Applejack's POV

"Applejack?"

Rarity paused her tracks, and looked back at me, waiting for an answer because I stopped her from leaving by grabbing her wrist. She gave me a confused facial expression as I brought up my notepad and wrote on it.

I quickly passed it to Rarity, trying to not waste her time. The note said; "You are going home right? Well, can I join you?"

"You want to walk with me to home?" Rarity asked, making sure if she read and understood me rightly as I nodded.

"O-Oh, of course! Sure, grab your stuff and come!" She said, excitedly pitching her voice a little higher. That made me half relieved, and I smiled to her reaction. I gathered my things.

I'm glad that she was fine about me joining her to walk home together.

While I was getting my stuff, Rarity was saying goodbye to her friends. I did the same, and waved at some of my best friends: Twilight, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash.

Rarity stood nearby the exit waiting for me, once I approached closer to her, she said, "Ready, darling?"

I nodded, smiling as she giggled, walking by my side.

I am accompanied walking to home by Rarity together, also with a huge awkward silence between us since then. None of us has written or said a word.

"Um so.. Applejack, what is your home address?" Rarity asked, breaking the silence. I wrote and passed her a note that tells my address.

"Oh my goodness, darling!!! It's so close to me.. we live on the same street, the Crystal Walk street!! We are practically like a few minutes apart!! That means we can talk more everyday! I'll even make sure to come over tons of times!!" Rarity began to speak too fast, getting excited about the ideas rooting in her brain. She already started to devise a makeover plan for me.

I raised an eyebrow up to the fact Rarity is already making plans and speaking too fast.

Rarity sighed, saying, "I am very sorry, darling. I haven't really had company or friends for a while ever since I moved here, and I would like to go out with you..." She said, pouting.

I became flabbergasted when she said that, so I silently stared at her. 'Huh?! Go out? That sounded SO wrong like surely, that's not what she meant?'

"Oh no! That certainly came out wrong..." She said, becoming embarrassed.

"Applejack, I meant a-as friends, heh.." She said, chuckling awkwardly.

'Oh.. Careful, Rarity.'

I passed her another note that said; "It is okay, and that sounds good. :)' While reading this note, she smiled sweetly in response, and gaw, she looks so cute.

From that, I freaked out with so many overwhelmed thoughts running in my mind. What in the tarnation was I thinking?!

As my thoughts continued to run in a swirl, Rarity interrupted my train of thoughts.

"Applejack?" She sternly said. I stared at her, as an expression of "Yeah?" hearing her out. She took her time staring at my eyes as I confusedly stared back.

"Are.... you blushing?" She said, pointing out to my blushing cheek with her index finger.

I got so surprised and didn't even realize that I was blushing, so I speedily covered my face with my hat to block Rarity from seeing my blush any longer.

"Tee hee!! Haha!" Rarity laughed loudly, and cried at the same time. It was tears of laughter. She also clapped from it and kept going at it until I pushed her playfully and put my hat back on.

I jokingly rolled my eyes with a quiet chuckle. I grabbed the notepad from my pocket, and wrote on the note quickly with Rarity lightly peeking in.

"Quit it, Rarity, haha! Laughing time is over, nothing's funny. >:(" I said on the note that I shoved up to her reading it.

"Pfft, darling. Never, and you are funny!" Rarity said with a joyful devil look written on her face.

She continued to laugh, as I gave her serious facial expressions, and we also teased each other.

Right when we get closer to Rarity's house, I was feeling really sad because I didn't want to...... go home....... not yet.. Things were getting fun and good.

"Well, this is my home where I reside.. So, I will see you tomorrow, darling!!" Rarity said, happily waving without a doubt in mind. I lopsidedly smiled, hiding how I felt as I waved back.

'It's a school night anyways, I still have to accept it. I'm embarrassed to ask, so yeah..'

I was just getting ready to head to my house, but instead I felt something weighted on me from behind.

I looked back, and it was Rarity. She hugged me from the behind. What she just did caused me to become shocked.

Her arms were so warm, it hugged around me, cuddling me at once, so perfectly. And man, I kind of love it.. It felt so warm and really touching like Rarity was trying to keep me content and reassuring me from my heavy worries and burdens.

"..Don't give me that long sad look, Applejack. I want you to be happy for me? Please?" She said, pouting as her eyes shined from the sunset shimming on her eyes. The sunset was reflecting on her luminous eyes, and she looked so beautiful as I smiled.

For some reason, I can't resist her at all.

I exhaled a deep breath, took out the notepad from my pocket again to write on it, and then I passed it to Rarity.

The note said; "Can I please stay with you just for today? I don't feel like going to home right now. I need somebody, and I want to be with you."

I thought she would say no to that but she agreed to it.

"Anytime, Applejack. After all, you are my best friend!! That's fine, you can be with me. I did say you could talk to me whenever."

I was so agape by what she just said. Best friends? Really? When did we become bffs? It was suddenly fast but I liked it.

She said we are best friends, but I feel like it's something more than that. I don't know what this feeling exactly is.......

'I had never felt like this way before Rarity came into my life...... '

Rarity still hadn't let go of my back. To be honest with ya, I wanted to feel like this a little bit longer because she's so cozy and I like it but she lets go in the end.

"E-Eh, I am so sorry, my darling.." Rarity mumbled, blushing, but it was loud enough for me to hear.

'Cute.' She was twirling her hair with her fingers, playing with her curls.

I passed a note to her; "No, it is really okay. It does not bother me anyways."

She smiled in relief shortly, then we had a little bicker still outside about some little things, it was nothing.

Her angry look was super cute though, seeing that look pleased me a lot.

Rarity giggled as dark scarlet blushes were seen on her face. I thought it was so cute so I accidentally put my hand on her cheek without thinking. When I came to the realization, I removed my hand from her so quickly. Rarity looked at me, baffled. She was confused, probably thinking why I just did that to her.

I wrote and passed the note so quickly; "I'm sorry, I do things without thinking sometimes."

"I-It's okay...." She chuckled awkwardly. Momentarily, Rarity rubbed the same cheek as she moved her curls over which now covers her cheek.

I became embarrassed, since her action influenced me to blush. Feeling shy, I scratched on my head and looked over at somewhere else. Rarity was just tilting her head down, still blushing.

"So Applejack, let's finally go inside, come on!" She said as I nodded.

I went inside and got to witness the house, it looked so fancy. It is true about what Rarity said before. She has a daily job, there's various dresses on the mannequins and a lot of stuff.

It's huge! The scent here smells like vanilla. The whole house smelled really good like Rarity, hmm. I think this is a scent that's going to be hard to forget.

"I love this scent, Applejack. It's my all time favorite. It smells good right?" Rarity smiled as she looked around at her house with me.

"It sure smells like you." I wrote a note and passed it to her.

"Yeah, it does, duh! Thanks to this lovely house and the scents!" Rarity replied as she giggled. I let out a small chuckle. 'Can't disagree with that.'

"Come along, let's go upstairs, Applejack." She also said, grasping my hand with hers, dragging me to upstairs. I followed her pace as she brought me to her room.

Her room walls were painted purple and there's a couple of posters that were titled, "Dream Big!", "Don't be like the rest of them, darling," lots of quotes, and girly stuff.

I scanned the other areas in her room, they were all interesting parts of Rarity's personality and lifestyle.

"So Applejack, what now?" Rarity asked. I nervously shrugged because I was unsure.

Rarity's POV

I had no clue what to do here, badly.. My house is so unusually boring. Why did I have to go to my house instead of Applejack's house? It would've been different but never mind that now.

We sat on my bed. "Applejack, can you do me a favor?" She nodded.

"Anything on what I said, will you promise?"

Applejack got her notepad, wrote down, and passed me the note; "Depends."

"Well, okay so..... Applejack.." I started, slowly. She motioned as a "yeah?"

"Please, can you, just this once.... speak with your voice?" I requested.

Her eyes broadly widened, instantly shaking her head.

"Pleeeeease?" I begged her again, pouting.

Applejack kept shaking her head, closing her eyes, avoiding me.

"Pleaseee, pleaseeee?" I pleaded her with my special convincing puppy eyes, hoping it'll work.

I have used it on people, especially my family to let me go out on those times when I was grounded or not allowed to.

Applejack opened her eyes a little, and she looked at me, falling under my puppy eyes trap, heh!

She groaned and passed me a note; "Fine, just this once...."

I merrily screamed, "YESSS!!!" while standing up as Applejack stared at me, raising an eyebrow up as a expression of "Really?" Feeling a little stupid, I sat back on the bed.

*ahems*

"The reason for this is because I want to hear you and know what you sound like. You only talk to your close friends, and I want to be one of them to you." I said as she had a blank look, processing this.

"I know your voice will be amazingly beautiful, AJ." I said, smiling, but also not forgetting to mention, "If you don't want to use your voice then you don't have to, darling."

Applejack let out a small gasp, blushing as I giggled.

"No, Rarity. It's okay. I'll do it for you." Applejack nodded.

Silence...

"H-hiya, R-Rarity.." She said with a beauteous southern accent. 'She must sound like that since she is a farmer cowgirl.'

I was so surprised and jolly that she spoke with her voice. Her voice was fine, she doesn't even need to hide it...... Maybe, she had a reason for that...

"Hello, Applejack." I replied, smiling happily.

We gazed at each other deeply and looked away with blushes and embarrassment.

"Applejack, your voice is fabulous." I blurted out, trying to reduce my embarrassment but she blushed harder.

Oh Celestia, what have I done?

"So yeah, this is how I talk..." Applejack spoke, folding her arms as she turned her head to me.

I nodded and smiled. "Nice job, Applejack! I knew you could do it!" I said.

"Will you do something else for me?" I asked, and she nodded.

"Speak like that at school." I asked. Applejack's eyes widened up again.

"No way! I don't wanna! Ain't gonna do that, just nope." She said, disagreeing and shaking her head.

Applejack turned her head into a different direction so I couldn't see her face anymore.

"Applejack." I said, as she kept her head in the same direction, and ignored me.

"Applejack... Look at me.." I said in a serious tone, as I put my hands on her chin to move it to my direction. Our eyes were directly staring in each other's.

"Do you trust me?" I asked, serious.

"I-I guess.. I don't know. I mean, we only know each other for like a few days so........" She said.

"True.. Just listen to me and do it please. Just for a day?" I said with my convincing puppy eyes, and Applejack fell under my trap again.

"Fine! Fine!! Stop doing that face first, geez.." She said, blushing as she looked away.

"Yes!!!" I whispered quietly to myself and she chuckled.

"Only because ya are being so darn cute.." Applejack mumbled, still looking away.

"Huh?" I asked, confused because I didn't quite catch what she just said.

"Nothing! Uh— I said nothing!" She instantly chimed, blushing.

I can tell that Applejack was lying. She was a horrible liar, but I let it slide. I don't want her to think I'm too buggy.

During a long time of silence, somehow throughout, Applejack laughed.

"Oh wow, Applejack, your laugh is super cute!" I complimented. She blushed and lowered her head a little bit.

"Thanks, Rarity." Applejack said, smiling.

Applejack looked over at my diamond-shaped clock sticked on the wall. It is currently eight o'clock.

"Oh, shit! I gotta go home now... See ya at school tomorrow, Rarity." She said as she stood up quickly.

I nodded and walked Applejack down to my front doorstep. I gave her a long comfortable hug.

"Bye, Applejacky!" I joked with her by sticking my tongue out.

Chuckling, "Bye, sugarcube!" Applejack said, flashing a toothy grin and waved goodbye as she left my sight.

'Sugarcube? That must be what she calls people, well it's adorably cute. I can't believe I got her to speak... I'm glad we could talk to each other like that..'
