Prank Gone Wrong

Cleo decides to prank some HermitCraft members. It goes very wrong.

And no, respawn isn't a thing here

Cleo snickered evilly, as she set the anvil up. Her plan? She was to act like an anvil had fallen on top of her, killing her instantly. Since she had no pulse, and could also hold her breathe for insane times, she could hold up the appearance of being dead.

Her first victim was Stress.

She pulled out her phone and PMed Stress.

~~~
ZombieCleo: Hey, Stress, can you come over to my base? I need some help with some things :)
StressMonster101: Sure love! Will be there soon! Stay safe!
~~~

Stress walked onto Cleo's ship, admiring the kraken her friend had been working on for ages. "Cleo? Where are ya?" (AN: Stress' accent is fun to write)
When she got no reply, Stress sighed. "She calls me ovah, and she doesn't even reply!" The brown haired girl walked around her friend's base for what felt like ages, but what was probably only a few minutes.

She came to a door that was partly opened. "Cleo?" Stress gently pushed open the door.

"Cleo, are you in- Oh my GOSH!"

Cleo's lifeless body lay next to an anvil, blood staining her clothes and hair.

"Oh my gosh... Cleo!" Stress ran towards her friend, kneeling next to her. Stress was shaking slightly. "Oh... no..."

Her shaking stopped as she heard a small giggle. "...Cleo? Is this a prank?"

The zombie sat up, in peals of laughter. "I'm sorry, I couldn't do it anymore!" She said between breathes. Stress put a hand on her chest, and pretended to be angry.

"Cleo! How dare you pull such a nasty prank on me! You had me worried sick, you silly fing!"

"I'm sorry Stress! I had to!" Cleo was still giggling. "I'm gonna try it out on other Hermits. Thanks for not murdering me."

"Not a problem. Have fun with yer pranks! If ya get into trouble, I'm not helping." Stress laughed, before flying off with her elytra.

~~~
Mumbo sighed. Cleo had sent him a message saying she needed help with some redstone, but he couldn't seem to find the zombie anywhere. "Cleo? If your hiding, this isn't funny..." Mumbo swore he felt his heart speed up. 'Now is not the time for an anxiety attack...'
The redstoner sighed yet again. Where was she? "Cleo...?" He opened a door into the ships hull.
He froze.
Cleo lay in the exact same position as she did when Stress was here. The 'blood' was in the exact same place as before. Cleo was trying her hardest not to grin, and waited. She was perfectly fine.
Mumbo, however, didn't know that.
The redstoner felt his eyes go blurry, the blood making him freak out even more. "C-Cleo?!" He choked out. His whole body felt shaky as he fell onto his knees, tears rolling down his face as his anxiety kicked in.
'If you were a bit earlier, you could have saved her.'
'It's your fault she's dead.'
'You could have stopped this.'
'Your to blame.'
Mumbo let out a sob.
Cleo's eyes widened slightly, as she realised Now was the time to stop the prank.
"Mumbo! Hey, look! I'm okay! See?" She popped up, smiling worriedly.
Mumbo screamed.
The tears kept coming as Mumbo tried to calm down.
~~~

Grian and Iskall were flying above head. They were talking about Sahara.

"What do you mean I can't touch the redstone?!"

"Grian, you know why-"

They heard the scream of their fellow Architech.

Grian wasted no time, instantly diving down to where the scream sounded from, Iskall following.

By the time the swede made it inside, Grian was cradling Mumbo, who was sobbing into his shoulder. Cleo watched, with a sorrowful expression.

"Mind explaining what happened?" Iskall walked over to Cleo, helping her up. As the zombie explained, Grian and Iskall slowly got more frustrated. "Why would you do that to him?"

"Wha-"

"He's just a kid, Cleo, he can't take the jokes to the same degree you can." Iskall agreed with his Architech friend. "It's like when we argue, he doesn't understand because he's not as... well... how do I say this... rowdy? As us."

Cleo sighed. "I didn't think he would take it this seriously."

Iskall sighed as well, but smiled. "Well, now you know."

"You know about his anxiety, though. Why'd you put him through it?" Grian looked up at Cleo.

Silence.

"No reply, huh? I'll ask you again." He blinked, expression turning furious. "Why. Did. You. Do. It." He snapped.

"Grian..." Iskall pleaded. "She didn't mean to. Plus, Mumbo will forgive her."

Grian growled slightly, before sighing. "Sorry, Cleo... I just want the best for him, y'know? He's kinda like... uh..." Grian adjusted Mumbo, who had cried himself to sleep some time ago.

"A brother from another mother, right?"

Grian looked up, alarmed. "How did you...?"

"I have the same relationship with Zloy." Cleo grinned, Her green eyes reflecting playfully.

"Well... just be careful with your pranks from now on, okay?" Iskall walked over, picking up the shorter Architech from Grian's lap, being careful not to wake him. Mumbo let out a small purring sound as he snuggled his head into Iskall's neck.

"I'll apologise when he wakes up. Oh, and don't worry about the blood. It's ketchup." Cleo licked a part of ketchup that was next to her lips.

The Architechs bid her farewell, and Cleo was left to clean up the mess.

...And all the ketchup had dried up a while ago so now it was stuck to her floor.

Just what she needed.
