Xisuma and I stared at each other there were still so many holes. There were also so many questions we had left. The first order of business is a council meeting to discuss the next steps.

"The question is, how do we go after the lab?" X asks, looking at them.

"How do you want to go after the lab?" Grian asks.

I wanted to facepalm. "That's why we're here because we don't know. Additionally, we need council approval.

Jera writes something down before asking something. "Well this ice compass, it's just going to take us the right to it?"

"According to Celeste, yes," I confirm.

"And you can confirm she wasn't lying?" Techno asks.

"Yes," X answers, nodding. "We used our powers,"

"And you couldn't just look inside her mind for answers?" Bdubs asks.

Scar rolls his eyes, clearly feeling sassy today. "If they are at least an 8th of Vex like myself, mind tricks don't work,"

"Sheesh," Bdubs said, poking Scar in his side.

"He's right, and we did try before interrogating her," I add, nodding.

"Well, I stand corrected," Bdubs says shrugging.

"Moving on," Dream interrupted. "You are just going to storm in there and take down the lab?"

"Well, we want to take a squad, and we want to reunite the prisoners with their families," X explains.

"Alright, what about the Vex?" False asks.

"Well, Celeste told us none of the Vex want to do what they do, and King Titus is keeping them in fear. We want to free them," I told them and some wrote that down.

The dream then spoke up "Ok, and what about King Titus?"

"Apprehend him just like Zander," I answered.

"But we don't know where to find King Titus," Xisuma adds.

"Alright, any idea on how to find him?"

"Actually, yes?" I exclaimed. "There's got to be a package in the lab that has the palace address,"

"That's smart!" Mumbo nods.

"But then we are just waging war on the Vex?" Etho asks.

"The Vex is not a big community," Scar tells him. "There's truly only a little more than 3,000 Vex, and that's from when I was still a part of the community, 8 years ago. I left because of the disease that was spreading at the time, there could be more, there could be less,"

"Additionally, they aren't that powerful magic-wise, but they do have good mind tricks. That's why it's hard to lie to Scar," X adds to Scar's statement.

"Here is an idea, after the lab is taken down and you have a location on the palace tier dos with join you guys and your squad to take down the rest and give freedom to the Vex," Jera offers.

"I can agree to that," I answer. X nods and the proposal is signed.

Today is the day of the attack. Because this operation is run through the facility no hermits or council members can join us much to their dismay.

Everyone is dressed in white to blend in with the facility walls. With an ice compass made we are well on our way.

The facility itself is not at all that big, It's about the size of a high school. But it's magically floating about 60 blocks above border height. Celeste had agreed to give us further information later that day. She told us there are 12 military officers, which includes her team. That leaves 8 that are there.

There are also about 30 scientists, as well as an unknown number of prisoners. The majority of the space is used to hold prisoners. There is a mailroom that should have the location of the palace.

X and I landed on the roof before teleporting our squad of ten. The building was made of white concrete, and when we made a hole in the roof, the floor was made of quartz. Not very creative in my opinion. I stuck my head in and didn't see anyone. but there was a camera at the end of what turned out to be a hallway. The camera seemed to move slowly and was turned away.

We silently dropped in as the camera turned away, and X shot magic and the camera turned off. The hallway had a directory sign, to the left; prison cells. To the right; security room. We decided to go to the security room first. There was a camera at the other end of the hallway as well as a door to the security room.

A pale man was sitting at the screens watching the footage. Although at the moment it seemed like he was trying to get the cameras we turned off to turn on again. One of our team members turned the handle to enter the room. We all winced as it whined while opening.

The guard's head snapped to us. I shot a burst of magic tying him to his chair and knocking him out.

"Now why didn't we just do that in the first place?" Amanda one of the squad members asked.

I smiled, I liked that they were open with us. "I needed a clear shot without any walls in the way,"

"Ok, fair," She shrugged.

We disabled the radios while in there before continuing on our way.

The hall adjacent to the security room had two branch hallways, both with prisoners.

We continued past the prisoners, trying to find the scientists.

I heard talking down the hallway and alerted the rest of the team. Amanda peaked her head around the wall to see what was going on. She tells us there are two scientists and they are facing a screen that has numbers all over the screen. Warren runs up and within a few seconds, they are tired of each other, sitting on the floor.

Soon enough the lab is taken care of and we have moved everyone to a central location, we leave six of our squad to look over them. The rest of us go to unlock prisoners. We split up into teams of two. X and Warren, myself and Kila, lastly Amanda and Quin.

Each cell was simple, reinforced glass with a white bed. In each upper corner of the cell, there was a camera and a power dampener. Some of the cells had books, others had a TV, but none of them had a clock.

The first cell holds a woman my age, leather wings are attached to her back. She looks up and scoots away from us. There's no door so I shot a blast of magic at the glass shattering it. I then took an arrow and shot it at the power dampener.

I hid my weapons and slowly approached the girl. She wore a grey jumpsuit with a number on it.

"Hi," I whisper.

She waves shyly. That's understandable.

"Can you tell me your name?" I ask.

She tries to talk but nothing comes out. She points to a scar on her throat. My eyes widen in recognition. They took her ability to talk.

"Do you know how to write?" I ask.

She nods pointing to a pen and paper on a table. I bring the paper and pen to her.

"Can you write your name?" I ask. While she does that, I turn to see the others working with other prisoners to get them to rust us. I know this is going to be a long, long day.

I turn back to see the paper have her name written on it. 'Fiona, but they call me subject 45'

"Well, I'm going to call you Fiona," I state and stand up. "Can you trust me?"

She nods. I hold out my hand and she takes it, standing up. "I'm going to get you out of here,"

"Do you know how to use your wings?"

She nods, flapping them.

"Alright, follow me,"

I head to the next cell, doing the same. This one can talk. They're a shifter, they can shift into a raven and they perch right onto Fiona's shoulder.

The next one is blind, but they have heightened senses in everything else. Additionally, his twin sister is in another hall.

Soon enough we get through the hallway, ending with about 35 prisoners, all trusting us, enough for us to guide them.

We meet up with X, who has about 46 prisoners. He has the blind man's sister, who is mute like Fiona. There was only one hallway left, hopefully with Cub's parents. Given that they aren't dead. After that we will take any files from the file room and send them to the Admin Facility. After that, time to storm the castle.

The last hallway was the biggest, holding was seemed to be hundreds of cells. X and Bella shared a look, mainly disgust, but also fear.

Venturing in the soon started opening cells, these seemed older. The white walls and floors were stained with blood on some walls, though not all the blood was red. Some of it was yellow, sone of it was blue, but yes the most of it was red.

Cells without blood had scratches deep into the glass and walls.

Most of the prisoners were grateful to be free, though some did think this was a trap. That denfinity made them wonder how long some of them had been here.

About a third of the way down they saw two that seemed to be in their mid 50's. THey were in a cell together, something they found uncommon.

Is this them? X asks telepathiclly.

Maybe she sends back.

They get the scared couple out of the cell and coax them to join the rest, which are sitting in the cafeteria they found just a bit ago.

The end of the hall is the dirtiest, dried puke and feces joins the mix of the disgusting things they see. These are also the oldest, and possibly the weakest. It didn't matter if this was against the scienists will, they would have to serve time.

"It looks like there are about 250 to 300 of you, that means it's going to take a lot of time to get you guys to the hub," X explains. "To make this easy we have made a portal that will take you straight there,"

I point to to the portal on the east side of the room.

I took over explaining. "One by one please step into the portal, if you crowd there could be a glitch, we don't know what will happen to you after that. Once everyone is though everyone will be taken to the hospital. Shortly after that, we will preform genetic tests and see if any of your reletives are advailible,"

Once everyone was settled in the hospital some calls needed to be made. First, our trip to the castle would be delayed until we knew everyone would be made. Second, we needed to tell the council the trip was sucessful and we now have an additional 38 new prisoners.

I dialed in Etho's number.

"Hey," Etho says picking it up. "How did it go,"

"It was sucessful, no one is hurt," I tell him and I know he's smiling.

"That's good, and what about Cub's parents?"

"We don't know, we will soon though,"

"That's good,"

"I've got to go, love you,"

"Love you too!"

The primes waited for genetic test restults for a certain two. Shortly a nurse walked up to them.

They took a look at the papers smiling at the results. 'Mr. and Mrs. Warren,"

"You read it," X told her.

"It's positive," She said softly disblieving her eyes.

"Really?"

"Yeah,"

Xisuma stood up. "Let's go tell them,"
