Hello Hermittpad, and welcome back to another weekly recap :D! We've got some exciting news to start off- we're going to make an event book! Basically, it's a book where we're going to host events for y'all to participate in, and insert intense drum roll, you guys can host events through us too! Whether you want to get more traction, or want to get more involved with Hermittpad- simply DM us if you want to host events with us! (Anyone can :D!)

Now, onto the books of this week's recap!

To start us off, we have a new book coming soon by Hermitdere32, The Paper Roses. It is centered around Grian's relationship with Taurtis and the Evo SMP lore that surrounds Taurtis' summoning into the world. There is a hint of angst in the plot points the author gives in their note (which is currently the only chapter), with Grian trying time and time again to bring his beloved friend back to him through the same (only slightly altered) ritual! It definitely sounds interesting :)

We also welcome echo_star__'s first work, The Wings I Was Forced To Have into the recap! This story follows a minecrafter who has run away from their mysterious past and found familiar land that they thought they'd never see again. Even if it is familiar, though, they don't know if it's blissful reality or a mischievous trap.

Coltssfoot has published their new work, Horizon, which is an Empires and Hermitcraft crossover! In this new sequel, there's some mysterious new groups, and an unknown new person :eyes:. This new person has been up to some shenanigans, and it seems their overconfidence could lead to a mistake :0? Let's hope that they've done the right thing!

The prologue of Watchful [The Watcherless Land Rewrite] by GalaxyWr1tesSh1z is now out! Two years ago Ranboo disappeared and showed up in the Dream SMP with almost no memory of who he is and how he got there. Now, Grian has decided to take the matter into his own hands and go out to find his missing sibling.

RearturningToChrist has brought us their new story Jellie's Return Home | A Hermitcraft Shortfic!, in which Jellie is traveling back home to Scar with a very familiar guide. We also have a sweet moment where the two finally reunite back in Hermitcraft

Hermitcraft and Rick Riordan fans alike will have themselves drooling over IndigoSilver08's Camp Hermit-Blood - The Sea of Monsters. A spellbinding book where Percy Jackson and Bdubs collide in a battle of good versus evil, we're left wondering whether good will ever prevail... and why on earth the balance is hanging on sheep. Guess you'll have to keep on reading to find out...

AriaGuardian has released the 6th chapter of their book, Evolution in Time, featuring the new time portal and the potential of Xisuma soon bumping into his twin brother! Or should I say Xenrus? Also, Xisuma's bro may or may not have had a tracking device put on him -and now he's panicking because Xisuma has gone off the radar.

XeraTheWatcher is back with the 7th chapter of their book Entwining Lives - A Hermitcraft & The life series crossover. Pearl and Grian now have to think about how they have to deal with the alternatives, all while still keeping their past a secret from the other hermits.

XandeaTheWatcher has updated Vexed Hearts || A Hermitcraft AU, featuring crown prince (and frequent run-away) Scar spending time with Vali, his twin, by playing with flashcards! Through them, they meet the rulers of the surrounding kingdoms -at least those who are on the guest list for the coronation. It's a good time before Scar zones out in the middle of the 'history lesson'! -and I honestly can't blame him.

SparklingWonderQueen brings the next part of A Change In The Horizon || The Lost One AU, in which Xelqua (Grian) decides to take Miselli on a faster route to finish their traveling faster... through the beloved Nether!

The first chapter of A life long lived ~ Hermitcraft God!Grian AU, written by Altas313, was also posted this week. We meet an old sun god, named Sunniva, who was thrown out of his reality after trying to ask for a break, who now lives with the Hermits under a new name, Grian. Where will his story continue in this new life? Only one way to find out :)

Through Lizzie's point of view, AlyssaZMainPlayz begins the next chapter of Fake: A Grian YHS Fanfic! Lizzie is irked by what she learns about Grian's high school but now that she knows who the target is, her and Grian's plan can be set in motion!

Returning with a banishment ritual,  has updated A Bunny and a Bird~, their YHS & Hermitcraft Crossover! It is high time Sam was banned from Hermitcraft and left to rot in the Void Prison. The endeavors of imprisoning the rabbid rabbit-man go as planned. However, we have some collateral damage in the form of Grian accidentally following suit... Will he manage to make it back home safe and sound?

kcaffrey23 has updated The Villain and Hero. Immediately, we see Bdubs running away from a villain, Doc, who Bdubs swears their relationship is strictly professional! No feelings involved, none at all. However, Doc chases after Bdubs in an attempt to persuade him to join forces and rid the city of another villain, Canem.

Sadly, That_One_Girl_LOL is discontinuing their Hermitcraft Oneshots book. It's been a good run, mate, see you on your other works!

With all that covered, we can move on to the announcements and milestones of this week :)

birdsforbreakfast is starting a Halloween Hermits event! Each week this October there will be a new themed writing prompt, and the chapter with info for the first week has already been posted, so be sure to check it out!
