(Y/n) POV

In the next couple of days me and the rest of Rias' pieces have been busting the Red Dragon Emperor's ass trying to get him to train properly, but time is up 

"So, do you think were ready?" Rias asked me while we prepared in her club room 

"Like I said before, this isn't going to be easy by any stretch of the imagination, just play it safe" I said and Sona Sitri and her queen Tsubaki came in 

"We will be helping with the live broadcast, besides it is her first rating game, I wouldn't miss it for anything" 

"Well I make sure to make it interesting" Rias said and a white magic circle appeared on the floor and Grafia came out of it 

"In a few moments we will use this magic circle to be transported to the game and Rias" 

"Hm?" 

"I have also been sent to inform you that the great devil Lucifer will be watching as well" 

"Oh, brother dearest" Rias said slightly downcast 

"(Y/n), are you coming?" Grafia asked me and I got up 

"Wait, aren't you participating?" Issei said as I stood by Grafia 

"No I will not but i will be with Sona watching you guys out on a good show" I said and we all got in the circle and were transported to the games dimension. It was an exact copy of the school and from the looks on Issei's face it was very accurate. I sat down at a table with Sona and Tsubaki 

"So (Y/n), you've been working with the Red Dragon, what do you rate their chances of success?" Sona asked while both teams were planning and starting their first moves 

"Honestly this could go either way, while Rias has the brains advantage  in contrast Riser outnumbers them and they can't forget that Riser has a lot more experience than Rias, there's no doubt it will be interesting" I said as Issei and Koneko started fighting three of Riser's pawns and a rook. The two of the smaller pawns had chainsaws and they were chasing Issei and it was quite comical to watch them try to cut him up. For some reason he stopped and his wings came out of his back and he touched each of the pawns and he was doing his 'special move' 'I wonder what this could be?' I thought and when he snapped his finger the girls clothes exploded off 

"What an idiot" I said face palming at his 'special move 

"What a pig" Tsubaki said clearly disgusted by it 

"Did you teach him that?" Sona asked me and I just shook my head 

"I had no involvement in that" I said turning my attention back to the screen 

"Well, it is effective, nothing will stop a girl in her tracks faster than having her clothes blown off but it is still a little rapey"  and Issei and Koneko came out of the gym only for it to explode from a bolt of Akeno's thunder 

"Lead them into a trap then blew the place sky high, interesting" Sona said as the screen focused on Akeno 

"Yeah, that was a well executed plan of attack, but now Riser has to go all in" I said and we watched as Kiba engaged three of Riser's pawns and with out a shadow of a doubt Kiba was easily going to win. We went back just in time for the ground that Koneko was standing on to explode and Riser's queen was flying above them and Akeno went to fight her. Rias and her bishop then left their headquarters so she could go after Riser herself and Kiba and Issei were now up against three pawns, a knight, a rook and a bishop who was Ravel Phoenix, Riser's little sister. There were a few blasts in the distance from Akeno and Yubelluna fighting each other, and Riser's knight and Kiba started dueling while Issei was being beat up by two girls with cat ears 'Come on, I trained you better than this' I thought watching him get smacked around. Issei then used his boosted gear and gave Kiba a power up that he used to make tons of swords come out of the ground knocking all but Ravel out of the game "Smart play" I said to myself as the two relished in their victory. What came next made both of their, and my own, hearts sink. Akeno fell out of the sky bruised and beaten and she was eliminated, shortly after Kiba getting blasted and he also was eliminated by Yubelluna 

"How'd she do that?" I said and Ravel answered my question by talking about her families Pheonix tears and they they can heal any injury sustained 

"That can't be allowed" I growled as Ravel boasted 

"They are, but only two shots and that's it" Sona said while I got up 

"I'm going to get a better view" I said stepping out. I transported to outside the game area. I sat on a circle watching as Rias went at it with Riser, no matter how hard she hit him he could just regenerate it faster than she could land another attack. I shook my head and sighed 

"This game is over" I said to myself as Issei went inside and got himself promoted to challenge Riser. He got up top and the two began fighting, Issei was clearly outclassed 'there's a reason Riser has so many wins under his belt, as much as I hate the guy he commands a large amount of respect' I thought as Riser knocked Issei down before picking him up by his neck 'He isn't going to-' my train of thought was broken by Riser raising his hand to finish Issei off 'Not again, Pheonix bastard' I thought jumping down and kicking Riser in the face 

"What? Riser thought he wasn't participating? Riser said recoiling from my hit 

"Game's over Riser"I growled at him but he smirked at me 

"Does this pawn really think he can stand up to a pure blooded devil such as myself, don't make Riser laugh" I growled and said under my breath 

"Riser needs to learn how to talk in the first person" I said getting in a fighting position 

"(Y/n)?" I heard Rias say confused while Riser lit his hands on fire. I was about to activate my own boosted gear but before either of us could move Rias jumped in front of Riser pleading with him to not hurt either of us and that she admits defeat. That's it, game over.

Time skip

I was siting in the club room back on Earth while Issei was angry about losing 

"Issei, can you calm down, its' over, there was nothing more you could do" I said sitting on the couch 

"There's always something more you can do!" he said stomping around Issei

"I understand that your angry, bu-" and he cut me off by grabbing my collar and making me face him 

"Maybe you didn't train me right, and your a failure as a teacher" when he said that, it echoed in my head. It brought back so many memory's, incredibly painful ones. 

"Issei" I said my bangs covering my eyes and I pushed him back so I pinned him to a wall 

"You best watch your tongue, I don't care if your the servant of Rias or not, I will personally rearrange your internal organs if you ever say that to me again" I growled dropping him onto the floor. I then stepped away from him and went over to the other side of the room and said 

"Grafia will be by your home later with your invitation, don't do anything stupid" I said going back to the underworld. Once I got to my room I dropped to my knees with his words echoing in my head. Failure, failure, failure, that's all I could hear, it sounded just like 'her' when she said it. I rubbed my head and I could hear Revanant talking 

"Relax, it sin't real" 

"I know, I know, the headaches are getting worse" I told him while my hand glowed purple 

"You need to tell someone besides me, I'm only able to do so much from inside your head" he said again as my room's door opened with Grafia standing there. A short reprimanding later about why I shouldn't get involved with rating games guests started arriving. I got in my suit and began letting them in and escorting them to the ballroom. I was talking with some guests when Riser made his grand entrance 

"Greetings renowned devils of the underworld, on behalf of the house of Phoenix riser would like to welcome you to a momentous occasion to all devils, two great powers are forming into one, Lord Riser of the house of Phoenix and Lady Rias of the house of Gremory" he said as Rias appeared in a beautiful white dress, only for the doors to fly open and Issei was there with his boosted gear activated on his arm "Stop him" Riser yelled and guards surrounded Issei only for seconds later to get knocked out by Kiba, Koneko, and Akeno 

"I thought I told you not to do anything stupid" I said smacking the back of Issei's head 

"Hey, this wasn't my idea" he said as I smacked him again 

"Than who else would come up with such a dumb plan?" 

"I did" I heard a familiar voice say and I turned around and Lucifer was standing by Rias 

"My lord, what do you mean?" Riser asked him 

"Riser, during the game you may have won but during it you were brought to your knees by a first time competitor, I doubt that your family is proud of your performance today so think of this as a sort of a addition to the game" 

"So, you want us to fight?" Riser said glaring at Issei 

"Yes, a dragon versus a phoenix, I think that would be a swell match up and I think your guests would agree" the arena was set up shortly after and Issei and Riser were sent inside. They squared off against each other on opposite sides of the arena 

"So, was my idea still dumb?" Lucifer said to me 

"I stand by what I said". We watched as Issei powered up his boosted gear and activated his balance breaker 'Wow, never thought the kid had it in him' now it was a more even fight. The two were flying around each other and ecah were landing hard hitting blows and Issei slammed Riser into the ground 

"(Y/n), how would you rate the dragon's chances of victory?" Sirzech's asked me 

"Wait for it" I said and Issei's scale mail came off of him "There it is" I said as Issei fell onto the ground. Riser then got up and started gloating and his sister didn't help at all, it was at this point I decided to step in 

"Sirzech's, sub me in" I said standing up 

"hm?" 

"Well, technically, I was a servant for Rias and that kind of means I'm still one of her pieces" and he laughed to himself 

"Loopholes as always (Y/n)" he said and I took my jacket off.

3rd POV

Riser held Issei up by his throat and was about to deliver the finishing blow but he was transported out of the arena 

"What is this?" Riser said angrily 

"Hey Riser" he heard someone say and (Y/n) was standing on the other end of the field "How's it going bird brain?" (Y/n) said as his hand glowed purple 

"Rias, would you like to know why I specifically sent him to train with the red dragon?" Sirzech's said to Rias 

"Why?" 

"The best way to train a dragon" and (Y/n) held up his right arm 

"Is with a dragon" and (Y/n)'s black boosted gear's purple center gem glowed with the silver spines glistening.
