Setting: HQ
Time: September 20, 2024 11am

1 day after the whole Central Park mission, the team had left the apartment in a very gloomy mood.  Some still frustrated and some still moping at the fact that the monster almost prevailed. The group came to an understanding that they all needed to take a break, they all needed to Unwind.  Thankfully, Evens birthday had passed giving them a reason to go out and have fun!  But, based on what Essence experienced, how will she convince them that going out for Evens birthday isn't the best thing to do?

"I've been feeling like sh*t Ma, honestly this whole thing sucks." Dom complained, currently on the phone with their mother

"How many times are you gonna call your mommy in frustration? Like I'm sorry but your mommy's not going to kiss your boo boo and make it feel better." Cher rolled her eyes

"Shut up at least my mom cares!" Dom argued

"Alright let's not argue, I have a feeling it's not the best for everyone's emotions." Essence mumbled

Dom and Cher rolled their eyes and walked off, Essence was the one who ended the arguments starting 1 day ago. I mean she's just trying to keep spirits up right? The team would need a bounce back, and arguing wasn't going to help it.

"Do you guys want some snacks? Anyone have any laundry? Does anyone have any questions?" Essence asked, preparing the kitchen

"You know what, you've been acting strange lately." Taylor pointed out

"Yeah, nobody acts this nice. What's been going on?" KC asked

"Nothing important!" Essence smiled

Everyone, even Even didn't believe her, clearly something was up. The group stood/sat in silence waiting for Essence to break with looks on their faces that scream 'Tell us what's happening or we'll kick your a*s'.

"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! They've already got pictures of us all over the internet and on newspapers. And every post, report, and article or whatever we've been in, it's been nothing but bad reviews." Essence broke

"How bad?" Even asked

"Bad... check your socials, the number one # thing is '#CancelAllSupers'." She sat down in disappointment

"Wow... I honestly never thought people disliked us that much. Oh well?" Mila said

"No, oh well! If we ever step foot in public do you know how many people will be up our butts! Those female dogs!" Essence said, in a... very weird rage

The group paused in confusion

"Female dog? A b*tch? You can swear you know, we're fine with it." Gudao said to Essence

"No Im good."

"Uh, you sure?"

"Mhm... anyway- anyways! I say we wait until this trend dies out, then we be regulars!"

"That's a problem. We have no choice but to go back out. We have to save the city someway." Yesenia shrugged

"It's also my birthday!  And you guys promised a pizza and a giant cookie pizza." Even frowned

"We'll figure it out at some point.  No matter what you're getting those pizzas." Dom smiled

"Wait you guys do remember I can change peoples opinions on us correct." Chase said randomly

"Does it work on that many people?" Yin asked

"Maybe, I've never tried before, but hey if you don't try you don't have an outcome." Chase smirked

"I'm just going to be honest, I don't trust you with any of this. I have a feeling you might mess this up." Cher said

Chase waved a hand in a motion

"What about now?" He asked

"I trust you 100% with this Chase!" Cher said in an unusually cheery way

"Alright let's try it." Kanati sighed

Setting: The Roof
Time: 11:40 am

"Alright Chase whenever you're ready?" KC sighed

Chase was practically hooked up to this monitor, with this monitor the group was able to connect it and send it out to (most) of the world.

"I'll remind you, this'll only work for a couple hours." Chase said

"OF COURSE CHASE!" Cher said, currently under his opinion change 'spell'

"Yeah enjoy that for a couple hours... alright I'm starting."

Chase closed his eyes tight and focused his energy to his mind. The group waited a couple minutes before finding a signal go off. They connected it and had Chase push for a while longer just to get the message out there.

"Alright, you're good.  Let's see the results in a couple minutes." Yesenia smiled

"Cool." Chase said

"Did it work?!" Essence asked

"Not really, the whole cancel all supers thing is still trending..." KC mumbled

"Ugh, I knew this wasn't gonna work!" Essence dramatically slid to the ground

"Hey, at least I tried it.  Come on, I was thinking about an arcade we could go to.  It's a buddies place up in Brooklyn, he'll help us out." Chase suggested

"YESSS!" Even cheered

The group agreed, until they heard a knock on the door.

"NYC MOVERS! OPEN UP!" A man banged on the door

"I'll get it." Even ran to the door and opened it

"How long will it take you to unpack all your stuff?" Chase asked

"Im not sure." Cordelia stared blankly at Chase

In those few moments, the workers brought in a new bed and other room equipment.  The stuff was brought into Yesenia and Essence's bedroom.  This meant a new hero was on the way.

Meet Cordelia, they're definitely a person who knows the most about the sea and animals that live in it. Quite odd some people might also describe them as quiet and a loner.  Usually getting out of conversations by glaring at people, or giving short answers.

"Why?" They asked

"Uh, we all have plans tonight.  And you're apart of the team so you're invited I guess?" Chase shrugged

"Hm." Cordelia nodded

"Is that a yes?"

"Mhm." Cordelia nodded once again

Setting: The Arcade
Time: 7pm

"This place is...AMAZING! THANK YOU FOR TAKING ME HERE!" Even smiled running around like a kid in a candy store

The group had arrived at this... sketchy... looking arcade. There were many classic and new games, and a drink bar (With adult beverages off limits of course what kind of author do you think I am... don't answer that-). They had stopped at the store to buy a cookie pizza just for Even as well.

Friendly competitions rise as everyone groups up with friends to hang out and play games.  After a giant loss, this was something that the group needed, a place to be away from the hate.  The group met up one last time to sing Even a happy birthday, when Chase's "buddy" pulled him aside.

"Happy birthday dear-"

"Hey Chase, can I speak to ya?" He walked in from a side door, he looked all menacing

"Yeah sure man!" They stepped into a hallway

"So I've heard about some... things.  And honestly you're gonna have to pay a price to get you out of this." He stepped forward

"What?  Bro you told us this was free."

"I don't want no supers that aren't well liked in my establishment.  You either pay or I'll get rid of you one by one."

"Look man I don't know why you're starting this sh*t,  we just wanted a night out to get away from the chaos and now you're against us?  I thought you had my back."

"Oh I do, if you pay me $50000."

"No."

"Well then... get em guys."

"What?" Chase was grabbed by some random people and brought into a cell room, hearing the screams of his team being taken along with him

The whole team was locked up, would they escape?
