When the group arrived at the mansion, it was evening so they headed inside and ate one of the meals Flora made them. All of them were exhausted so they changed into their night clothes and headed to bed. Ariel slept in the master bedroom while the others took the guest rooms. Despite their protests, Ariel held her foot down and insisted that if the master bedroom was haunted, then they'd need someone in there to check it out, and if it was a prank, then she could find the jokesters faster and put an end to this mess. The others finally relented and slept in the guest rooms. Everyone was knocked out when they slept, because of the day's traveling. At around 1 in the morning, Ariel woke up.
"What year is it?" She asked herself, not knowing if she slept the rest of the year away. "Wait, I haven't aged a day, I think I should be fine. I need to pee." She got out of bed, Omega Yato in hand and used the glow of her sword to find the bathroom. When she got out of the bathroom, Ariel thought it might be a good idea to grab some water before heading back to bed. As she got her drink,she heard a familiar voice.
"Ariel?" it asked. "Is that you?" Ariel spit out her drink as she heard this.
"Anthony!?" She replied, shocked and kind of frightened. There was no way this was a prank. Nobody could replicate a voice that accurately,down to the last detail in vocal chords unless there was a tome or spell like that where Odin was from.
"Your probably just hallucinating Ar. Your overtired and need to go back to bed. Tomorrow you probably won't hear this weird hallucination of your best friend who is currently dead and buried and the exact place where you two first met." As she said this,she slipped on the water she spit out and crashed to the ground, breaking the cup and her 3 other companions rushed to her aid, despite being half asleep.
"What happened Ariel!?" Hinoka asked, ready to shove her naginata up someone's ass for hurting her stepsister.
"Well, I woke up, peed and then thought it was a good idea to get some water. When I was drinking my water, I swore to Naga that I heard Anthony calling my name! I think I might be hallucinating that but as I walking back to bed, I slipped on the water I spit out and here we are now. This place is definitely haunted. There is no way in the name of my crazy ass father that there isn't another option unless there's a time or spell that can replicate someone's voice down to the last detail!"
"The closest thing in Ylisse to that is a megaphone time, but it was made by an Anna." Ophelia said, shockingly not in her weird way of speaking.
"So this place is haunted!?" Ignatius shouted, obviously concerned for his safety and the girl's safety as well.
"We aren't drawing to any conclusions right now Ignatius. Let's all get to bed and discuss this in the morning." Hinoka said as she helped Ariel get up off the floor.
"Ok then..."
As the four left and the lights were shut off, a tiny aspiration appeared above the water spill...
"Ariel, you were never this afraid of me before..."
