The truth runs wild,
Like a tear down a cheek
Trying to save face, and daddy heart break

Simons POV

After dinner and a few more games of FIFA, Josh sadly had to leave. I was now sat on my bed thinking, I felt a tear run down my cheek as I thought about Josh and how I could never get him to love me. We're too much of best friends for it to be anything more, I find myself sobbing at the truth as it swims rounds my head. I curl up in a ball letting the tears fall, there's only one thing I want right now...
Josh.

I grab my jacket and shoes throwing them on before rushing downstairs and to the door, I grab the handle before my mum stops me "Where you off to then?" She says,
"I was gonna go to the shop and a little work, I need to clear my head." I say truthfully not looking up,
She lifts my head with her finger "Aww Si, how long?"
"What'd you mean?" I ask
"How long have you loved Josh, sweetie."
"Too long Mum, probably about 3 years now."
"Oh Simon." She sighs pulling me into a hug as I cry quietly into her shoulder as she rubs my back soothingly, "So you've loved him since you were 13 and that's when you discovered you're sexuality?" She asks
"It is." I say,
"Why didn't you tell me, why now?"
"I haven't told anyone, Josh doesn't know. I just wanted to stay in the closet until I was ready but it doesn't seem to be coming quickly." I slightly laugh,
"Well I'm glad I was the first to notice." She smiles, "You need to tell him."
"I can't Mum, not yet." I say
"I understand but you can't keep it locked up forever." She says sternly
"You're right, but I'm going to think for a while and when I'm 100% I'll let people know I'm Gay and see how people react." I state
"Well everyone is fine with Josh so everyone should be fine with you." She grins
"Thank you Mum."
"You're welcome, now you can go out but don't be out too late." She warns
"Don't worry I won't be out for long." I say opening the door,
"See you Later Si." She waves
"Bye!" I shout walking off.

Simons Mums POV

As I close the door, my husband walks down the stairs a strange look on his face, "You alright?" I ask
"I'm fine." He smiles "So he's gay."
My breath hitches "Y-Yes." I stutter
"I'm happy for him." He says
"Really?" I asked shocked "You said you didn't like people who weren't straight."
"He's my son, dear. And ever since Josh has been around I thought he would come out and I accept them now. As funny as it sounds Josh has shown me that gays are just the same as us straight people." He chuckles,
I hug him "Simons going to be so happy!"
"I'll wait until he's back and I'll tell him." He says
"Ok, I'm sure he'll be over the moon."

Simons POV

I had just been to my local shop and bought a Red Bull and Dr. Pepper. I was making my way to the local park, luckily no one was around as it was quite late and I prefer being on my own in times like this. I allow two people to see me like this, one being my mum and you can probably guess the other...

Once I got to the park I went and sat on the swings, like the child I am, I cracked opened my red bull and took a long sip. I lightly swung on the swings letting myself breathe, it feels like forever since I've just sat by myself clearing my mind. I put my drink down and bury my head in my hands, sighing deeply and rubbing my eyes. I lift my head up and finish my drink before heading back home, I feel a bit better but the weight on my shoulders is still there. On my way back I decided to take a detour and go to Josh's quickly to give him the Dr. Pepper, I didn't really want to buy it but I know he loves it and so my kindness got ahead of me.

Finally I reach Josh's and knock on the door, after a few seconds the door opens and there stands Josh smiling "Hey Si! Everything okay?" He asks slightly concerned,
"Yeah everything's fine, I went for a walk and stopped at the shop. I got you this." I say passing him the drink,
"Oh Yes! Thanks man." He says pulling me into a quick hug, I laugh as he admires his drink.
"I better go now, I told my mum I won't be long." I smile
"Aww okay see you tomorrow?" He says
"Of course, do you wanna walk together?" I ask
"Sure that'll be great." He beams
"Cool, see ya Josh!" I wave walking away from his house,
"See ya Simon!"

I quickly get home and inside before being greeted by my dad "Hey Simon." He says
"Hey dad."
"Have a nice walk." He chuckles
"I did I had chance to clear my head."
"Good, good. I have something to tell you." He says slowly
"Umm Okay." I say confused
"I want you to know that I accept you son. I overheard your conversation with your mum and I wanted to tell you I'm fine with it. Your mum was shocked too, but I feel like since Josh told us he was gay then you would soon follow and Josh showed me that you can just be the same no matter what sexuality we're all the same." He finishes
I stand in shock not saying anything before throwing myself at him, hugging him. He laughs and hugs back before I pull away "Thank you. So much dad." I say
"No worries Son." He grins, I run upstairs and jump on my bed sighing in delight as I can't help but feel ecstatic, everything seems to be falling into place. But I need to take things slow I don't want it to go fast.
