A/n: Damn that's a lot of words!

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

It had been two days since I had arrived in my estate and the Agnigarh Manor. I had christened my manor as Agnigarh because it's namesake was a very legendary element in the history of my kingdom. Legend has it that the most beautiful princess in all of Pragjyotispur used to reside there and the monument actually was a fort made of fire to protect from any invaders or attacks.

In Assamese, Agni means fire and Garh means fort. So it literally translates into 'Fort of Fire'.

Our press conference was handled by Fury and because of that we got at least one day to ourselves including the fact that I got to meet Virginia Potts or as the world calls her, Pepper Potts, the CEO of the Stark Industries and a real woman of honour.

The both of us bonded over business and soon were really close friends. After such an eventful day, I caught up on my z's in the hopes of being able to get a peaceful night's sleep. Alas, I was wrong.

It was a bright morning in the hustling city of New York and unbeknownst to me, all the people in the manor were wide awake, going about their days. Had I not been so invested in my slumber, I would have heard Tony's and Steve's muffled enquiries on whether or not to wake me up. Bruce's answer was as usual. If they valued their lives, they must refrain from doing so.

But it was not my best friends who were destined to wake me, rather a raven's. Asgardian, might I add. Nature had tried to warn me but I elected to ignore it as I turned my back towards the huge glass sliding door which led to the attached balcony from where rays of sunlight poured in and hugged Ratri, who too, was sound asleep next to me.

She had arrived from Korea just before dinner last night with approval from Cho that my tigress was healthy as can be.

Ratri and I had been sleeping in the same bed since the time she was a cub. Her fur provided me warmth whenever the days were cold and she felt secure whenever I was next to her.

I slipped so deep into my sleep, that I travelled to my past. Amongst the many faces I encountered, one brought tears to my eyes.

His obsidian eyes bore into my (gemstone that matches your eye colour) and his pouty lips held a ghost of a smile. His hair was combed neatly and he was wearing his Navy admiral's uniform.

"How are you, Señorita?", He inquired implying the term of endearment he used for me.

His voice was just as bold and husky since the last time I saw him. A pain shot through my heart when I realized that he wasn't alive anymore and I couldn't hold him in my arms like I did before.

I gulped.

"Half but fine.", I replied. His left eyebrow shot up automatically in a playful manner.

"Ab batao (Expression in Hindi). After achieving such phenomenal success, her highness feels half. Why?", He asked again. I chuckled bitterly.

"You know very well why, admiral. You know very well..." He sighed deeply.

"I am proud of you, you know. You saw past a man's flaws and forgave him for what he had done to you. Not many are capable of doing that, (Y/n). You have no idea how much peace you granted him and one day, I am sure you will find the real culprit.", He said solemnly. Then he gained a cheeky grin on his face.

"Are you ready for today? It's a big day after all. Before that, what do you want for your success?", He asked. I looked at him.

"Yes, I am ready for today and as for my present? I want you back in my life, Samrat.", I said as a tear slipped from my eye. His face had the same innocent smile I fell so in love with.

"I am happy that you assume yourself to be ready but I am terribly sorry, my Señorita, what you asked for can't be fulfilled." He was silent for a while. I opened my mouth to protest but that was when he spoke again.

"But I assure you. Another love like mine, maybe even better than me will walk into your life. Promise me this, Crown Princess (Y/n) Acharya, once he comes, you will do anything and everything in your power to retain him." I was perplexed as I had no idea what he meant.

"Samrat what do you---"

"Do I or do I not have your word, (Y/n)?" His voice was soft yet firm which made me agree.

"Alright, I promise. But on one condition: you will not ask me to erase you from my memories." He laughed and nodded.

"I will not. This is my promise to you." He took a good look at me before saying this.

"Now I must go, Señorita for I am afraid we will be interrupted any moment now. Farewell." He walked back into the bright white light that he walked in from leaving me to scream his name.

"Samrat!", I yelled with a tear stained face. Ratri woke up due to my scream and looked at me in a worried manner. She put her head on my lap as if to say, It was just a dream. I put my hand on her head and scratched it.

"Sorry for waking you up. It's just that... He was there."

"Who?", Said another voice from the balcony door.

"Sam---" Before I could complete my sentence, I realised that the voice I heard was unfamiliar to my ears. I shot an alarmed glance at Ratri which she returned.

I jumped out from my bed and immediately created a ball of fire in my hand ready to defend myself and even Ratri was upright on her 4 paws growling at the intruder which looked like a... Raven? A petrified one, to be precise.

"My lady, my lady, my lady, please don't attack! I had no intentions of startling you!", It protested. This just fuelled my suspicions.

It spoke, as a protest. And I might not be Bruce Banner or Tony Stark but even I knew ravens didn't speak.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my room?", I demanded not angrily but neither gently. Ratri barred her teeth at him when he didn't speak for a few moments.

"Well?", I asked.

"You see, your demeanor and beast at the moment are frightening me. Would you mind having a calm conversation?" I raised my eyebrow at him. "Without any violence?" I took time to analyse the bird's offer.

His sudden arrival in my room did certainly startle me but as I look at him properly, he didn't seem that threatening.

I made the ball of fire disappear from my palm.

"Ratri, yield.", I commanded. Ratri looked at me with an incredulous expression on her face. I blinked my eyes to reassure her.

I put on my dressing gown realising my outfit.

I was still in my pyjamas which was a black sleeveless button up and collared silk shirt and a pair of shorts with a pink bow in the middle. In my foot I wore my black fuzzy bunny slippers and my hair was tied up in a loose braid.

I didn't really like keeping my hair open when I slept because it always went into my mouth.

So it was in a braid and now the new addition to it was my black satin laced dressing gown.

My tigress did free herself from her attacking posture, but didn't let her guard down as she sat next to me on my lounge chaise.

"Go on now. Why in the world do I have a talking raven in my room before even I have had my breakfast?"

"Yes, certainly. I am Gunnar and I bring a letter from Prince Thor of Asgard for you, Lady Kaal.", He informed bowing.

"So you are from Asgard too, am I right?", I inquired.

"Yes my lady." Another question came to my mind.

"How do you know who I am?"

"Well my lady, you see, we the ravens of Asgard are gifted by the Allfather with various powers and the all seeing eye is one of them.", He explained.

"I suppose speaking is one of them too?", I asked. I held my head as it began pounding to the very, unique, to put it nicely, wake up call that I received.

"Yes, my lady. And a thousand apologies for frightening you this morn but it needed to be done as the message, the crown prince sent seems to be of great importance."

"Oh yes, the letter. Could I please have a look at it if you don't mind, Gunnar?", I asked putting my hand forward.

"Of course, my lady! You may. After all it is addressed to you.", He said conjuring the letter up into his beak and dropped it into my palm.

I opened the rolled up letter and began reading.

Dear Lady (Y/n) or Kaal,

I hope this letter reaches you in good health.

Please accept my sincerest apology for not being able to attend the press conference as we discussed on Midgard.

You see, the matter at hand is more essential to be informed than that. Father has been informed of you ability to lift Mjolnir and he sends his congratulations.

I shall be back by tomorrow and I will call you once I do as I have something to discuss with you and the rest of the Avengers.

Best regards,
Thor.

"This was the reason he woke me up this early in the morning? God damn him!"

"Don't you dare.", I heard Gunnar warn Ratri. A scowl formed on my forehead and I looked at Ratri. I had made my peace with the messenger raven's presence in the room but she was looking at him as if she was going to get breakfast in bed today.

"Ratri, no.", I reprimanded noticing Gunnar's helpless situation. Adhering to my command, Ratri laid down next to me.

"Gunnar, I am so sorry for Ratri's behaviour. She is very well tames otherwise.", I justified, put my hand on her so that she stays calm. The raven shook his head.

"Not at all. M'lady I shall take your leave if you don't have any messages for Prince Thor." He was about to hop out when I stopped him.

"Gunnar!" He turned toward me. "At least have a sip of water. It's the least I can offer you for traveling through realms to just deliver a message to me.", I proposed going over to the mini fridge in the room and taking out a packed bottle of water before pouring it into a dish.

I kept it in front of him. Seeing him relish the water, made my day. I took a bigger dish and poured water in that too for Ratri. I too took a glass of water.

"You know Ratri, Gunnar? My mother used to say that one must always drink a glass of water in the morning so that we can wash away the negativity around and in us to start the beautiful day ahead of us."

"She seems like a wise woman, Lady Kaal. It's clear that you took after her.", Gunnar said. I laughed at his statement.

"As much as you flatter me Gunnar, I must deny your compliment. There can only be one Queen (Y/m/n) Acharya of the United Provinces of Pragjyotispur.", I replied.

"I must bid you adieu now, Lady Kaal as Prince Thor would be awaiting my arrival. Did you have any message for him?", Gunnar inquired.

"Oh yes. Please tell him that the conference was cancelled and ask him to directly come here with his bags once he arrives on Midgard as the whole team is here for a while. Could you please do that?" He bowed as a response.

"Without any objections. Fair thee well, lady Kaal."

"Fair thee well, Gunnar." And with that he flew out of my house swiftly. After I bid him goodbye, I took the luxury to let out a sigh through my mouth.

"What a morning right?", I asked Ratri. She promptly made an agreeing motion.

I went to the balcony and sat in one of the couches facing the enormous fireplace. The bright roaring flames of the fire that was lit last night were doused. The fire was lit to signify my presence in the manor and it was so bright that it lit up the whole Tri City Area.

I smiled thinking about the person who had done it.

My old nanny and now my house keeper, Bianca Martínez or as I called her, Tía .

She was a divorced middle aged Hispanic lady who had taken care of me like a second mother ever since I was an infant. My mother had instructed her to follow me wherever she couldn't so that I would not feel the absence of my mother and indeed I didn't.

When we arrived at the manor she locked me in a bone crushing hug, mumbling how thankful she was that I am alive and well, while a few drops of tears fell from her eyes.

After she finished fussing over Bruce too, I introduced her to the rest of the team and even the mighty Avengers couldn't escape Bianca Martínez's hug.

Tía ushered all of us in while Thomas was waiting inside with a glass of refreshing lemonade for the all of us.

Thomas, was the other person I owed my well being to outside of Pragjyotispur.

With messy blond curls and freckles all over his face along with innocent blue eyes, Thomas Wilson was a sweet Canadian boy who worked as my butler since the time I had first moved into this manor. 8 years.

Once Sri had got all of our various essentials installed in our various rooms and Raghav had made sure that not even a gust of air could enter within 50 KMS of the Manor without being checked by him and his team or my permission, Tía showed them to their rooms in the service quarters of the estate.

Later when she noticed the scars and gashes on our arms and faces she freaked out and swore in Spanish that I refuse to translate (it's that bad) before rushing Thomas to bring the first aid kit.

No matter how much we resisted Ms. Martínez was not a woman who backed down easily.

I smiled when a thought crossed my mind.

If I had to be real Tía, Thomas, Sri and Raghav were the people that kept me functioning properly.

"Mi hija! You're not ready yet?!" If the phrase Think of the devil and the devil appears was real, I was experiencing it. "It's already 8 am! In accordance to the plan you were---" Utter horror settled into my senses and I stood placing my hand on my forehead.

The reason for my panic was that today A²H was having a share holders meeting and mind you, it wasn't just any share holders meeting. No. Today we were about to launch our 3 years of toil and struggle by releasing the final model of our eco engines.

The speciality about this engine was that it used renewable energy sources to function instead of regular fuel. If the share holders approved of this, I would automatically make a profit of 7 trillion dollars. Yup.

You read it right 70,00,00,00,00,000,000 dollars.

And so that nothing is out of place I had given the 4 pillars of my house a schedule which had to be followed at all costs but due to my irresponsibility we were way behind it.

"I was supposed to be having breakfast!", I exclaimed putting my hand on mouth.

"Then go and take a bath! ¡No tenemos todo el día! (Translation: We don't have all day!) Quick now!", She hastened. I nodded and went to the bathroom immediately while Tía pressed my clothes and the housekeeping staff arranged my room.

I heard Thomas walk in and Tía asked him to take Ratri for a walk and then for breakfast so that she can start with her day.

After taking a quick shower I slipped my bathrobe on and headed towards the closet to pick my outfit.

I sat in front of the mirror in my vanity room while Tía attended to my hair.

You see, I had never learnt how to properly manage my hair and yes, I am completely aware how pathetic that is.

But I was a princess! I never had to do it! I always had my wardrobe team or Tía or Sri around me to help me out.

Besides, whenever my mum or grammy adviced Tía to let me tie my hair by myself, she refused by saying that I was too small for that and I could learn it later. And surprise, surprise, that later has not arrived yet.

"Oh my god Tía...! What do I do? Will I reach office in time what if they don't like my product and they decline the idea?", I asked panicking while Tía was styling my hair in what looked like a bun.

"Have you given your best effort?", She asked in a rather calm demeanor.

"Well yes."

"Then they won't reject it. And if they do, No habría visto idiotas más grandes en toda mi vida. (Translation: I would not have seen bigger idiots in my entire life).", She said adding a chuckle at the end which even made me crack up.

"Done. Come down for breakfast once you are ready, alright?" I nodded my head. Just before she was about to step out I called her.

"Eress el mejor (Translation: You are the best).", I said smiling at her. The middle aged woman laughed lightly.

"Baja rápido. (Translation: Come down fast)."

*Time Skip*

The stairs echoed with the sound of someone's hurried footsteps and I was guilty as charged.

Unlike many other ladies, I was blessed by being able to function smoothly even while wearing 10 inch heels.

In fact I had proved it by demonstrating it practically when I had to stay in heels the same height for one whole day during my parents' anniversary ball, where I had to move around and even run as fast as I could because I had arranged it single handedly.

For the other people who saw me during this time, it seemed like a miracle.

People struggled to stand properly in such high heels and the princess ran around in them as if they were nothing but a pair of sneakers!

And as mentioned previously, even today I didn't give up my trademark footwear.

Today I was dressed in a white long sleeved business dress with a floral print which was both, bold and elegant. The neck of the dress was a deep cut which exposed some skin while the bottom part ended above my knees.

Tía had tied up my hair in an elegant hibiscus looking bun from which a few strands of hair had gone astray due to my rush.

My ear lobes were adorned with pink pearl studs which were again in a floral shape.

My baby pink high heels were a blur because of the speed at which I rushed down towards the second floor, where the dinning room was situated.

In my arm I was carrying my white handbag which rather big to be able to hold my essentials.

My lips were painted in a nude shade while my right hand held my pair of sunglasses.

These had white as a base colour and it had been printed in a floral pattern while it's lenses were mahogany.

I had a penchant for a few things which included sunglasses hence I possessed a wide collection of shades in different shapes, sizes, colours, eras and designs.

"Good Morning, your highness.", Thomas greeted holding the door to the dining room open for me along with Raghav and Sri who were walking on my either side.

He took the bag from my arm so that they could place my lunch box and other food items that I would need for the day there. I was not allowed to eat lunch from the cafeteria (even though I had installed it) as it had the risk of being sabotaged.

Raghav handed security plan for the day to me while Sri handed my schedule and the newspaper.

"Slow down the both of you. I only have a pair of hands, after all. And yes, good morning to the both of you too.", I informed just as Sri was about hand me another file.

"Good morning Thomas. Good Morning Avengers." I received 5 different responses from the five people sitting in the 21 seater dining table. I went and took my usual seat at the the head of the table.

"Someone's looking hot.", Clint complemented noticing my get up. Natasha shot him a glare instantly.

"Hey!", The three of my brothers exclaimed together, dropping whatever they were doing.

"That's our sister, dude!", Said Tony.

"Yeah, where are your manners, Clint?", Added Steve with a scowl.

"I agree. That's absolutely no way to complement a lady.", Bruce supported. I laughed but used my finger to cover it.

"But you are looking very attractive, ma'am.", Steve compensated.

"Yup. Slaying it.", Tony added.

"Amazing, (Y/n). Like always.", Bruce added with a smile and a pat on my arm.

"Umhm. I won't be surprised if I saw on the news that a few men fainted because they couldn't handle all of that.", The Russian assassin added.

"Thank you. And Clint, don't worry. I loved your compliment. It's just that I have recently gained 3 over protective brothers, as though one wasn't enough."

"What's that?", Bruce promptly asked. I winked at him before turning towards Sri.

"Right. Now we can talk. Sri--- Oh my, my, Sri!", Exclaimed looking at my assistant's outfit. She noticed that too and looked at it herself.

"Your highness is something wrong with my attire?", She asked sounding both confused and scared.

She was wearing a white blouse along with a yellow pencil skirt and peach sandals. Near the hip, the skirt had a gold belt which gave it a subtly graceful look. For accessories she had worn a yellow and white beaded necklace which hung around her neck leisurely much like how her hazel hair flowed down her back.

The heels perfectly complimented her tall and lean figure while the yellow and white went beautifully with her chocolaty complexion.

"On the contrary. You absolutely scintillating, darling. Remind me to change your uniform please.", I said, going through the newspaper.

"What's the latest news?", Steve asked applying butter on his toast. I smiled when I saw the first headline.

Welcome to the new age, indeed

Was the exact headline with an elaboration about the Avengers including who they were and what they did. By the looks of it, it seemed like people liked the idea of us being around.

Well that's a relief., I thought.

"(Y/n)?", Steve called again. I looked up realising his question.

"Hmm? Oh yes. Well, according to me, we are the latest news.", I stated casually.

"I beg your pardon?", Natasha asked, a bit taken aback.

"See for yourself." I folded the newspaper and passed it across the table to her.

She scanned the page thoroughly until she was ready to pass her comment.

"Hm. I must say, Fury did a darn good job of hiding our faces. Except Tony's and (Y/n)'s of course."

"The only two people on the team who don't give two hoots about a secret identity.", Clint added.

"Barton, life already had handed us too many lemons and I don't know about (Y/n) or you but I don't like being handed things neither do I like the liability of a secret identity.", Tony cleared.

"Preach the gospel, brother!", I supported raising my glass of water. Scattered chuckles emitted around the table. "And besides, it's quite obvious that I was there thanks to my horde of quin jets." All of them nodded in agreement to the statement. I started glancing through the files lying in front of me and the silence settled back.

"Thor is coming back tomorrow.", I informed, ripping the quiet into 2.

"How do you know?", Natasha asked eating a piece of papaya from her bowl of fruit salad. Tony slid his plate of bacon towards me.

"Uh, let's just say it was the first thing I was sure of when I woke up. No thanks, Tony. I don't eat pork."

"What? Why?", My billionaire brother asked.

"Because her body doesn't react well to any other meat than chicken, duck, fish, crab and lobster. Oh yes and egg.", Bruce answered looking up from the newspaper he collected from next to me.

"Yup. And even if I have one piece of any other meat except those, get ready for a high fever, sea sickness, migraine along with stomach ache." Tony promptly stood up from his chair and took the plate away from me.

Clint and Nat smiled, before getting up to go for their training.

"Here you go sweetheart.", Steve said offering me a muffin from his plate. I smiled at him. Just as I went to take a muffin, my eyes went to the watch strapped around Bruce's hand. It read 8:45.

"Shit!" Before anybody else could reprimand me I was up on my feet.

"Sri, ask the pilot to ready the chopper. Raghav, go to the helipad ASAP."

"Yes, your highness.", With that both Raghav and Sri hastened their way to the helipad of the Manor.

"Black Bird, what's wrong? Why are you panic---- oh my lord! It's already 8:45!" The plan was given to the whole team to keep them in touch too and my three best friends had memorized it thoroughly.

Tony's head shot up from his breakfast.

"What the hell are you don't in the house till now then?! A of lnd why didn't you wake earlier?"

"Oh I don't know? Perhaps because I was working the entire night, last night?", I countered.

He stood up and poured some water into a glass while Bruce rummaged through his pocket, perhaps looking for the file of my vitamin pills he always kept in handy. Steve picked a chocolate chip muffin from his plate and the three of them came towards my chair.

"Guys no. Please, I don't have the time to---umph" I was interrupted, rather rudely might I add, by muffin being stuffed into my mouth.

"It's bad manners to talk while eating (Y/n).", Steve said sounding like my mom. I glared at him while he flashed me one of his famous Captain America smiles. I rolled my eyes.

"Very good. Now for the pill.", Bruce said taking the glass from Tony and putting it into my mouth himself before handing me the glass to get it down my throat.

"Marvelous. Last but not the least...", Tony picked up his napkin and wiped my mouth.

"There! Now you are ready to conquer the world.", He said with a satisfied smile. I stood up to take the bag from Thomas and the cup from Tía.

"What would I do without all of you?", I said before running out of the room. I heard Bruce yell a careful! but before I could answer I was on my way upstairs to the helipad.

Bruce's P.O.V.

Tony turned to me looking shocked.

"How does she run so fast in high heels?!", He exclaimed. I chuckled as we made our way to the living room.

"Has she ever tripped?", Steve enquired. I pondered on the question for a moment before answering.

"Not that I remember, no.", The incredulous looks on their faces were amazing to look at.

"Well that's commendable.", Steve commented. After a few moments of silence we came across the two assassins who seemed to have just returned from training.

"Hi boys.", Nat said silkily. "Has (Y/n) left for work already?", She asked.

"Yup, she left moments ago in fact. Did you guys have a good training session?", Steve asked.

"We did actually. And I kicked Clint's ass.", The one in the black gym attire informed.

"Did not.", The archer contradicted. The Russian just raised an eyebrow at him and smirked. Somehow, even though she had beads of sweat had lined her face, she was looking as radiant as the sun to me. She noticed my lingering gaze and caught me by surprise with her remark.

"Is there something on my face, Bruce?" I don't know what fused through my brain but a response which I wouldn't give otherwise, came out of my mouth.

"Phi." Except Tony who was smirking slightly at my answer, nobody seemed to catch what I meant and I was utterly thankful for that.

"What?", She asked doubtfuly. Embarrassed, I put my head down and shook it.

"Nothing. Uh... I will be in my room if anybody needs me." With that I climbed up the stairs and when I was standing in my suite's balcony, a I had made my mind on one thing: I Robert Bruce Banner, was in love with Natasha Romanoff.
