Dear Quinn,

I hope this email finds you well. I've debated sending it for the better part of a year. We've never been super close or anything, but I've admired your work over the years and your dedication to the sport, despite all the ways it proves it doesn't care about people like us. I'm sure we've both gotten used to it.

Feels like a lifetime ago, but we both attended a gala in Toronto back in 2022. I remember meeting you there with your brother. He was still playing with Vancouver at the time. Great season. Still surprised he was traded to Minnesota, but you and the rest of your family were probably fine with that. I'm not sure what player wouldn't want to play for their hometown team.

Anyway, I'm rambling at this point. Do you have time to talk? In person? I know it's a lot to ask, but I'd really appreciate it. It's important and I don't know who else to talk to about this.
