We bandaged my bleeding arm and tried to act like nothing happened. Now that I'm not focused as much as I was about the fight with the weird shadow thing, I realize my arm hurt like hell.
We walk downstairs and Mom asks what all the noise was. Kaylie explains about the video game and how Daniel got mad and started to throw stuff. Mom laughs and mumbles something about teenagers. We sit down in the living room and eat cookies that Mom made.
She notices me wince every time I moved my arm and asks what's wrong. "Daniel threw his controller at me," I say simply. Mom nods and walks off. Daniel hits my good arm and glares at me. Kaylie and I laugh silently. "We could have died," He whispers.

At around seven, Kaylie and Daniel leave and head for home. I go back upstairs and look around my sister's room. We had cleaned as best we could. No one really knew how to get blood out of carpet, so I just grabbed everything that removed stains.
I'm pretty proud of my self because you can't tell that someone bled all over the floor unless you look really close.
Where the hammer hit the wall was another story. There is now a pretty noticeable chip in the paint.
We decided that if anyone asks, I tell them it was like that when we got the house.
I walk over to the closet and peak inside. "I'm sorry Maria," I whisper into the empty space. I turn back around and scan the room one last time. "I'll get you out of there." 
I step into my room and flop down on the bed. Okay, I think, I got up to look in a box, then it went dark. I was in my house but not. Maria is stuck there. When the shadow came in, I attacked with a hammer. In the real world the hammer was moving too. The thing scratched me and I bled in the real world.
I think all of this through, trying to connect dot and failing. There is some big questions that I can't answer: How did happen. Why did it happen. Finally, what the hell happened?
I tiredly rub my hands on my face. Something weird is happening and I have no idea what it is. I need to go back is the last thing I think before drifting into a restless sleep.
