A follow-up on Bella and Skylar's parent's appearance in Night to remember.

Also mentions chapters from the first one-shot book. Pretty much what happens is the girls visit their parents after many years. It doesn't go well. They are overcritical of Bella (Like Victoria's parents in Corpse Bride) and neglectful to Skylar.

I know parental abuse can go so much further than what is written here. I tried but I also didn't want to upset anyone as well.

Her mother had pressed a note into her hand. She, of course, dismissed it at first but for some reason kept hold of it slipping the note into her purse. Something about the encounter just seemed to stick with her. The note was simple, a date, time, and location.

Luna café that they met Dream in when George had hidden away on Hermitcraft for two months. (There are chapters on those in the first one-shot book the heatwaves chapters)

After the party, she quickly told Sky what had happened. For most of the day, they disregarded the entire thing completely. After their last encounter, they never wanted to see them again. In the end, they wanted to hear them out so Bella sent a message confirming the meeting. They would both bring their boyfriends mostly as a jab at their parents.

That had all been a week ago and today was the meeting. It was one of those things that everything tells you not to do but you do it anyway. Soon enough there they were, sitting inside the café with their partner facing their parents.

Their mother raised a thin black eyebrow. "Do you ladies mind telling us who these men are?"

"Mother, father, these are our boyfriends Etho and Skylar's boyfriend Xanthus. But why are we here?"

"We just wanted to see if we could be in your lives," Her father says looking down at her from the end of his nose.

Skylar rolled her eyes. "How so, a Christmas card or something?"

The corner of both their mouths tilted down. Their mother spoke up with a mean glare. No wonder the girls were such wild rebels with parents like this. "We care you know,"

Bella pinched the bridge of her nose. "You don't. All you wanted was the perfect girl who obeyed you,"

Her father played loving father for half a second. "We just wanted the best for you,"

"Sure," Bella replies sarcastically.

Etho was observing the situation. "If I may, and I'm not asking for permission. This is coming from someone whose mother never really cared for them. It seems that your idea of love is controlling her,"

Her mother glared at him with a smirk full of poison. "You know nothing boy,"

Her glare didn't make him afraid it made him mad. "I know abuse when I see it, and you're one step away from it,"

Of course, that was proven wrong as they proceeded to step right over the line.

"Now Bella I want you to call every day, I'll send you a meal plan for the week and we'll be good as we used to. Now Skylar I know our last encounter did not go well but I hope we can become close again,"

Both girls glanced at each other. Etho stared incredulously.

"Well there goes my previous statement, you both are terrible mentally and emotionally abusive parents who should have never been parents," Etho hissed as he leaned over the table.

"How dare you speak that way young man," Their father growled.

Etho stared him directly in the eyes. "More than you will ever know.

Bella glanced at Skylar who nodded. "Here's what's going to happen, we will leave this table and never speak again. The next time we see you is the funeral."

"All you ever did was not give a shit about me, don't start now," Skylar adds as they stand up. Ex who had been silent the whole time finally spoke up.

He glared at them from under the helmet, "If it was up to me you'd be six feet under,"

"We're leaving, don't forget to call us," Their mother promptly sneered.
