" Karthik " he stopped on his spot hearing my voice.

" W... Why did you do like that?.... "

But he did not turn or open his mouth to answer my question. I know it is not easy for me to investigate him but I could not do anything to pursue the matter which happened today. Even I could hear the sound of palpitation of my heart, each and every second I am waiting for his answer.

Again he started to walk towards the door like he did not hear me. Was he deaf or what? When I thought he was going to leave the room, he closed the door and locked it. I started to panic about the situation because already I was in huge shock about his earlier behaviour. He locked the door and now I was caged between these four walls that too with the person who I thought as my brother before the hard revelation, but actually he was no one to me. Now he was a complete stranger who lived in the same house as me. Nothing more than that. And this feeling provoking the storm inside me.

" K... Karthik w....what are you doing?"

This time he turned towards me but his looks are totally different from the old ones. " What happened Kayal, why are you stammering?" he asked me with a evil smirk, leaning to the door.

First I was shocked to see this different side of him. This is not the Karthik who I have seen until now.

"K....Karthik, what happened to you? And you were not like this before."

Chuckling he said, "Tsssk.. Then who was I Kayal? Who was I? The truth is you did not know anything about me. Actually my own father and sister did not know about me and even they did not try to understand me..." he said in lost voice.

Suddenly he looked at me with different emotion and started moving towards me taking predatory steps. Today his actions were making me scared to death. I also started to retreat myself backward, step by step. He observed my act and that evil smirk reappeared in his face. My attempts were halted when my back crashed with the wooden table which was behind me.

When I looked back at the table and looked front I was startled when I saw his face and body were mere inches away from mine. Not enough of that he bent his body little bit near, caging me by keeping his both hands beside the table. Immediately I leant back as far as I can. But he did not have any idea to stop his movement. So immediately I placed both my hands on his shoulders to stop his movement. He stopped for a while and looked at my hands which I placed in his shoulders. Quickly I removed my hold and told, " K... Karthik, it is wrong. P... Please move back." I couldn't speak lot since his face is soo close to me. If he or me moved little bit, our lips will touch.

"Why?" he asked only that. Why? I Looked at him to gauge his expression. " It is not c....correct. We can not be s..stood like this c..close."

"Why? Are you my sister or belong to someone else ? As far as I know you are not my own sister nor belonged to any other bastard. That pervert, old hag called off the engagement and threw away the ring by his own hand. Then what?" He looked angry and voice is getting high.

" if you are feeling uneasy when I am standing this close to you then what about that bastard Siddarth who was standing very close to you on that day at restaurant. Also there were many of them watching the scene like a movie. So why didn't you open your damn mouth to say him to move away or it was wrong?" I shocked listening to him. How did he know about this?

" Did you know? At that time all I wanted to do was rip him off and cage you between my arms." he abruptly stopped and asked " Or did you enjoy his closeness? " I could feel his voice turning into more cold and face turning into red.

This is wrong. Everything is wrong. I pushed him hard and he was stumbled back." How did you know all this? And how could you talk rubbish about me?"

He chuckled, and told," Not only that, I know each and everything what's happening around you. From your childhood I have noticed the things even you missed to see....." telling that he sat on my bed. Here I am standing not knowing how to react to his words.

" Also I know for sure , what could have happened in Sara's room, on the day when Susila Aunty invited us for dinner. You did not open the door for long time and only Siddarth was absent while we were all there. And when we inquired you, you were all set to tell lie. They could have believed you but looking at your face I knew something has happened more than what you said. After when Siddarth came to the room like nothing happened but all your actions told me which you tried to hide. But I am sure hereafter I will not allow him to come near to your shadow. "

" Karthik, nothing happened like you assumed. All though, If would have something like that happened , it does not concern you. " at once he came and pulled me towards him by holding my arms. I'm really terrified seeing his face.

" What did you say? Listen me Kayal, Listen me very well. I will not allow any fuckers to come near you or snatch you away from me. It is good that Raj himself called off the wedding otherwise I would have done something to make him run away from this wedding. In future if any one came I will do the same thing to that fucker too. "
What happened to him? And where these all things are leading to?

" Karthik, what do you want? "

He looked at my face more than couple of minutes. What's with him? Looking at my face like he did not see me in ages.

" You" he said.

Ahh " What? "

"You" he pulled me so close to him and literally our chest areas were touching. I tried to back off but his hold tighten around me. "I want you!" I freezed and looked at his face. Is he kidding me!?

" And keep that in your mind, You are mine. Only mine!" giving a small forehead kiss he left my room while I had frozen in the same spot where he left me. The way he said those words and gave me the forehead kiss, shiver ran down my spine and something stirred inside me.

The door closing sound broke my stance and I recovered from the position. I blink my eyes few times to see whether it's a dream or not. And I realised it was not at all a dream. the lingering smell of his perfume in my room, proves the same thing. Still I could not process everything in my mind

I slowly walked towards my bed and took a seat. Currently my legs are going down like jelly. I started to rewind everything what happened in past....

When I called him as brother he warned me not to. I thought because he hated me but..... He did not have said anything when father used to scold me. But he was the one who persuade his father and make him leave the place....
During it was raining heavily Susila Aunty dropped me at home and he started to ask bundles of questions....
Yesterday when we were coming from parlour he asked me about my opinion about the marriage but I thought he was just messing with me...
Even in my dreams I did not thought something will happen like this. It is impossible.

He is repeatedly saying that he wants me and I was his.. But I did not know, actually what did he want from me... And I am not belong to anyone.

Two days later....

It had been two days from that incident. And I am trying my hundred percent of energy to avoid him. But he was giving me hard times. Sometimes I could feel his stares drilling holes in my head but I was so talented to ignore that. And the most terrifying fact was, what will be the consequences when father and Kavya comes to know all this things.

When I came back to work everyone started to ask about Kavya's engagement. I told them some lies to cover the whole thing. Around 6.15 pm, I left from bakery. I heard someone calling me behind . when I turned and saw it was Abishek who's coming . He ran near to me.

" Abishek why? What happened?"

"I.. I wanted to tell you something" he spoke still taking huge breath .

"Wha..." My voice striked before I could tell something, when I saw the familiar car pulling in driveway where we were standing ...
