We called the cops the night she went missing. They have been looking for her for the last week and a half. The near by neighbors helped us and the cops try to find Maria. No body has though.
They think she tried to find a hiding spot outside and got lost. I don't believe that though. Maria never got lost before, she would've found here way back already.
Mom and Dad haven't been taking it well. And to tell you the truth, neither have I. Even though it is late September and school has started, I've been able to stay home. I'm going to go soon though or, as Dad has always said," I'll end up dumb like him."
I've looked everywhere in the house and out side for Maria. I've called her name until I can speak. But she never pops out and laughs at me for not finding her sooner.
I feel like this is my fault. Mom and Dad explain it away by saying it's no body's fault. I still feel bad though. But I have to stay strong, for Maria.
