Chapter 10
"Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering," Master Yoda's words rang inside my head, as I stood in the halls of the Jedi Temple.
We were allowed to take a small break after the second round, since we were without water and a cooling system for a long time. I was sitting out on a bench, drinking some water, when suddenly, someone slammed a door.
I shot up, and saw Anakin running towards me. I stood still, closing the water bottle so water wouldn't spill over me. He threw his arms out, and reached for me, picked me up by my waist, and spinned me around in the air.
"I'm so proud of you!" Anakin laughed, hugging me as he put me back down onto the floor.
I shook my head from being dizzy. "Why...?"
He laughed once more, smiling and all. "Well, for one, you made it to the third round! And you didn't die!"
I chuckled, and took one more swig of water." Well, I try to stay alive most of the time."
He laughed, and ruffled my hair. "Well, I suggest you go back into the computer room and go to the third round. "
I nodded, and set my water bottle outside of the door. I went back inside, and faced the black and yellow grid room.
Anakin followed me, going back up to the observatory room with the other Council members. The window disappeared, and soon, the scenery changed.
"Welcome to round three Younglings. There is a special test for each one of you. Jedi are trained by several years not to be afraid, and have no fear. Today, we will test to see if it comes true. We are testing your greatest fears, of what you used to be afraid of, to see if you came over your fears. Good luck, and may the Force be with you," said Master Fisto.
I heard a mutter over the intercom, saying,"There is no such thing as luck." I smirked, and instantly knew it was Obi-Wan.
Quickly, the scenery changed, to a room in the Jedi Temple. What was I doing here? I looked around the room, and saw that it was the room Anakin and I shared over three years ago, before the twins were born. The room was empty, except for the sheets that were placed on the beds, and the mirrors were replaced from the broken ones. It looked brand new, like before I had moved in here. Well, except for the blaster marks plastered on the wall and the couch.
Happy memories flowed through my mind as I walked back and forth between Anakin's room and mine. Also the weird memories were coming back, as well. I shook my head, and tried to get those kissing ones out of my head.
I ran my hand along the sheets of my old bed, and saw the blaster marks on the couch, from when the bounty hunter attacked. I rolled my eyes, thinking of the chase I had taken on, without my Master's permission. I had feared him a little bit from those past three years, but now I guess you could say I had some sort of attachment. Master and Padawan attachments are the only good attachments... According to Yoda.
I shrugged, and made my way out of the room, using the Force to slide the doors open. I instantly felt a dark presence roaming the halls of the Jedi Temple. It wasn't a mysterious dark, but an evil sort. A Sith.
I looked to my right, using the Force to sense where the evil was coming from. There was a quick flash of blue, and a sound of a lightsaber going on. Lightsabers were clashing, and things being cut.
As fast as I could, I ran to the aid, with my lightsaber in hand. I flicked it on, and turned where the action was happening. I saw a dark figure looming over dead... Younglings?! There was a blue blade in hand of the killer, with a dark brown cloak over the figure. I got a sense from the Force to see who it was, and found it's presence vaguely familiar... Anakin?!
The figure finally turned around showing, glowing, yellow eyes-- eyes of a Sith. I saw a tear fall from an eye, and he swirled his lightsaber in his hand.
"Anakin?! What-what happened? Why did you...?" My eyes trailed to the lifeless Younglings on the floor, then back at my Master.
He raised an eyebrow, and looked at me, staring at me like I was some ghost. "You will not live to see another day," he growled, coming for me.
I knew it. He didn't recognize me. To him, I was just another Youngling. This... Was honestly scaring me. I didn't want to see him like this. "Anakin! This isn't you!"
He maniacally chuckled. "Of course it's not me. I have a new name... Darth Vader. "
I shook my head, backing up, with my lightsaber still in hand. "Why are you doing this?!"
He looked up, his chin high, stopping in his tracks. "To save Padmè. She will not die. She's everything to me. I can't live without her."
I shook my head. This had to be some alternate universe or something. She was already dead. "Anakin... You don't want to fight me," I said, trying to sound tough, even though I knew I had failed.
He laughed evilly. "Oh (Y/N), I have waited so long for this. "
Suddenly, I was afraid. I didn't want to hurt him, and I didn't want to get hurt. He was the fricken Chosen One for crying out loud. The one with the most Midi-Chlorians! Have you SEEN his lightsaber combat?! But that's not the point. I had to stand up to my fears, and face them. And I guess facing my Master was my greatest.
I got in my ready stance, and threw off my Jedi cloak, as well did he. "I will do what I must."
He stared down at me, and charged with his lightsaber. I blocked, our sabers clashing against one another. We released, and he took another swing. I ducked, and swatted at him, but his reflexes caught it, the sabers clashing once again. I slashed at him, but he jumped back, and blocked with his lightsaber.
We fought and battled, for what seemed like for hours. Beads of sweat started to form upon my forehead, as we gained more energy into our battle. My arms started to grow tired, and my wrists started to cramp up.
However, Anakin had a change of plans in the battle: he quickly sheathed his lightsaber and threw it on the ground. He threw his mechanical hand out, and used the Force to Force choke me.
"Let's go ahead and end this," Vader muttered, with a smirk. He started to lift me up into the air, still choking me.
I clawed at my neck, trying to push away the invisible choker. So many emotions were clouding my thoughts right now, that's why I couldn't focus. I looked straight at Vader, who used to be my Master, my friend, my mentor, and his old self, Anakin Skywalker. I gathered up all of my energy that was remaining in me, and used the Force to let myself go.
I did a back flip out of his grasp, calling my lightsaber to me. I dashed up to Anakin, and practically gave him a super punch into his jaw, causing him to fall over. I fell over him, and pressed my arm against his chest, and held my lightsaber up to his neck.
"I think, that you need to take a chill pill," I sarcastically remarked, holding the saber closer to his neck.
He held his head back, and looked down at me, smirking, and his eyes returning to a normal blue. His smile was as corny as ever, with his cute gaze of his staring up at me. "Congratulations. You just made it to the fourth round."
