I stare out my window, waiting for his apearence, for his go signal. The sun stairs back at me, heating the sunny day. I look up at his window again, confused, surely he would be at his own bedroom window signalling me to go down by now? I continue to stare at his bland window until I notice something, a small blonde mop of hair bobing up and down from the bushes.

He left without me! I watch him approach our shed, a pot of paint in his hand. Before he puts in our password on the key pad he looks at me, for a moment his face is blank. I stare right back to be greeted by his tongue sticking out at me before he dissapears into the shed. I laugh at him grabbing the post if paint before running down the stairs towards the garden. Before I can step out onto the soft grass I hear Honey, my cat, meowing at me. I scoop her up and bring her with me, as I approach the shed door, colourless at the moment, I notice some writing on the door.

Kyle and Zia zebra best friends 4 ever.

My heart flutters as I see the message but then I focus on the Zia zebra. He knows I hate being called that, I turn to my right to be greeted by his stare, grinning foolishly at my through the window. I carefully put Honey down, she runs away, it would be best, for her own safety.

" Does Zia Zebra want to come in? " he taunts playfully holding up a paint brush. I grin micheviouslly pulling my paint brush from my pocket and dipping it in the pink paint.

I quickly type in the pad lock k&z4- then I pause " Oh, Zia zebra want's much, much more" I yell before pushing the last letter l and bursting into the room, as I get in I notice something, the walls, they were covers in pictures, pictures of us, together, smiling, eating ice cream, camping, almost everything qe had done together and my heart warms. I smile turning to Kyle, forgetting about the Zia zebra.

I open my mouth to tell him that this is lovely when he flicks his pain brush towards me, spalltering blue paint all over my dungarees! He grins at my shocked face " is Zia Zeb... Hey! " he yells as neon pink paint lands on his face. He licks his lip where pink paint was. His face retorts in disgust and I can't help laughing so hard that my insides hurt.

" oh your getting it now! " he announces walking towards me. Before he can do any damage I run out of our shed into the outside heat. I run to the corner of the shed squealing. I wait in anticipation, catching my breath. Slowly I peek my head round the smooth wooden corner peeking, all I see is the familiar scene of my garden, draws outstreching the scape, trees outlining the square, then the railing seperating our gardens and the mini gate our dads made so we could access to each others garden easily.

Suddenly I feel cold stickiness on my leg, I slowly glance down, orange splatters cover it. I hear a whisper " Oh zebra, zebra, aret we thou to paint the shed? " I laugh despite the zebra remark and turn the corner, I bring my brush to the shed and start painting. I had nearly finished a tile when I saw Kyle start painting as well. I dipp my brush in the yellow paint and flick at him, then I continue to paint like nothing happend.

Were silent for a few moments, painting, when I feel the prickly sensation of my arm. I turn to see Kyle wiping his brush down my arm, covering it in purple.

" No! Mum is going to kill me " I yell pouncing on him, causing us to fall on the ground, me on top of him. I grab my paint brush and dabb his nose in red.

" If your mum tries to kill you I will save you! " He yells herroicly, putting his hand to his heart .looking solemn. I roll off his chest laughing and we just lay there, staring at the sky, enjoying each others presence.

" Happy twelfth birthday Zia "

We would be best friends for ever.

* so guys first chapter on my new book. How do you like? I continue to struggle spelling orange and blue apparently! I will try and make the next chapters much longer and interesting its just you had to get a feel of there relationship and stuff! Also this chapt is cheesy for a build up

I have been inactive on wattpad because I am no longer aloud to have the app due to inappropriate titles on some persons book :( So I am on laptop for ever!!! Need to do singing homework and finish sorting my room now! Bye! Every Wednesday an update will happen hopefully because that is my free day!!
