Lost???

A/N: The Hellraiser learns whose he's going to face in the next trial.

John Doe got ready to head on to the Pandemonium where the Sins were waiting for him. he had managed to succeed in beating two of the Sins. Only five more to go.

Barbatos: Have you prepared the necessary essentials, Master?

Hellraiser: Yes I have Barbatos. Thanks.

Barbatos gives a bow.

Barbatos: Do be careful, Master. The sins do get a little impatient if they're new favorite human is late. Tardiness is not an excuse.

Inbetween a warning and a threat. Hellraiser hated it when people read him like a book.

He do remember how Satan got mad because he went off the rail for a while.

Hellraiser: I take note of that Barbatos. Thanks.

~Later~

When the Hellraiser made it to the Pandemonium. He heard some chuckling inside. Suspicious, he opens the large door to find Mammon, looking at his phone.

None of the other Sins were in sight.

Hellraiser: Mammon?

Mammon stopped what he was doing and looked at the Hellraiser. John's breath hitched in his throat.

Mammon was staring not just at him. But directly into his soul.

The yellow pupils weren't  tracking movement; they are fixed on a point miles behind his skull, frozen in a glassy, abyssal wide-angle. There is no hunger or malice in that gaze, only a terrifying, hollow stillness that suggests it is no longer looking at a meal, but witnessing the inevitable end of a soul. To John, it is the look of a beast that has already calculated your death and is simply waiting for the rest of time to catch up.

A shiver had ran down John's spine.

Mammon: Oh. Hello Hellraiser~!

Hellraiser: Uh...H-Hey Mammon.

It seems like he's back to normal...from whatever he was doing...But John kept his guard up.

Mammon: They're out and about doing something.

Hellraiser: What...were you laughing at earlier?

Mammon: Oh. I was laughing at Lucifer. He got lost again.

John froze.

What?

Hellraiser: Huh?

Mammon: Yeah. He got lost on his way back to Paradise Lost.  Look.

Sure enough, Mammon showed his phone to the Hellraiser whom looked and see an image of Lucifer looking around in a unfamiliar place in Hell. He looked scared, desperate, and so utterly lost.

To John's surprise, the King Of Hell...started crying.

Lucifer: MAMMON!!!! HELP ME!!!!!

Mammon: *WHEEZES* HAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHA!

John stared in bewilderment.

Lucifer. The King Of Hell. The Sin Of Pride. The most feared yet hated being in all of creation...is crying and begging Mammon to save him.

The scene was ludicrous yet laughable.

Lucifer: *Crying* MAMMON!!! STOP ACTING SMUG AND HELP ME! IT'S NOT FUNNY! I KNOW YOU CAN SEE ME! PLEASE! I'LL PAY YOU ANYTHING!!! HALF OF MY POWER! HALF OF SOULS IN THE HARVEST! ANYTHING PROFITABLE! JUST ...HELP ME!!!!!

Mammon just kept laughing before hitting the Lyft button which signals a demon driver for the exact location.

Hellraiser: He's...He's quite pathetic.

Mammon: He is . No doubt. But I like him for it.  Believe it or not. He actually makes Hell bearable enough for us.

Hellraiser: You...seen to speak highly of him.

Mammon made a small smile.

Mammon: Of course I do. He's my best friend.

Hellraiser:....So he's your friend. The King Of Hell? I thought he was your brother or something.

Mammon looked confused.

Mammon: Huh? Brother. What made you think that?

Hellraiser: Well. Some beliefs I read growing up says you guys, the Seven Deadly Sins, are brothers or by some cases, siblings.

The sin of greed looked quiet for a moment before laughing again.

Mammon: Oh Hellraiser. We're not brothers. None of us are. We all each have a family of our own. Lucifer's siblings are the archangels. Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, etc. Satan's father is Amon, I'm sure you met you him already. Some of us have siblings but none of us here see each other in that light. We're more like. Friends, Comrades, or in Leviathan's case, Glorified Coworkers.

Hellraiser: Okay...So you mean to tell me Lucifer ain't your Dad or big brother or whatever.

Mammon: Nope. Not sure where the Dad part is coming from. Not everything follows the script, human. I have a few brothers and sisters back in Heaven. We're not exactly close. Asmodeus has a brother who clashes with him. Leviathan's adopted siblings Behemoth and Ziz cut ties with him because he's a toxic hoe. Beelzebub has a  twin brother named Baal here in Hell. They get along well and Belphegor got two sisters named Mara and Beleth. Their relationship is strained.

So they each got a family member of their own. Besides Beelzebub. Why does it sound like the rest are on bad terms with their family members.

Hellraiser: But... didn't God created you guys?

Mammon:....If you think atoms are related. I got so many questions for you.

Hellraiser: Ya know what. Forget the crap. Let's stop talking about this. So who am I facing next?

The sin of greed made a sinister smile.

Mammon: Who else? There's nobody here. Just us.

John backed up a little when Mammon...did it again.

The sin of Greed didn't blink. He didn't even seem to breathe. He simply set in velvet throne, his frame unnervingly still, fixing Hellraiser with a wide, unblinking thousand-yard stare.

The silence in the room grew heavy, curdling like spoiled milk. Hellraiser, usually unshakable and true to his name, felt a cold sweat prickle at his hairline. It wasn't just that Mammon was looking at him; it was the way he was doing it. The demon's glowing yellow eyes weren't focused once again on Hellraiser's face, but seemed to be looking right through his skin, cataloging his pulse, his fear, and the precise weight of his soul.

Those eyes—sulfurous, predatory, and devoid of any human warmth—reminded Hellraiser that he wasn't dealing with a business partner or a rogue spirit. He was sitting across from a Prince of Greed who saw him as nothing more than a ledger entry to be closed. Every time the light caught those golden irises, Hellraiser felt a primal urge to bolt, his instincts screaming that he was being sized up by something that had spent millennia perfecting the art of the hunt. Mammon's mouth didn't move, but the sheer, vacant intensity of his gaze said everything:

"I don't need to kill you like the others. I have already consumed you; you just haven't realized it yet."
