Appearance

Yuri is a young woman with medium length hair that is coloured black and purple at the tips. On the side it's the colour orange. She wears a long black coat, no shirt and a blue skirt. She wear a white and blue socks with black shoes. She has green eyes with snake like iris. In her demon transformation, she looked similar but she have the tentacles on her arms and her eyes become the colour red. Her back and legs and a bit on her chest have the tentacles suckers. A purple aura will appear around her body. In her human transformation, she has the same hair length and clothes and eye colour however, her hair is fully black. She has fair skin with a black and black crop top shirt under her coat. When she lifts her hair, under it had a second wide mouth with sharp teeth. She also has black painted nail polish with purple strips. As a human before she died, she has light black hair with bangs and short length hair wearing a dark navy blue skirt with a white button shirt and a navy blue blazer with her name as a badge on her left side on the chest of the blazer. Her eyes are grey before she died. She also wore black school shoes and knee socks which are white with light blue lines on the top.

In ' the harvest moon festival', Yuri wears a red checkered shirt with both sleeves rolled up to her elbow, blue jean shorts with a black belt, brown boots and a brown cowboy hat with a purple ribbon on it.

In 'unhappy campers', we see Yuri sitting on a green wheelchair with casts on both her ankle's and on her right arm with a cloth connect under it and around her neck to support it due to her fight with Striker in 'western energy'.

In 'oops', we see that Yuri no longer sits on the wheelchair and only wears the cast throughout the whole chapter.

The Hazbin hotel during 'the show must go on',She was wearing a white vest with many pockets similar to Tyler's combat suit. She is wearing a black and green angelic steel helmet to cover her eyes as well as white with black line arm sleeve with grey purple shorts and two spaghetti belts which one is white and the other black with her white with blue line sock on her left which was long and the other shirt with black shoes.

In 'Hazbin Hotel' during the episode 'scrambled eggs', she is around 5'0 feet tall.

Personality

Yuri is a kind girl who helps out her friends. Millie noted that she is different from the other humans. However when she gets angry, she will turn into her full demon transformation. During her life on Earth when she was alive, she always have suicide thoughts due to never having  friends and everyone in her school always pick on her. This caused Yuri to despise her former classmates even her ex boyfriend, Tyler especially her parents. Despite this, she cares about her job and takes it seriously. When she gets annoyed, frustrated or angry, she tends to speak her native language (Japanese) to curse.

She is someone serious and would do her job seriously and quickly. It also seems that she does have a soft side when she comforted Octavia when she ran off crying. She even comforted Loona when Loona told her that Vortex already has a girlfriend. This proves that she does understand what others are going on.

It also shows that she didn't believe there is even a God due to her past as this is a cause of trauma.

However, Yuri does want to have a nice relationship but couldn't have one because she is scared that it's only with benefits and not with really love or if it's unhealthy. This proves that Yuri isn't really over with her past and is still having troubles trying to forget about it.

After Yuri's death, she is entirely devoid and gave up on life and would rather die as seen when she didn't grab the life jacket that was thrown to her.

This is further supported as she shouldn't live anymore due to her parents hatred for her. It also shows that although she both hate and fear her parents due to their neglect as well as abuse which caused her to have the current trauma. In the end, she wondered if her parents are still alive.

Her hatred for Tyler, her ex-boyfriend is strong as well as the grudge she held for him since she wished that Tyler would rot since she believed that Tyler is a liar. She also shows that she doesn't want to fight someone that's more powerful then her not because she's scared but because she wants to respect the hierarchy and doesn't want to raise trouble. This also shows that Yuri knows her limits as well as respect those who are higher ranking then her.

However, Yuri treats imps and other lower class demons as friends or equals. She even was willing to defend Fizzaroli against Mammon despite her being an overlord and a sinner who is no match against a hell born sin. This shows her kindness towards those lower than her as this may seem that she knows what it feels like to be weak.

Yuri also shows a dislike as she doesn't like to have deal contracts with anyone since she doesn't like to force someone to do her jobs and she is someone independent and would rather do the work. She also doesn't like the attention as she declines Vox's offer to help start a business.

After reuniting with Tyler, Yuri is shown that she is unable to accept Tyler's feelings towards her and therefore asks other people around which shows that she is someone that relies on others answer which may be caused by her past since she always needs someone to tell her what to do. Not only that, but due to her past she is unable to accept Tyler's feelings having fear that she will get hurt again.

Meeting with her former classmates/bullies was hard for her since it is different with Tyler since she trusted Tyler but sees him as an ally or acquaintances. With her former classmates/bullies, she shows absolute disgust and hatred for her classmates due to the treatment they gave her and because of this even after she died, she held a deep grudge against them and refuse to accept their apology. This shows that Yuri's hatred runs deep as she held a huge grudge against them and even refuses to accept apologies due to her past and this also affects her ability to make connections since she is unable to open up her feelings for Tyler.

In the shorts 'hell's greatest sibling', Yuri cares about her older brother Jonah despite being half siblings on their father side.

Yuri is also someone who seems to dislike relationships which the person is underage as seen in the shorts 'mission: weeb-nerd' where Aiden wants to be in a relationship with her confusing his obsession with love where Yuri refuses to be in a relationship where her partner is someone who is underage. This shows that Yuri has moral and values and she refuses to cross the line when it comes to it.

Not only that, but after seeing Andrealphus behaviour, she thought Andrealphus is attracted to his sister, Stella, as Yuri even prayed it wouldn't turn out to be something such as Sweet home Alabama as she referenced this to the meme.

Backstory

At a young age, Yuri was a quiet girl with anxiety. However, she did well in her academic and her athletic studies. It also seems that she doesn't have any friends and this lead her to be an 'outcast' by her classmates. Her parents were too busy to focus on her and only focus on their work rather then taking care of her. In a few of her flashbacks, Yuri is being verbally and physically abused by her parents and they would belittle her and say the reason why they were together was because of her. Yuri became more mature faster because of that and because of this, she thinks that there is no meaning in life and resents her past and the people in it.

When Yuri graduated from college, during that time, they went on a cruise ship for a celebration with her classmates. but a storm hits the cruise and she fell out of it and drowned in the water. Because of this, she ended up in hell. Her parents died after 3 hours of her death. She transform into a octopus demon. She later on stayed at a hotel for a while until she found her own small house that is rent free. She joined the IMP and bought a motorbike.

In her flashback in 'queen bee', she dated Tyler when she was 13 but later on broke up.

Later in Hazbin hotel during episode 'the show much go on', it is revealed that she is a former sin as she was the lost sin along side with the other sins in hell however she later became a human.

In the shorts 'hell's greatest sibling', it is mentioned that Yuri and Jonah met online and tends to chat, call or FaceTime each other but after Jonah's death, Yuri is left in hollow since Jonah is the only person that she trusts and cares and now he is gone but they were United in the shorts again.

Tentacles- Yuri can turn her arms into sticky tentacles. It can grow up to 20 meters long

Acid mucus- Yuri can secret acid that looks like mucus and it can melt anything

Target detection- Yuri can detect the target like Loona by just looking at the names on the list and her eyes can detect it because the target will be coloured blue in her eyes

Human transformation- Yuri can transform into her human self any time she wants as a disguise

Scythes summoning- Yuri can summon a scythes from her hands as a weapon

Expert marksman- she is good at targeting targets for afar

weapon master- she's good in handling weapons as she is good at fighting her opponents with her scythe and in Hazbin hotel, she fought against angels using an angelic knife, dagger as well as her angelic scythe.

Expert swimmer- when she was fighting the giant sea monster in 'spring broken', it seems that she is a great swimmer and might be a swimmer when she was alive

Breath underwater- during 'spring broken', when she fight the giant fish monster, she went underwater and she doesn't have any struggle on breathing. It seems that she has the ability to breath underwater.

Toxic bite- she has a venomous bite like a octopus name the blue ring octopus which has a very venomous bite. It's extremely lethal. Her bite isn't strong but like a pin prick however, it's very strong and it can instantly kill someone.

Portal- in 'seeing stars' she said to Octavia that she memorized the spell from Stolas book and drew a paragon in her office. This also shows that she can travel to the human world without the book.

Flexibility/agility- since Yuri is part octopus, her limbs are very flexible and agile since she can go through small gaps seen in the episode 'truth seekers' where she sneaks through a small pipe.

Increase height- since Yuri's part octopus, her limbs can make her grow taller to make her intimate others.

Deal making- Yuri has the ability like all other overlords to make deals with anyone in exchange for something of them to repay their help. However, Yuri hasn't been seen doing this and it might be the fact she doesn't want to make a deal with anyone in particular. In the recent episodes of Hazbin Hotel, she doesn't like to force people to do her work and she prefers to do things herself as she said she is someone independent and would rather do it. However, the author didn't say whether if she did make any deals with anyone so it's currently unknown if Yuri did make deals or not. It is supported even more when Yuri talked with herself saying that she isn't the same Yuri that Tyler once knows to which may point out that she did make deals with other sinner however, the evidence isn't supported enough since Yuri have never once mentioned that she did make a deal with sinners nor did she mentioned who those sinners are.

Weakness

Dehydration- Yuri mentions that if she were to use her full demon form for long periods of time, it can cause her severe dehydration and tiredness.

Psychological

Mental health- despite already being a sinner, Yuri seems to still suffer from mental health due to her human self and her broken past which made her feel vulnerable and weak as this is seen in 'Ghostfuckers' where this weakness was used against her.

Economical

Social class- in 'mastermind', Stolas told her that in the social class, she stands above Blitz and his crew due to her status as a sinner since sinners are more stronger then imps, succubus, incubus and hell hounds. This also includes normal sinner due to her status of being an overlord. However, since she is currently a sinner, she is weaker then the Goetic as well as sins due to the powers and social hierarchy.

- the name 'yuni' means abundance and to have calmness as well as relax and open minded.
- the name 'yuri' means farmer since the origin of the name is from Russia and is associated with the Greek name George and is found in Hebrew, Japanese and Korean culture.
- the name 'Yugi' means game in Japanese.

- it is possible that Yuri might be from Russia since her fathers last name is Yuri

-she also have a black mouth under her hair however it wasn't shown much in the series

-her black mouth is inspired by Claire from Miss Perigrin house for peculiar children, Futakuchi-Onna the Japanese monster lady and Filia from a game called Skullgirls

- Yuri did say in Spring broken she used to be in rehab. It may seem like she went to the happy hotel where she met Charlie but it's currently unknown that she went there

-she changed her name into Yugi because of the black monster

- her sexuality was going to be straight but changed to pan.

- at some point in her life, she once had a boyfriend but broke up to some unknown reason. In 'Ozzie's', it says there he is the one that broke up with her and is currently with another girl. It unknown if he was cheating on her or if he fell for the women and want to break up with her to be with her. However, in 'the circus show' he only dated her because of a dare from his friends.

-it's unknown if Yuri is really married to Blitz because
- Blitz bought a ring and showed it in 'C.H.E.R.U.B' and she shouted to Cletus that Blitz was her husband
- from ' Harvest Moon Festival', we can see she was wearing the ring and from that episode onward, she wore it all the time

  - it's also unknown if it will make Stolas her second husband and Loona foster daughter and Octavia her step mother

- just like Alastor when he is talking in his full demon form, his voice became discarded, deep and rowdy just like Yuri when she is in her full demon form but only in a girls voice.

-it's unknown how old Yuri is but she mentioned that in her past when she is a human, she graduated high school and it seems that she lived in Hell for 2+ years. So it might be that she is somewhere in her 20s.

-it's also unknown if she stayed at the 'happy hotel' where Charlie worked and then moved out to get her own place to get back on her feet

-she has a few similarities to Baxter and Tyler, for example
- she became on octopus demon because her death took place in the sea like Baxter and Tyler who died because of both overdose and drowning
-her death is caused by drowning in the sea like Baxter and Tyler but he also overdosed before drowning

- she used to be a regular sinner demon but at some point, she became a overlord during her time in hell

- when asked what her weakness is, her weakness is salt because it can make her tentacles burn and dry. She also needs to stay hydrated. If she use her demon form for too long, it can be resulted to dehydration.

- it says there demons like her can't go to other rings in hell and can only stay in the pride ring but for somewhat reason, she can travel to other rings like wrath, lust, greed and other rings. So maybe the reason why she became a over lord is because she can travel to other rings in hell.

- she is currently living somewhere in between the imp city and the pentagram city

- Yuri never mentioned her real name in the series and not once. This might be because she wants to keep her name a secret from her employees and boss

- she has the ability like an octopus and the drawing and powers are inspired by one.

- when asked of her human transformation is her human self, it seems that it isn't her human self but rather like a skin. It seems that her past self isn't like her human transformation.

- in Ozzie's, it is seen when she looked over to her photos, it is seen as she was first hired, her first mission and her first group photo with the crew. However, it is also shown a picture of her when she was 15 years old before she died, a picture of her and her parents sitting together. This may imply that this was the only photo they had ever been together as a real family. It's unknown if they are dead or if they are alive.

- Despite her close relationship with Blitz and Stolas and despite Stolas being her one night stand in her point of view, she doesn't seem to want or even be in a relationship and this might be because of her previous relationship with Tyler and she may be afraid that she will get hurt and get disappointed again.

- when asked what Yugi really is, according to Yuni, he is more of a councillor or her thought/subconscious talking to her. It is also revealed that Yugi's pronouns are 'he/him' which makes him like another person from Yuni since they both have different thoughts and have their own opinions. The mouth displaced on the back of her head represents her thoughts and feelings in her mind. Yugi seems to know hell more which may mean that he is a hellborn demon but it's currently unknown how Yugi got attached to Yuni.

- during Yuri's prototype, she was going to have long black hair with no colour hair along sided with different clothing and her full demon form is more taller and bigger as well as her having red eyeshadow and red lipstick. This design was changed due to her prototype appearance looking older then her current design as well as the clothing looks more older then in her teenage years. The author wanted her to have a young appearance and have a more feminine but mature clothing and face as well as her demon form being in normal size.

-in 'unhappy campers', when Blitz said if she would do anything to find her sibling like him, Yuri kept quiet and didn't say anything and simply brushed it off. It's unknown whether if this is a sign that Yuri has a sibling but it was never mentioned by her. It's unknown if she does have a sibling or not. However in the shorts 'hells greatest sibling' it is revealed she has a half brother on her father's side.

- Yuri's limbs are very flexible and agile since she is an octopus and because of this, she can grow her limbs longer to make her taller.

- in Hazbin Hotel, there are several episodes she is in mostly acting as a support character rather then the main character.
- the author wanted both character who is Tyler and Yuri to appear in each others story however, we only see Yuri in Hazbin Hotel but Tyler only being mentioned in Helluva Boss however not making an appearance in the story yet. However in 'full moon' he was able to make an appearance and in 'apology tour' he didn't make an appearance but only a voicing.
