"You are what?" I asked.

"I'm going into the office today. I have to go back," Thanisha said.

"Babe, why don't you just go back some other day," I said.

Like once Sameia stops working there.

"Shehry, I'll be back soon," she said.

"Please don't go," I said.

"Ugh!I guess I can go some other day," she said.

"Thanks meri jaan," I said.

"No problem,"she said. "And besides, I don't really want to go."

I laughed at that. I seriously don't need you to go. Just give me some days, and I'll stop trying to avoid letting you go to work.

"I'll just call tomorrow and talk to the receptionist," she said.

I sighed. Receptionist, not a problem.

"I can live with that," I said.
