I need help.

I know where I want this story to go, just not how to get there. I have NO IDEA how to proceed without it being boring and slow. The only way I could possibly get through even the next chapter is to repeat the chapter after the one with the dogs and have a suspenseful time skip, but I've been busy with guitar and school stuff.
