Kayal's POV...

Karthik dropped me off at the bakery around eleven forty-five. Fortunately, he had the spare key for Ryan's flat. Otherwise, I didn't know what would have happened to us. It was so embarrassing for me to look at Karthik's face directly after what happened this morning.

Today I entered the bakery using the backside door. Because it's not cool to enter from the main door while customers are still there. Once I changed into the uniform I exited for the kitchen and there I saw Ruhi was collecting her orders. Once she saw me her face got brightened and shrieked "Akka....".

Poor Anne was startled by the sudden high-pitched voice and missed the holding of her pan. She scowled at Ruhi and Ruhi showed her baby face to escape from her scolding.

Anne turned towards me and said, " I don't know why, this mental girl gets excited whenever she sees you" I did not miss the hint of irritation in her expression. Instantly Ruhi's face got pale listening to the phrase of ' mental girl'.

Anne was a nice person but I did not know why she held some grudge against Ruhi. Always she used to say odd words to hurt Ruhi like judging her behaviour. We all knew that she was younger than us and a little childish but it was never harmful. Numerous times we had tried to explain this matter to Anne but she was not ready to understand it. Sometimes I couldn't understand the people's mindset.

"Just chill Anne. You know nah still our Ruhi is baby. Don't get tension and increase your BP." I said smiling to divert the situation of the room. " You know what? You all have ruined her giving more freedom " Anne said frustratingly, shaking her head and returning to her work.

I immediately went near to Ruhi and helped her to collect the orders and brought her outside of the kitchen room. Stretching her lips into both sides, I said " I always want my baby sister to smile like this no matter, what others say. Okay?" She nodded her head like a small child, smiling as I said.

She turned to go but stopped in the middle and asked " Akka, what did the doctor tell to you?"

" What doctor?" I got confused listening to her sudden question.

" Akka, Ryan bro told you informed him that you have to go to the clinic this morning. That's why you couldn't come early today," she asked doubtfully frowning her thin and shaped eyebrows.

Damn, I forgot to ask what reason Ryan feed these people for my sudden short disappearance. Mentally I slapped myself for forgetting this important matter.

I gave a sheepish smile and said " Yeah, right, right doctor. Sorry Ruhi, I forgot completely in a  hurry. And ma..my reports are good. Nothing to worry about. " she gave me a slow nod like weighing my reaction.

Before she could ask another question I diverted the topic, " Okay, now without delaying go and serve the orders before customers lose their temper." I said jokingly and pushed her forward.

Once she left I heaved a huge sigh and omg... there is the next one coming. I turned to escape but in vain, he blocked the way to the corridor before I could run. Folding my hands in my chest I asked "What?"

" So trying to run away without even saying a small thank you to your saviour, ah?" He asked smirking.

I maintained a blank face and curtly said " Thank you".

" What, are you a robot? You have changed much nowadays.  Hmmm...I can understand. You're getting influenced by my idiot friend it seems." He said mischievously leaning to the side wall.

" Do not call my husband an idiot " I snapped at him and he said "Oh oh madam cool down I was just kidding. No offence " he said lifting his hands.

" Okay, all I want is a bright future for my dear best friend and my lil sister.  Be happy lovebirds " he said lifting his hands like a blessing style and leaving with an evil smile.

After he left I thought, oh my God ...what would he think when he happened to know that we went to his place for getting freshen up? I shook my head to stop my overthinking and went to start my work.

Evening, I took a bus to home because Karthik had messaged me saying that he has some pending work to complete regarding some taxation issues of one of his important clients. Getting down from the bus I walked to the small distance to our home, thinking about Karthik.  I didn't know when we would start our life together without any barriers and hiding things.

When I knocked, Kavya opened the door for me, I smiled at her but she looked tense. When I got inside,  I saw everyone sitting on the sofa except Aarohi and discussing something very seriously.

When their attention turned towards me, Appa gave a mock smile and stood from his seat. " Here comes the queen of the house."

His aura radiated the danger and his eyes looked hard. I have encountered multiple faces of him but this time it seemed like he was ready to murder someone.

" Appa..." he cut me off saying, " I recommend you to shut the hell up now because my patience is wearing thin with you " he warned me in a dangerously calm tone. I started to sweat looking at the way he was talking and for my misery this time Aarohi's parents were also in the living room to witness my embarrassment.

"Appa......" this time he cut me off with a hard slap which led me to fall down to the floor. " Don't you dare to call me like that by your filthy mouth, you whore" This time he screamed at my face. 

His hard slap caused me a sting pain in my right cheek. My lower lip quivered and the sight of him became blurry but I blinked rapidly to clear my sight.

" You fat bitch...you came home" I looked forward and this time it was Aarohi who was standing in front of Kavya's room with a disheveled look. She looked a mess.

She neared me at a fast pace and held my hair with a tight grip. I yelped in pain because she was holding my hair like she was going to rip it off from my scalp. Once again tears pooled around my eyes and my sight blurred. I couldn't bear that immense pain.

" Aarohi's stop it. What are you doing?" I heard Kavya's voice behind me and I felt Aarohi's grip loosened from my hair. I breathed a little and wiped my eyes to look around properly.

" W...what happened? Why y....you both t...treating me  like t..this?" I asked without stopping my sobs.

" Oh, bitch got the voice it seems...Aarohi bring your Appa's phone." Appa said to Aarohi.

Aarohi swept off Kavya's hold went near her parents and returned to Appa with a phone. Appa took it and knelt in front of me. " What the shit is this?" He seethed and shoved the phone's screen in front of my face and all blood drained down from my face, looking at what my father showed....
