname, how much I wish I could have been the one that has been by your side to motivate you... But unfortunately, this has become a one-sided love....

"I also believe this is what is best for the representatives. This will make things easier." Ichio said.

"Now I can fully protect you without worrying, Serenity." Kaname whispered, putting his hand on mine, not making it obvious.

My heart warmed at his gesture. However, I pulled my hand away from him.

"Yes, I'm counting on you." I stated.

"All right. Then it's settled. The five representatives will transfer to Cross Academy's Night Class. This reaches the end of the meeting." My father concluded.

The five us, along with Kaname made our way out from the room when I heard Zero's voice call out to me.

"Serenity!"

I turned around and smiled. "Zero, Kaito!" I stated, waving my hand out to them.

"So you're coming to Cross Academy... I guess we are going to see each other more often." Zero stated.

"Yes, I guess so!" I stated cheerfully.

Kaname then stepped in front of me.

"Serenity-denka told me about your relationship with her. So you saved her that evening. And here I thought you hated Purebloods.  I have to thank you for that, Kiryu."

"Tch, I still hate you, Kuran. Not only because you are the same race as that woman, but also because you left her behind that evening. You...you don't understand her feelings at all!"

I put my hand on his arm.

"Zero, it's okay. It's not necessary anymore. Don't worry yourself." I said with reassurance.

"Serenity..."

"I'm going to my room now. I'm going to start packing for the trip."

"Reizei-sama, I am sorry for my late arrival. I was ordered by your father to escort you back to the Tsuchi Kingdom." A woman with long blond hair and and blue eyes said.

"That time already, huh. All right then, everyone. I must get back over there... And by the way, everyone this is my protector, Sara Shirabuki."

"It is a pleasure to be in your presences, your Majesties." She stated with a bow.

"Nice to meet you, Sara-san."

"A pleasure to meet you as well, Serenity-sama. It's an honor to be in your presence."

"Serenity-denka, I'll escort you to your room."

"Satsuki-sama, Isaya-sama is waiting for you outside the castle." Kimura called out, as he came from the door.

Satsuki sighed.

"Ahh, alright then... I'll see you all at Cross Academy." Satsuki stated, raising his hand goodbye and making his way out the door.

However, Satsuki turned around once more and looked over at me with a gentle smile.

"l'll see you over there, Serenity..." He stated in a soft tone, giving me a kind smile.

"See you..." I said, waving my hand.

"I'll be leaving now! My parents must be waiting for me outside." Rina stated.

Yes, that's right... Rina's protector was Shizuka Hio... But she betrayed the Shiraishi family and ended up getting imprisoned.

"Mehhh..  I guess I'll get going too. My protector might be waiting for me outside. You know, my protector is willing to protect me, but he's so lazy..."

"Who is your protector, Azusa."

"Kei Hanadagi... He's the son of the head of the Hanadagi family, and he recently awakened from his hibernation. I've been letting the maids at the castle offer him blood and such, but he's kind of overdoing it a bit... I know it's been like 50 years, but damn... He is lazy, but gets the job done when he needs to."

"Interesting.."

"Well, I'll see you guys tomorrow." Azusa stated, making his way out.

"I'm going to stay with you until you go to Cross Academy, Serenity. Ichijo, do you mind going back to Cross Academy until I get there?"

"Sure!" He stated cheerfully.

"Kaname, you should get back. I don't need-"

"Yes, you will. You need someone to make sure you don't lose control of your powers."

"I've been able to hold back my powers for 10 years without you, Kaname Kuran." I stated confidently.

"I'm here to serve you, Serenity. No matter how much you may hate me right now, I will remain by your side."

"U-um... I'll be going back now..." Takuma stated, making his way out.

"Yeah, I'll be leaving as well. I'll see you, Serenity." Zero stated.

"I'll come by to Cross Academy just to see you, Serenity." Kaito stated kindly.

"Wow... Now I have not seen you act that way, Kaito." Zero stated with a smirk expression.

"Shut up, Zero. Let's get outta here." Kaito stated.

After everyone left, I went to the balcony where I stood with the others and became the Sora Empire's representative.

"You can return back to Cross Academy, Kaname. I don't need you to escort me there."

"Serenity, I want to be here with you. I want to protect you...and I don't want to hurt you like I did those ten years ago. Did I hurt you that bad?"

I stayed silent.

"It seems like my plan is going to have to take another direction..." He thought to himself.

I knew it! He's using me as part of his game to protect Yuuki! I'm going to have to set him straight.

"Look, Kaname. If you think that I'm going to become a pawn in your game, then you are surely wrong. Never... never will I help you protect Yuuki. Nor will I ever even think about risking anything for her."

"That's not what I was thinking. If I have to go this far, then I will. I will change my plans. I will protect you, no matter what. If things get worse, and I will have to sacrifice my life for you, then I will. If anyone threatens you, I will not hesitate to kill that person."

This all has to be because of the blood bond we share... He didn't say these things before we ended up getting married and forming a blood bond..

"Kaname, you're acting this way because of the blood bond we share. You weren't like this..."

"Serenity, I truthfully think this isn't because of the blood bond..." He whispered.

"What are you talking about? It is."

I then felt him embrace me tightly from behind. "It's my fault you're like this... I took away your smile, your radiance that shined as bright as the moon. I must have made you suffer. And for that, I really am sorry. For these 10 years, I have kept it to myself, but I have always felt guilty when I found out about your supposed death. Then I made a resolve. That I would absolutely protect Yuuki from any danger that threatens her and anyone that tries to hurt her in any way, I would take their life away."

"Can I say something?" I asked, my bangs forming a shadow around my eyes.

"What is it?" He said breaking the embrace, turning me around.

"Why didn't you keep going? Why did you give up so easy on me? Even after you saved Yuuki that evening, why didn't you look for me after?" I stated, holding back my tears.

I'm not going to show him my weak side ever again. He saw my tears fall once tonight, but then I resolved to hide them away after.

"You disappeared... I wasn't able to sense your presence anymore. I thought that you faded from this world. I did not know what else to do, Serenity! I didn't think of what to do next! The only option that was left was to try to move on. I'll admit, after time passed I was focused on other things, but that was because I thought you were gone. I thought you would want me to move on, so I did. But it seems that I took away your smile and your happiness... And I want to make it up to you by being by your side. If I did not care about you, then I wouldn't be here right now at this moment with you. I could have returned to Cross Academy right after the meeting."

I turned around, my eyes widened in surprise. His facial expression was filled with regret and sadness.

I then felt him embrace me once again, but even more tighter.

"What can I do to make things they once were twelve years ago, Serenity? Those times when it was just you and I?"

"Things aren't the way they were like before, Kaname. You've changed, I've changed... I don't know if that is even going to be possible anymore.."

"Yes, it can be possible, Serenity... We just have to try."

"Then we can try fixing our relationship as princess and knight. Does that work for you?"

"Yes."

I knew it... he doesn't see me more than just his princess....

I smiled.

"Then it settled then. You are free to do as you wish now, Kaname. I'm going to be in my room, getting ready for our departure tomorrow. "

"All right..."

Why do I still sense something odd from him? I sense an aura of sadness and loneliness emitting from him. Now I see that he somewhat regrets what he has done.  I then slowly started walking to my room until I heard him state something.

"Serenity. I did not forget what you said that evening when you fell down that cliff."

My eyes widened, and I did not turn around.

"At that time, I felt happiness, sadness, and confusion... Right now, I..."

"Stop. The past is the past. Like I stated, things have changed for the better. It's better if we just forget what I said. I was only eight years old at the time." I concluded, making my way once again to my room.

~Kaname Kuran~

"At that time, I felt happiness, sadness, and confusion... Right now, I-"

"Stop. The past is the past. Like I stated, things have changed for the better. It's better if we just forget what I said. I was only eight years old at the time." She interrupted, once again beginning to walk to the distance.

I was going to tell her that I'm confused with my feelings at the moment. I do not know if I truly love Yuuki or her. One thing I know is it hurt me a lot seeing her speak so coldly to me.

I sighed and looked at the golden ring that rested on my ring finger.

A future with Serenity as her prince, or a future with Yuuki? I honestly don't know what to do. What have I gotten myself into? I thought to myself as I made my way to my room that was two rooms away from Serenity's.

As I passed Serenity's room, behind the doors it was completely silent. Now I realize that I hurt Serenity more than I thought I did when her eyes and mine met once again for the first time in so long.

"Kaname-sama! A girl is here to see both you and Serenity-sama. She says it is urgent." Kimura called up to me as he caught his breath.

"A girl?"

"Yes... She claims to be Serenity-sama's cousin, Hina Tsukiyomi. She is waiting for the both of you in the living room."

"I'll be right there, Kimura! I'm almost done changing!" Serenity called from the other side of the door.

"I guess I'll go change as well into something much more comfortable then." I stated, making my way to my room.

~Serenity Tsukiyomi~

As I was taking off the pins that held my hairstyle together, and brought my hair down to its usual style, I heard Kimura call out to Kaname. He stated that my cousin is here and wishes to speak with the both of us.

I got changed into some comfortable leggings and a pink t-shirt. Yes, I'm one of those kinds of princesses that likes to dress comfortable while she is at home. But my cousin? I never knew I even had one...

I then slipped on some white flats, quickly brushed my hair, and opened the door. I then made my way down to the living room, where I saw a girl with long dark brown hair and blue eyes sitting down elegantly and reading a book.

"Umm, hello there. Can I help you with something?" I asked curiously.

For a second, her eyes widened, but then she went back to her normal facial expression and smiled cheerfully.

"Oh, how cruel, cousin! How can you forget about me after all of this time? I'm Hina Tsukiyomi, your cousin. My father is the one that wanted to leave the life of a dull life of royalty and try to live with the humans!"

She is a Level S pureblood vampire, that I can sense... And my uncle Kei is living in a town outside of the six Level S kingdoms. From what I heard, he married a Level A pureblood vampire and that was the last I saw of him...

"It's nice to meet you, Hina. I'm Serenity Tsukiyomi."

"I know! My father told me so much about you! He told me that you were intelligent, beautiful, and very kind to all." Hina stated.

"Really? Sounds like your father thinks very high of me."

Uncle Kei never really complimented me as much though. It seems like he's noticed my strengths only until now...

Kaname entered the room, dressed in his typical casual kind of style.

"You must be Kaname Kuran." She stated.

"Yes, and I'd take it you are Serenity-denka's cousin?"

"Yes. I'm Hina Tsukiyomi. It's really nice to see you in person, Kaname."

Kaname and I sat on a couch on one side, while Hina sat on the other side.

"So what brings you to Sora Castle, Hina?"

Hina looked down and clutched her book.

~play the music~

"Actually, I came to pass on some some news to you. Bad things are to come within the coming months. Rido Kuran has reawoken and is gathering a bunch of Level A's, aristocrats, and Level C vampires that believe that Level A's should be the almighty race, not the Level S vampires. I want you two to survive this more than anyone... You two are the future Emperor and Empress of the Sora Empire and the ones that will bring forth the coexistence between vampires and humans in your rule..."

Why is she so confident about this? I don't even know if Kaname and I are even going to stay married at this point...

"Hina-san, what do you mean Rido has reawakened? I put him to rest ten years ago. And he needs a great deal of Kuran blood to be able to awaken."

"From my understanding, it doesn't just have to be the blood of someone from the Kuran family... It can also be someone from a Level S family that can awaken him as well. Of course, both of you know that the blood of a Level S pureblood vampire is far more superior than that of a Level A. Someone from one of the Level S families must have awakened him."

Damn it...Why does he have to return at a time like this? And who could have awakened him? I don't think any of my friends are even capable of doing something like that..

"Rido Kuran is in alliance with one of the Level S kingdoms, and his intention is to wipe out the five remaining kingdoms and take over the castles with other Level A purebloods. He knows that you and the other representatives are not allowed to use your powers and they think that you all are relying on your knights to protect you."

Kaname looked at Hina with a suspicious look on his face.

"How would we know if you are one of them, Hina-san?" He stated in a threatening tone.

However, Hina was not fazed at all as she giggled, then answering his question.

"Heh. I knew you would ask me that. But no, I am not one of them. I just want to protect you both to make sure the future of this world stays as is."

"How do you know all of this, Hina? Even we didn't know any of this until you told us." I asked.

"That is a secret." She stated with a smile, putting her finger on her lips.

Hina then stood up from her seat.

"Well, I must get going. I wouldn't want my father to worry now."

Kaname and I then stood as well.

"Okay then. Would you like me to send some guards to escort you back?" I asked her.

"No, it's alright. I'm a Level S pureblood vampire as well, so don't overestimate my powers! Anyways, I'll see you guys at Cross Academy!"

"Wait, you're going as well? I had no idea that-"

"Vice President Takuma Ichijo-san should have received the papers today. He's probably going to send you a telegraph message so that you can confirm it! See you!" Hina stated, waving her goodbyes and making her way out of the door.

"That was weird. Never have I thought that I had a cousin..." I stated.

"I as well. I've never seen her at all. But her personality reminds me a bit of yours." Kaname stated.

"Heh...I'll have to admit that is true." I stated with a giggle.

"You laughed for the first time in a long time in front of me, Serenity."

My heart skipped a beat when he stated that to me.

"Why? I'm not allowed to laugh when I'm in front of you? Please. I'm going back to my room. Get some rest, okay? We leave at dawn, right?"

"Yes."

I then put my hand on his shoulder, and went back to my room.

~Third Person PoV~

As Hina made her way into the woods, she came across someone in a black cloak wearing a hood which covered his face. He also wore a blue mask to conceal his identity even more. But Hina knew in an instant who that was.

"Father, why have you come all the way here? I told you that I can help Kaname and Serenity on my own. Especially when you're a Level A, and I'm a Level S." I stated.

"But did you have to lie, saying that Kei Tsukiyomi is your father?" He stated in a dejected tone.

"Of course! You know more than anyone they cannot know who you are..."

He sighed. "You are right. But it made me a bit jealous. You are my one and only precious daughter."

I sighed. "And you just had to leave Mother alone..."

"Actually, your mother told me to come. She was a bit worried for you as well. These are going to be tough times for those two and the people that will surround them." The mysterious man stated.

"That's why I'll be at Cross Academy! To help them when that time comes..." Hina stated.

"That's right. And I'll be watching from afar to make sure you are safe."

"Oh, Father... You and your overprotective traits..."

"That's how I will remain. Also, try not to attach yourself with anyone at Cross Academy."

"Don't worry. I understand that." Hina stated confidently.

"Now we should get back home so that you can get ready." He said.

"All right." Hina answered.

And with that, Hina and her father disappeared as dawn slowly began to show itself...
