I'm not good with action and serious scenes, BUT IM GIVING IT A GO!

So because you guys got me to over TWO HUNDRED THOUSAAAAND READS on my first story, I decided to give y'all two updates! Also, I kinda want the pacing of this story to go faster so I may consider posting two chapters a week, but that's entirely dependent on you guys showing your enjoyment to this story lol well kinda.

Chapter 15: Web Of Death

"Once I get rid of you... nothing nor anyone will be an obstacle between me and Naruto's love ever again," Hinata declared as she crushed Nia's hand with her foot and was preparing to do the unthinkable. She held a kunai and aimed the tip at the defenseless girl on the ground.

"HINATA, NOOOO!" Naruto was still racing to the scene, though not fast enough as he was still quite a bit away. "STOP! PLEASE!"

'Do it, Hinata!' Fuyuka was speaking to the Hyuga again. 'Kill her... forget about kidnapping her. You have the one who stole your beloved at your mercy. She's helpless... defenseless. Stain her blood on that kunai once more and prove who truly deserves to win over the genin's heart...'

"DOOOON'T! HINATAAAAA! The blonde screamed at the top of his lungs with an arm reached out as the Hyuga raised her arm, then with all her might, slammed it downward as everything seemed to have gone pitch black for Nia as if the curtains had closed.

Suddenly, just as she was mere centimeters away from sticking the blade in her opponent's head to finish things off, her hand halted — as did the rest of her body. Over and over she would try to make herself move again, but no matter how hard she tried, she was unable to. The only thing she could do, was shakily look over her shoulder and take note as her shadow seemed to have stretched to an impossible length and someone else had been standing some yards away from her.

"Shadow Possesion Jutsu: Complete," Shikamaru then breathed a sigh of relief as he then gave a nod to his teammate. "Ino!"

"On it!" The blonde girl held her hands out in front of her and aimed it right at Hinata. "Mind Transfer Jutsu!"

Switching her mind with the Hyuga's, Ino's body went limp as Choji was there to catch her from falling and carefully sit her to the ground. As she did her thing there, Naruto retrieved Nia, gently sitting her up and wrapping an arm around her shoulders as to help keep her upright.

"Nia," He observed the wounds she suffered and attempted to get her to regain consciousness by patting her face. "Nia!"

"Naruto!" A familiar voice reached his ears as he looked up to see Sakura running toward him with Sai to her side as well.

"Sakura," The blonde was relieved to have her there as his teammates got to their knees as well. "Nia... she's hurt really badly. Do you think you can save her?!"

Sakura reviewed the amount of damages done to the girl and noted the source where most of Nia's blood was pouring out from.

"She looks like she's been stabbed and beaten severely, but thankfully, none of her major arteries have been pierced at. However, I'm gonna need you to lay her on her back cause that's where most of her blood seems to be spilling from," The pink-haired girl informed her teammate as he did as told. Sakura laid her hands over the unconscious girl and began the medical process. "She's lost a lot of blood... but I can still heal her. It'll take quite a bit of time to get her fully patched up, but thank goodness we weren't too late to the scene."

"No kidding," Naruto wiped his sweaty forehead with his sleeve. "That was way too close... You guys saved her, ya know? Thank you."

"No problem."

"Naruto," Sai spoke up as he got the genin's attention. "What's going on out here? Why was Hinata attacking Nia and who's that woman Kakashi is keeping an eye on?"

"The village was invaded by Fuyuka. Apparently, she wanted to obtain the Nine-Tails' power for herself, but when that backfired, she somehow brainwashed Hinata and attempted to get her to kill Nia, I suppose. From what I heard from Iruka-sensei, she originally wanted to destroy, what the Akatsuki refer to as "The Guardians", as well. That's why we're all out here fighting her off."

"The guardians?" Sai seemed to not understand.

"You know, the ones who  have those weird kanji marks on their hands that represent what sort of meaning or bond they have with Naruto," Sakura reminded the black-haired ninja. "For example, if you look at Nia's hand, the kanji engraved onto it says: love. And you remember that time about a month or two ago when Kakashi removed his glove for us to see what had been engraved onto it? That said sensei."

"But, shouldn't the kanji written on Pervy Sage's hand say Master?" Naruto pondered the whole thing some more. "His spelled out peacemaker."

"Well whatever the case, I'm glad you guys are safe," Shikamaru made his way over to the three as he took notice of Naruto's injuries as well. "Naruto, you're a bit banged up to. Have Sakura heal you after she's done with Nia."

The blonde shook his head then warmly smiled. "No, don't worry about me — I'm fine, ya know? But seriously... thanks for stepping in to save Nia. There was no way I would've made it in time to help her being that I was too far away. Thank goodness you all finally came around at the perfect moment."

"Don't mention it," Shikamaru replied. "We're glad to help. Now... why don't you fill me in as well as to what's going on here..."

Again, Naruto explained the situation as the Nara listened carefully and nodded his head every so often.

"What a drag..." He sighed and folded his arms. "Well, I'm glad you're all safe and Kakashi-sensei is dealing with the enemy as we speak. Don't you think... it'd be a good idea to urge her into revealing Sasuke's whereabouts."

"I've done so earlier... she claims she hasn't made any contact with him in a long time and doesn't know his whereabouts, ya know."

"No, I don't believe that for a second," Sakura shook her head then turned Nia over so she could heal the wounds from her front side. "It's obvious she's lying and trying to not give out info pertaining to him."

"I don't know..." Naruto replied and glanced over at the woman as Kakashi kept her in her place while he, Jiraiya, and Iruka seemed to be interrogating her. "She didn't sound or look like she was deceiving any of us..."

"Hmm..." Shikamaru was suspicious.

Suddenly, the sound of mumbling alerted them all as they looked down to see Nia's eyes begin to tremor.

Naruto gasped and sat her up some more. "Nia!"

Finally after a few more seconds, the girl's eyes fluttered open as her blurred vision slowly refocused onto the blonde waiting almost impatiently for her to gain full consciousness.

"Naruto?" Redness quickly covered her cheeks as she gazed at him completely mesmerized when it dawned onto her that he was holding her in his arms.

'Ahhh my heroooo,' She nearly felt her soul leave her body as steam was now pouring out of her face. 'It's such an honor to have him hold me like this... I could die...'

"Sweetheart," The genin lightly shook her. "You alright? Are you hurting? Don't worry, I'm here for you..."

"Naruto," The girl could only keep blushing.

Naruto raised an eyebrow. "I don't get it... why isn't she responding? She looks out of it."

Shikamaru sighed. "She's probably just melting from the fact that it's you who's holding her right now. You know how she is with you, Naruto..."

"Oh... right," The genin sweatdropped yet was flattered and smiling at the same time. "She has it real bad for me. I totally forgot, ya know?"

"Geez, how do you forget that someone's head over heels in love with you?" Sakura shook her head as she continued healing the girl. "You're a real idiot, you know that?"

Sai tilted his head and only smiled. "I guess there are still women out in the world who love scrawny guys with tiny dicks, huh Naruto? That's lucky for you."

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME, SAI?!" This infuriated the blonde as he gritted his teeth and used one hand to grab his teammate's collar. "WHO'RE YOU CALLING SCRAWNY WITH A TINY DICK?! KEEP TALKING AND YOU'LL CATCH A RASENGAN TOO, YA KNOW! I'VE HAD IT WITH YOUR STUPID SENSE OF HUMOR!"

"Now, now... lets all calm down," Sakura tried to diffuse the heated situation.

"Grrrrr..." The genin only growled.

"Don't talk about my hero like that!" Nia scolded Sai as she snuggled more onto Naruto, looking over her shoulder in offense while having her arms wrapped around him in an embrace. "He's amazing and at least he doesn't go around walking with a crop top showing his whole stomach like you do and giving people the wrong idea."

"Nia," The blonde grinned and slightly blushed as he used a hand to press the girl closer to his chest.

"You know... I don't care about that sorta thing, Naruto. You can have a two-inch wiener or a gigantic foot long stick and I'd still be with you." Nia pecked Naruto on the cheek.

"A foot long?" Shikamaru sweatdropped. "Did you really have to go there...?"

"GEEZ!" Sakura was the only one feeling embarrassed. "Give this thing a rest already, you guys. Nia, how do you put up with what these guys talk about? Doesn't it ever bother you?"

"Nia doesn't care," Naruto answered for the girl. "She's chill. You can have any type of conversation and she won't care. She even laughs at a lot of guy jokes that you girls normally would disapprove of."

"I'm no expert, but wouldn't a foot long dick tear her to shreds?" Sai never lost his smile then grabbed Nia and leaned forward. "Besides, I read in a book before that if a woman isn't satisfied with her partner, another guy is supposed to lean in and kiss h-"

"GAH!" Naruto moved the girl away from his teammate and became enraged at the boy. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, SAI?! WERE YOU TRYING TO KISS HER?!"

"Well, I've already told you: The book I've read said-"

"I DON'T GIVE A RAT'S ASS ABOUT YOUR BOOK! YOU STILL TRIED TO KISS MY GIRLFRIEND!" The blonde snapped and hollered in Sai's face.

"DON'T EVER TRY TO PULL THAT AGAIN OR I REALLY WILL KNOCK SOME SENSE INTO THAT STUPID HEAD OF YOURS, YA KN-"

"Naruto, that's enough. Please stop," Nia got between the two once more and rested her hands on the genin's chest. "You know he still has trouble with how to be respectful and understanding basic social do's and don'ts. He didn't have a real romantic intent on kissing me. Let's just try to understand that and take a deep breath, okay?"

Bringing the girl against his chest again, Naruto still wore a frown as he glared at Sai.

"Stupid Sai..." He muttered under his breath. "This guy has no sense of respect whatsoever..."

With that, he gazed at the recovering girl and rested a hand on her cheek.

"So... you feeling alright, Nia? Does anything hurt?"

"I'm not completely okay... but I'll manage. Thanks... for asking. I'm sorry to have worried you."

Pushing his hand at the back of the girl's head, Nia was embraced as heat risen to her face.

"That's great... I'm relieved," He breathed.

"Sakuraaaaaa!" A voice hollered from afar as a certain hyper individual came sprinting into the groups direction before skillfully sliding on his feet and coming to a standstill.

"Lee, it's you," The pink-haired girl glanced over her shoulder just as the black-haired young man fell to a knee next to her.

"Sakura, I am here. No need for you to fret any longer..."

"I don't think she was fretting about you not being here moments ago, Lee," Tenten arrived to the scene along with Neji.

"You guys too?" Sakura tilted her head.

"Captain Yamato informed us of the situation at hand and we immediately took action," Neji explained as he then turned his head to see Hinata laying on the ground on her back as Ino was healing her up. Instantly, he headed on to her. "Oh no! Lady Hinata!"

"Don't worry, she'll be just fine. I was able to swart off the enemy taking control of her mind," Ino reassured the Hyuga as he got on a knee and observed the wounds on the girl's body.

"She's suffering several bad wounds... who could have done this to her?"

"Uhh..." Naruto sweatdropped as Nia hid her face in his chest and lightly clenched his jacket.

"She was being controlled by the enemy and was fighting with Nia," Shikamaru answered for the girl. "Nia was simply defending herself so if you're going to get angry at anyone for hurting Hinata, be angry at Fuyuka over there."

"Yeah, what he said!" Naruto agreed.

Neji crossed his arms and seemed to give Nia a displeased expression. "Hmm..."

"ARGH!" The group suddenly heard a groan as their heads snapped in the direction of where the enemy was. Kakashi was laying on the ground, clenching his wounded arm as Fuyuka had escaped from his grasp and now had released a jutsu that sprouted webs out of the ground to help elevate her over the buildings of the village.

"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto and Sakura called out to their sensei as Sakura ran over to aid him.

"I've just about had it with you Leaf ninja..." Fuyuka hissed as the expression written on her face clearly showed how truly humiliated and infuriated she was having been brought down momentarily by those in the village. "You are ALL beneath me! I don't understand how I'm able to read your minds yet you've managed to still find a way to fool me! I will not tolerate having been dealt with in such a way! YOU WILL ALL DIE BY MY HANDS!"

Instantly, the woman proceeded to perform a hand seal.

"Ninja Art: Dusk Of Blood!"

"KYA!" Nia screamed, along with some of the others when a sudden powerful gust of wind blew back in their direction.

The leaves on the ground immediately flung right into the air and the trees looked as if they were gonna get pulled right out the dirt while villagers desperately clung onto something to help keep their balance. Turning around, wrapping his arms around Nia's head and keeping it tightly close to his chest, Naruto shielded her from the wind while everyone else used their arms to shield their faces against the increased pressure.

"Don't worry, I got you!" He reassured her as Yamato quickly used a technique to protect everyone against the enemy's attack.

"Wood Style: Dorm Wall Jutsu."

Wooden pillars shot out of the ground from left and right. The pillars joined together in a dome-shape, enclosing the group within the center of it and keeping them safe from the wind.

"Whew, are we ever lucky to have you, Captain Yamato," Tenten sighed a breath of relief as did the others.

"No kidding..." Sakura raised her hands above Kakashi as a green light emerged out from it. "Now I can heal Kakashi-sensei more effectively."

"I doubt this wooden dorm is gonna last us a while, so we're gonna need a game plan quick." Yamato informed everyone.

While they would go on to do that, Naruto pulled away from Nia, placing his hands on her shoulders and checking on her.

"You alright? Did the wind hurt you at all?"

"No... I'm just fine. Thank you for protecting me," Nia gave a warm smile.

The genin nodded. "No problem. You can count on me, ya know."

Meanwhile, Neji was rather impatient in waiting for his cousin's recovery.

"Ino, how is Lady Hinata coming along?"

"She's doing well, but I feel she's just unconscious at the moment. Try not to worry yourself so much, okay?"

Despite that, the Hyuga would narrow his eyes at Nia and would jump over to her and Naruto; noticeably irritable.

"You..." He confronted the girl as she and the blonde turned their head to look at him. "How is it that you were able to inflict a sufficient amount of damage on a Hyuga?"

Before she could answer, Naruto got in front of her as a means to defend her.

"You gotta problem with her or something, Neji?"

"Quite a problem actually. I wanna know how someone who seems to lack great fighting ability to take down a member of my clan."

Offended by his way of words, Naruto replied, "Nia's not as weak as you think she is. Sure, she may not be on our level, but she can hold her own just fine. She's not as weak as she was when I first met her or even brought her here for the first time. She's improved a lot over the last year or two, ya know?"

"But... to be able to bring down Lady Hinata... when before her fighting style wasn't so great those times I've observed her on missions..."

"When you got someone as strong as Pervy Sage or me helping you improve your skills, of course someone's gonna exceed expectations rather quickly. What can I say? She's got some of the best aiding her."

The Hyuga frowned.

"I'm sorry... about Hinata." Nia decided to speak up. "She was being controlled and was trying to harm me. I had no choice but to fight back and defend myself. Besides, it's not like I didn't struggle. She's strong... and very skillful with her movements and techniques. In the end, she took advantage of the fact that I got distracted and struck me down. She technically won that one..."

"Yeah, so just let this one go, all right?" Naruto responded. "We need to focus on the bigger issue outside of this thing, Neji. We need you to focus so we can work as a great team, ya know."

"Understood," The guy nodded. "Forgive me if I had offended either one of you."

"No offense taken — you're forgiven," Nia accepted his apology.

With that, the group would continue strategizing, though it would be cut short as cracks appeared from the ground beneath. The ground shook up and down, as if the entire place suddenly fell from the sky and struck the earth with mighty impact. All standing, were knocked to their bottoms as they scrambled right back up to their feet but most immediately lost balance and were reduced to crawling as they waited for the intense shaking to come to a halt.

Unable to keep the dorm intact after having pieces of wood rip right out of its place, Yamato was forced to let it strip away as everyone came to a startling discovery that the sky was now of a bloody red color, seemingly only stretched across the village itself.

Soon, webs would ensnarl around the village, trapping everyone inside and keeping others from the outside from getting in.

Taking advantage of the fact that everyone was guarding themselves from the wind's intensity, Fuyuka spread her arms wide, chakra seeping out of her body as she done so while little needles seemed to have formed from out of it and began spraying violently into and around the village.

It would go through buildings, the ground, trees, and everything else. With each person that had those thin needles inserted into them through their skin, that person would become paralyzed and almost as if they were frozen in time.

They were unable to feel or think for themselves. It were as if they were mere human statues. Every normal villager and animal residing in the village was impacted by this jutsu and were kept at a standstill. When the needles came directing at the group of ninja, they would all try their best to protect themselves from getting hit, but most of them were targeted anyways and thus, paralyzed.

The only ones who seemed to have been unaffected by this shower was Naruto and
those whom were considered as the guardians to the Nine-Tails. A shroud of light would blanket around them as the kanji engraved on their hands would glow and acted as a barrier against the attack. Since the blonde was right next to Nia, he was shielded within the barrier.

As for Sakura, who was next to Kakashi, she wasn't spared as she had been hit right before his barrier would form around them.

When everything began to settle down, the barriers would go down and reveal only the six who seemed to have been left untouched by the woman's jutsu: Jiraiya, Kakashi, Iruka, Naruto, Nia... and unexpectedly, Yamato.

The brown-haired man was able to protect himself through using his wood to swart off the needles.

Meanwhile, Iruka took the time to observe his surroundings with quivering eyes.

"Just... look at everyone..." His voice trembled slightly. "They're all... not moving."

"Yeah... she must've used some sort of paralysis genjutsu of some sort." Jiraiya remained calmed and collected.

Kakashi winced as he sat up and still held his hand over his arm. When he surveyed the area, one thing caught his eye above all else.

Not too far from them, Guy, along with Tsunade, was running towards the group as to aid them though their movements had been stopped. They had been inflicted with the needle and thus couldn't do anything about the current situation.

"Even Guy and Lady Tsunade..." He then staggered to his feet before groaning and falling onto a knee.

"Kakashi!" Iruka put the man's arm over his shoulder and helped him up. "You alright?"

"I'm a bit beaten up, but I'll be just fine. Thanks for your help, Iruka."

"Yeah... no problem."

Meanwhile, the sannin had went over to his pupils to check on them.

"Naruto. Nia. You kids doing okay?"

"Yeah, we're good," Naruto had the girl close to him again. "But how about you, Pervy Sage?"

"No need to worry about me."

"ATCHOO!" A sneeze seemingly came outta nowhere as the group looked amongst one another to see who had done that.

However, all six denied to have done that. Viewing everyone around them besides each other, they all appeared to be frozen.

Naruto waved his hand in front of Neji's and Sai's faces and received no responses from them. Thinking it could've came from Lee, he did the same to him, but the young man was frozen as well.

Noticing something off about a particular ninja, Nia went over to them and stared hard at their movements. Their body seemed to have trouble keeping still, but Nia wasn't sure if she was just imagining things.

Who would really try to fool everyone that they were frozen?

Unsure of herself, the girl pushed at the person's chest — They didn't move. She was wrong after all.

However, before she could turn around and leave, the person soon lost their balance and fell on their back as the kunoichi shrieked and drew everyone's attention over to her.

"What the hell?!" Naruto came running and frowned as he realized who was it that had sneezed. "Shikamaru, are you serious right now? Why the hell did you pretend you were paralyzed?!"

"Ugh, why can't I ever get my acting skills just right when it comes to things like these..." The jonin sighed heavily as he was found out. "This is the second time I got busted. First with Sakura and now with Nia... When will I ever catch a break? What a drag..."

"You know, was that really necessary, young man?" Iruka arrived with Kakashi and gave a displeased look. "The whole village is in jeopardy right now and you're over here trying to fool everyone."

Annoyed, Shikamaru frowned and used a finger to dig into his ear.

"Yeah, yeah, I know... but as I said to Sakura and Naruto the last time the village was placed under genjutsu: I didn't wanna get involved with this whole mess."

Hearing this, Nia started laughing, only to get scolded by her cousin.

"Young lady, you find this amusing?!"

"Well, come on... you gotta admit: That was pretty funny what he did," She continued to chuckle. "He got us."

"Well, at least someone isn't mad at me." Shikamaru replied.

"How were you able to not get hit with one of those needles?" Jiraiya questioned as it bewildered him as to how Shikamaru was still able to move.

"It simply didn't hit me... I got lucky," The Nara boy answered.

"Instead of focusing your attention on this absurd prank of his, you oughta focus on the threat at hand," Fuyuka, still standing atop a pillar of webs spoke in a thunderous tone that automatically gained everyone's attention. "Don't think I'd let you fools get away from me. I'd only need to kill you guardians then take the jinchuuriki's power for my own gain. I will not associate with the Akatsuki any further. I will take action into my own hands."

She then made eye contact with Nia and smirked.

"And I think... I'll start... by killing... HER!" The woman clenched her fist as webs shot from out the ground and nearly wrapped Nia within them.

"NIA!" The blonde pushed her out the way as the webs instead entangled him in what looked like a cocoon.

"Naruto!" Everyone became immensely concerned as the genin was no longer in their sight, having been completely surrounded in webs.

Nia's eyes widened as it made her think back to the time just after she had left the Cloud Village and became a chunin.

Ah! Don't tell me she's trying to put him in that awful genjutsu again?!

"Don't worry," Kakashi took out a blade and embedded chakra around it. "I got this!"

With a swing of it, the weapon managed to tear a small hole within the cocoon but when it did, lighting sprouted from out of it and electrocuted the copy-cat ninja, sending him flying several yards away on his back against the ground, lifting up dirt into the air as he done so.

Inside, Naruto was doing his best to do the same thing, but was having no luck.

"Damn!" He collapsed to a knee and started panting. "I feel like I'm losing oxygen fast! If I don't get outta here, I'm gonna suffocate!"

Thinking if he were to attack the user, Naruto would get free, Yamato used his wood to combat the woman and get her to release the jutsu.

"You really think you can save him by getting rid of me?!" She laughed and pointed at what seemed like a line of webs connecting her to the cocoon. Chakra was channeling through it from her and Naruto. "Take a look! He may have saved the girl from being suffocated, but he only got himself into deeper trouble cause now I can just suck his immense chakra right out from him, you see!"

Resorting to cutting the connection between them, Jiraiya and Iruka did their best to do so, but with each attempt, they'd fall prey to the lightning radiating off of it.

Suddenly, a glow came from Nia's hand as she looked down at it and gulped as she was unsure of how to free the young man. However, taking the chance at being severely injured, she took out a kunai anyway, squeezed the handle and inserted chakra around it then slashed down at the cocoon as hard as she could, ripping away at some pieces yet being unable to get it all through.

Lightning was pouring out of the thing like crazy, but somehow the glow coming from her hand once more enveloped her within a barrier — protecting her from getting electrocuted like the others. Suddenly, the blue chakra turned pink and began to elongate itself from the tip of the kunai, burning through the webs as it slowly but eventually managed to melt the thing in half and free Naruto from its prison.

"Ugh!" The girl then dropped the kunai and groaned when the chakra disappeared. Steam risen out of her hand as it was revealed to have been slightly burned.

However, she did her best to ignore the pain and check up on the genin, who was trying to recover from having had some of his own chakra stolen away from him.

"Naruto, you okay?" She placed her hand on his shoulder.

Wrapping his arm around her shoulder then resting her hand on his hip, Nia helped him to stand up.

"Man... I feel a little off." He told her before thanking her and standing on his own. "This lady is full of tricks, huh?"

"She stole some of your chakra," Shikamaru informed the blonde as he glanced up into the sky to see Fuyuka still evading attacks from Yamato and inflicting some of her own blows on him.

"No wonder I feel a bit weakened." The ninja understood. "She's not messing around. Five minutes in there and I could've got my life force sucked out from me, ya know?"

With a knee to his chin then a kick to his stomach, the enemy sent Yamato crashing to the ground on his back before pointing her finger at the three still standing.

"You gonna step up to me or what?" She seemed to have challenged them. "I don't have time to be playing any games with you all... this all ends here."

"You're damn right it does!" Naruto took a step forward then punched his hand into the open palm of his other one. "Don't think I've forgotten what you put my friends and I through that time you hid us underground and trapped us in that horrible genjutsu of yours a year or two back! I'd like to show something terrifying to you as well this time around. Trust me... it won't be sunshine and rainbows."

"Hmph... your rasengan might've got me once, but that was a mere fluke: I shall not allow you to catch me by surprise again, jinchuuriki." The woman read his mind.

Her eyes then once more flickered over to Nia.

"Tch," Naruto got in front of her. "You're opponent is me, so stop trying to get your blood thirsty hands on her, ya know!"

"Naruto, let me-"

"No..." He seemed to have already knew what Nia was going to request.
