Prologue.

One ability in the world that changes you from the rest of the human kind. In order to attain this ability, you must kill your parents and drink their blood. Then you will go through a series of beyond painful changes which includes growing new irises and pupils in your eyes and your old pure white soul filling with blood and darkness.

This process is called 'Soul Tainting'.

Only few survive this transition. And if you do, you are to go to a certain school for ten years for training. Because once you have completed the transition, you are an official demon; closest thing to a vampires description in this world.

Demons are super strong and fast. Their five senses are put to the max, with the never ending craving for blood. Some get special abilities, like mind reading or control over an element. They also stop aging and can't go into the sunlight. Now you see why they seem more like vampires?

Demons keep to themselves usually, because they're obvious to spot thanks to their eyes. They usually stay at the school even after the ten years.

Now, for the people that didn't get through the transition, they didn't completely die. They've turned into monsters that literally have no soul. We call them 'shadows'. Demons take it upon themselves to hunt down these shadows, putting them out of their misery.

My name is Snow, and I am a year one demon at Bound Boarding School. Year one as in this is my first day.

When you are of the age of five, you are required to chose a name, in case you complete the transition. The name gets put in the records of the Bound Boarding School, so they will always know who you are, and keep track of where you are always.

My old name was Sarah Smith.

But today, I am Snow.
