Chapter 8
Black, black, black, black.
That was all that I could think of.
Black, black, endless black.
Something was wrong, the alarms wouldn't stop ringing.
The ebb and flow of black just pulled and yanked as I tried to move.
The alarms wouldn't stop. They wouldn't stop, they wouldn't stop.
My movements, my attempts were slowed by the pull of the black, the numbing black.
The alarms wouldn't stop, why won't they stop?
I tried to fight the ebb and flow of the black sea, the once soft lullaby was now loud and harsh.
It hurts, it hurts. Why won't it stop?
Staying calm was the last thing on my mind.
Was there anything on my mind to begin with?
Make it stop, make it stop, someone please make it stop.
The waves sucked me down miles deeper every time I got even a centimeter closer to the surface of the sea of black.
Black, black, black, black.
Why is everything so black?
My mind was muddled. I couldn't think straight, if at all.
Every toss and turn of the waves made it harder, made it harder to move, and made it harder to think.
It was just black, black, black and I couldn't escape as it pulled me deeper and deeper until the alarms couldn't reach me under the harsh waves of black.
.
.
.
All I could do was drown.
