~In the morning~

  Night groaned as his alarm blared into his ears. He turned it off and sat up slightly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He carefully moved Fred off his chest and got up, getting dressed.
         "Fred wake up. We have school today." He said, pulling his shirt on. Fred responded with a groan and curled up underneath the blankets more. Night rolled his eyes and pulled the blankets off the bed. The smaller male whined at the sudden loss of warmth.
         "Hey... Night you asshole. Give me the blankets." Fred mumbled. Night shook his head.
         "Nope. Now get up and dressed, we have school today." Fred groaned again, but got up anyway.

The two stood at the bus stop, waiting for the long vehicle full of screaming children. Fred fiddled with the string to his hoodie, debating whether or not to tell his lover why he threw up the night before.
         "Night, I have a question..." He started, receiving a hum for a response. "What do you think about children?"
         "I love them, but I don't really plan on having any right now. I mean, we are still in high school." Night explained. "Why do you ask?"
         "U-um... Night... I'm-" he was cut off when the bus pulled up. Night grabbed the yellow bear's hand and led him on the bus, finding an empty seat for them.
         "Now... What was it you were going to say?" Night asked. Fred gulped, afraid telling him would ruin their relationship.
         "Night... I-I'm pregnant..." Fred finally said, tears gathering in his eyes. Night's eyes widened in shock.
         "W-what?" Night shook his head. "Wait. So... You're saying that we're going to be parents?" Fred nodded softly, then squeaked when his lover suddenly hugged him.
         "You're not mad..?" Night chuckled softly.
         "Why would I be mad love? I love children. And now I get to have one with the one I love." Night placed a soft kiss on his lover's lips. Fred smiled and cuddled with him the whole rest of the way to school.

The bus pulled into the school parking lot. The doors opened and screaming children and annoyed teens piled out. Night and Fred walked into the high school with their hands intertwined together, trying to find their friends. A figure bounced up behind them.
        "HI GUYS!!!" It screamed, causing both bears to jump and cover their ears.
        "Chickadee! One of these times you're gonna blare out our eardrums!" Fred complained, trying to shake the ringing from his ears. Night nodded.
        "Yeah seriously, stop doing that." Night said. "Where are the others?"
        "Around. They sent me to look for you guys." Chickadee, a kinda short female chicken with sharp teeth and a dress that says 'Let's Eat!!' in faded colors, said.
        "Tell them to meet us at our lockers. We have some news to share with you guys." Night said, grasping his lover's hand again, and leading him over to their lockers.
        "Night. I don't want to tell them that I'm pregnant. They might think less of me..." Fred said, putting his backpack in his locker. Night did the same, then kissed the smaller male's forehead.
       "You'll be fine baby. We've known them since we were in kindergarten. If they don't like that you're pregnant, then that's on them. No one is ever gonna get in the way of our relationship." Night hugged him tightly. "I love you, and that's all that matters." Fred sighed and hugged him back.
        "Thank you Night... You always know how to make me feel better..."
        "Night! Fred! Hey!" A new voice called.
        "Damian! Hey, how was your weekend?" Night asked. A tall brown bear with torn ears jabbed a thumb over to a slightly smaller red fox.
        "Stuck with that asshole all weekend. Terror was out of town." Damian said.
        "Aye. It was eit'er me, or be bored fer the weekend." The red fox said with a thick pirate accent.
        "So what did you and Felix do anyway?" Terror, a bluish-purple bunny with red eyes, asked. Damian shrugged.
        "Hung out, played video games. You know, typical weekend stuff. Now, Chickadee said you guys have something to tell us." Damian said, turning toward the couple. Fred's ears dropped a little as he continued to play with the string to his hoodie. Night wrapped an arm around him.
        "Guys... We're gonna be parents." Night said. Their friends were silent, but Chickadee's fangirl screech broke it.
        "Oh my gosh!! I'm so happy for you!!" She yelled, running over and hugging Fred tightly. Felix came up and patted Night on the shoulder.
        "We be happy fer ye two!" He said.
        "Totally! How far is he?" Terror asked.
        "Probably a couple we-"
        "A month and a half." Fred said. Night looked at him.
        "What?! How long have you known?" Fred looked at him tearfully.
        "I-I found out a month ago... I was scared to tell you." The bell rang, signifying that class was gonna start soon. Night sighed.
        "I'll see you at lunch baby." He said, giving Fred a quick kiss on the lips, then walking off. Fred sighed and grabbed his stuff.
        "See you guys at lunch."

~~~ After School ~~~

Fred and Night sat on the bus, a brutal silence between them.
        "Are you mad at me Night?" Fred asked suddenly. Night shook his head and sighed.
        "No I'm not mad baby. I'm just... Disappointed that you kept that from me." Fred laid his head on his lover's shoulder.
        "I'm sorry Night... I only did it because I didn't want our relationship to end. I love you so much, and losing you would be the worst thing I would ever experience..." Fred said, closing his eyes. Night rubbed his head against Fred's and gave his hand a reassuring squeeze.
          "I love you too, and losing you would be the worst thing I would ever experience too..."
