All the thoughts were making me even angrier, blurring my vision more. "I will never accept this, I will never let you get to your selfish goals, Jack Miller. I Nina Rogers is going to ruin everything for you and I'm going to start by ruining your life first" I said in my angry voice while wiping the angry tear which slipped from the corner of my left eye.

I slammed closed my laptop pushing it away from me and it fell down with a thud. I didn't bother to give a second glance to it and curled myself on my bed. Tears kept running out of my eyes. I know I'm taking out my anger on the poor thing but I'm angry.

How could he do this and he even dared to send me legal notice?

How can he play with so many lives just because of his selfishness?

He even tricked me and kept me away so I couldn't come in his way.

Stop it, Nina! Stop being angry. Stop crying your eyes out, it's not going to solve anything for you. You have to fight back, you can't let him do this to you. You can't sit ideally and let him win so he can fulfill his selfish deeds. It's enough is enough. Stop pitying everything and start fighting back because that is the only thing you know best. You can't let Satan win. You have to stop his cruelty.

"I'm not gonna let it slide this time. I'm going to make him suffer too. If he wants to play dirty then I'm going to step in that dirt and make him fall on his knees. He will beg for mercy" I said in my determined voice while wiping my tears. In a split of seconds, I made my decision of how I'm going to start fighting against him. I never wanted to choose this path because I was determined to do something else more meaningful but he forced me to do this.

Taking my cell phone I called dad. "Kitten, did you receive the papers," he asked.

I took a deep breath to swallow my increasing hatred. I can do this. I have to do this for all of them for her. If I back out now nothing will be left in my hand. "Dad, I'm ready to take the CEO's post," I said in my determined voice.

"What are you serious," I heard dad's happy shock voice.

"Yes," I said in my same serious voice.

"My God I can't believe this. Kitten, I'm so happy with your decision," he said still in his shocked voice. "I didn't know this internship was going to do this wonders," he said in excitement. He wanted me to join the company as I'm the sole heir but I always denied it but now I need that power in my hands. He sounds so happy I just kept listening to him. At least someone is happy with my decision. "You don't worry about anything. I'm going to handle all the paperwork here. You just have to come back and join the company. I need to do all the preparation now just let me know when you will be back" he said in his excited voice.

"Yes I will let you know," I said and then we said our byes. I kept my phone aside. I lied back on my bed and kept staring at the ceiling. I have taken this big step but I don't know how I'm going to do it.

Nina, you can do it.

My inner self cheered me. I took one more deep breath and tried to sleep to find some peace of mind. Next two days I tried to figure out how I'm going to oppose him. How I'm going to defeat him. To keep my mind sane I went to the gym to blow my stress out. Each time I punched my punching bag I could see Jack's face in it. So I punched and high kicked the punching bag with more force. Thrust me it helped me more than anything. It's my personal favorite stressbuster. By doing this I kept my temperature low. The first thing I'm going to do when I see Satan is punching him hard and breaking his fucking jaw. 

After two long days, the weather here becomes clear. The first thing I did was book myself a flight ticket back home. I message Jane and dad of my arrival. Actually, I just told dad that I'm coming tomorrow and message, Jane, my flight details. I don't want dad to take me from the airport directly to the office and declare to everyone that I'm joining the company. He wants to make an official announcement before I change my mind knowing how moody I am.

I may be moody but I don't change my mind if I set it on something. And this time I'm set on destroying Jack's life.

Taking a deep breath I tried to sleep early so I could wake up early for my flight but thoughts of how I'm going to fight against Satan kept crashing in my brain. After struggling for two hours I drifted to sleep but woke up like a jolt of electricity was passed to my sleeping body because of this stupid dream where I saw jack was choking me while giving me his victory evil laughter and his elongated canes were about to sink in my neck.

"God what kind of rubbish dreams I'm dreaming now a day" whispering that I moved my hands on my face to wipe the cold sweats from my face. In my dream, I saw his real satanic face of Jack. I was trying to relax my wildly beating heart but in a second I flinched again listening to my alarm in my pin drops silent room. "Why is the universe trying to give me a heart attack first thing in the morning" I whispered while shutting my alarm off. I threw it back on my nightstand and went to the bathroom to shower and change so I could leave for the airport. My morning kinda started off. Later when I was done with everything I left for the airport.

Arron and Emily came to see me off at the airport even if I said they don't have to. I'm not good at saying goodbyes. "We are going to miss you so much," they both said while hugging me tightly. 

"Message me when you come back," Arron said with a small smile. I nodded with little tears in my eyes.

"Don't forget to text me when you plane lands" Emily said with the same emotion.

"I love guys," I said, hugging them back for the last time. Now I was flying back home. Setting in my seat I kept staring out of the window looking at the clouds.

Life would have been so easy if I was a cloud. I would have floated from one place to another carefree. Life would have been so sorted. When I felt sad I would have rained my sorrows and when I felt happy I would have taken a sunbath right under a beaming sun while giving people shade to rest. But life happens and I was born as human and that too where satan already took birth so he could make my human life which Is full of hardship even harder. I have a strong feeling that god never liked me a bit. He was never on my side of once.

I was out of my thoughts when the flight attendant announced we had landed in New York. I took a deep breath and whispered under my breath "Welcome back home Nina Rogers" saying that I stood up. Collecting my luggage I came out in excitement to find any signs of Jane but she was not there. Strange I thought she would be waiting for my arrival with the same excitement as me. I should call her or she must be on her way here. I should probably wait for some time. After fifteen minutes I saw a car stopping in front of me and happy Jane came running to me in excitement. "You are late," I said in fake annoyance as she was supposed to come early here.

"I'm really sorry," she said sweetly while hugging me tightly. I need his hug so much.

"I'm letting this slide this time because I missed you so much," I said hugging her back tightly. I can't be angry at her for more than five minutes. 

"Come let's go. I have something to tell you" she said, dragging me towards the car. The driver took my luggage. We went to the nearest cafe to eat and talk. We ordered our food and took the seat near the window side and soon our food arrived. "How was your internship," Jane asked while taking a sip of her juice.

“Very bad you know how my father tricked me in that internship. I'm still mad at him for that. And your very dear best friend made my life more miserable. I was praying to god when this thing will get over” I blurted out everything I was holding till now.

"Feeling better she asked, still laughing at my reaction. 

“Laugh as much as you want. When your turn will come. I'm also going to laugh at you so much” I said while giving her death glares and then I started laughing with her.

“God I missed you so much,” she said to me. I'm sure she missed all my nagging about Jack and my dad. I missed laughing with her.

“Jane, do you have bugs in your room?” I asked her while pointing to her neck.

“What, no why are you asking. Is there a bug on my clothes?” she asked while dusting her clothes near her neck.

It looks more like a hickey to me but I'm going to tease her more. From her reaction, I knew she didn't have a single clue that she had a big bright hickey on her neck. She has a boyfriend now and she didn't even tell me. 

“But you have something like a bug bite on your neck. It's bright red. Do I know that big?” I asked her with mischievousness in my voice. Her face turned red after realizing that she forgot to hide it. 

“It's nothing, something must have happened to my skin,” she said in embarrassment while covering it with her hair.

“Your face is red like a tomato. Now come on tell me who is the bug” I said while laughing hard after seeing her red face.

“Nina shut up,” she said with a flushed face, and then she too started laughing hard with me. She knew I was teasing her. Her face now was totally red like a tomato. From her facial expressions, I knew she was cursing that person who did that to her. 

“What you wanted to tell me earlier,” I asked her, remembering she told me she wants to talk about something. I was still laughing while taking a sip of water.

“I'm getting married,” she said bluntly. I spilled all the water out of my mouth.

“What?” I asked with a shocked face. Laughter completely vanished from my face. She sighed in displeasure and took a deep breath looking at my shocked face. She knew I would react like that. She took one more deep breath like gathering her courage then she explained everything to me. “If I see that bug. I'm gonna kick his arrogant ass. How dare he say those harsh words to you” I said fuming in anger.

How can he say such hateful words to her? I need to treat his brain with my fist. 

Poor Jane, she had seen so many dreams for her future. Anyone must think she had made absurd decisions. Why is she ready to let go of her dream but for Jane, her family comes first before anything. She has her reasons to say yes and I no one to judge her.

“Why Jane, you have to get in a trap like me,” I signed in frustration.

She nodded at me with teary eyes. I nodded back with little tears in my eyes with a small encouraging smile. Jane must look delicate and fragile but she is one of the strongest people I know. I understand how she is feeling. Now she must be thinking the whole world is against her and her alone against them. So I need to stand behind her as her solid support system. I won't let her alone in this hard time.

We both are caught up in a situation where we can get out even if we want to. We are fighting this battle so we could make things better. She is fighting for a family and I'm fighting for the family too. Our situation seems similar but the things for which we both are struggling are so different so opposite. 

I stood up and went to hug her tightly. “Forget it, the damage is done. There is no use of crying over spilled milk. Come let's go. We need to have some fun. Today girls day and night” I said to her to cheer up her mood. She smiled at me.

“Are you not tired because of the flight?” she asked me. I'm a little bit tired because of not getting proper sleep but I can do this for Jane. She is more important to me.

“No, come let's go we have lots to do,” I said while interwinding my arm with mine. 

“Ok,” she said to me while smiling.

We went to my apartment because I don't want to go to my house because I'm still mad at dad. To be more precise my big mansion where only dad and I live. We were never able to leave that place because we have so many memories there. Taking a deep breath I moved my eyes all over my apartment. I have lots of memories of these places with Jane.

“How much I missed these places,” Jane said while making herself comfortable on the couch.

“Me too,” I said from the kitchen.

“Do we need to buy some foodstuff?” she asked me.

“No, yesterday I called my house butler to clean and refill all the food items,” I said while searching for something to drink in the fridge.

“Hmm, that's why the place looks clean.”

She said while looking all over the apartment. I got changed into my comfortable pajamas. Jane changed too. Her phone was ringing continuously.  

“Jane comes fast, the movie has started,” I shouted,  while she was staring at her cell phone. She came. Running to me asking which movie we are watching.

We didn't realize that the sun had fallen down. We watched three movies in a row. Playing games talked about everything. “We should order some food,” I said to her when my stomach started to ask for food. 

“Yeah, I'm hungry order fast” she replied we ordered pizza. After like fifteen minutes the doorbell rang. “Wait, I'll go and get it,” she said to me.

“Ok I'll go and get something to drink,” I said and left for the kitchen. Opening the fridge I saw there were many soft drinks so I took out the bottle of Coca-Cola and grabbed some plates too. 

I came back to the room but jane was still not there 

What is taking Jane for so long? 

I heard her angry voice coming from the door. Who she is taking so much. I kept all the things on the table and moved to look at what was going on, reaching near her. I heard her angry voice again. 

“I don't remember giving you permission to stay,” I heard a commanding voice. 

“I don't need your permission, ”  Jane said in anger.

I saw Zanvil the devil was standing there and commanding her. 

Who is he to command her like that. She doesn't need his permission to do anything. I just need to kick his arrogant controlling ass. 

He was about to say something to her but I jumped in “Oh bug is here” my sarcastic voice snapped them out of their argument. “What are you doing here Adam's?” I asked him in my demanding tone. He shifted his eyes from Jane to me. His face was telling me that he didn't like my middling. If he doesn't like it he can get the hell out of my house. I just flash him my smirking smile to piss him off more.  

“Shut up Rogers,” he said to me while narrowing his sea-colored eyes at me. I was about to answer him back when I heard the most annoying voice in this world. I pinched my nose bridge to control my anger. 

“Why the hell is there no parking in these dam buildings,” he said, increasing my annoyance even more. “Dude you should have waited for me till I parked the car,” Jack said in annoyance, making me open my eyes and look at him with a fire burning inside my pupil's. “Hello Jane,” he said to her. Then his eyes moved lazily and landed on me. Looking at his smirking face which was saying I win you lose. I lost my temper in that very second.

His smirking face, actually his existence on this planet, was making my mood foul. I stared back into his light brown eyes with my fuming eyes. I looked at him and smirked. “Jane, have you heard that poem?” I asked her while still staring at Jack with a clenched jaw.

“Roses are red

Violets are blue

If I had a brick

I'd throw it at you.”

I said while smirking and looking straight at Jack's face. Listening to me his jaw clenched that cocky victory smirk slipped from his face making me do a happy dance inside my brain.  

Jane was trying to suppress her laughter after listening to me. Jack shooted her a glance. His eyes were accusing her of taking my side. Face it Jack the asshole she is my best friend stop claiming her as your best front. Jane tried to stop laughing but she was not able to. 

“Jane, have you heard that poem?” Jack said in his mocking toner while still staring at me.

“Rose are red

Violets are blue

Face like yous

Belong to zoo

Don't be sad

I'll be there too

Not in cage

But laughing at you."

Jack said while glaring at me, making me look at him with angry eyes. Looking at my reaction his smirk has widened even more.

I heard a chuckle from the devil. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Jane trying to suppress her laughter. I gave her death glare. She hurriedly went to check her phone after looking at my annoyed face to avoid my wrath. I averted my eyes from her to Jack the jackass who was still enjoying this victory. 

How dare he come here to show me his stupid face. How I want to kill him with my bare hands. Does he think I will let him go that easily after he dirtily manipulated our deal?

I was about to grab pate and throw it at the stupid satan so his skull breaks open but before I could do it Jane comes running to me and said in her excited voice "guess who is coming."

"Who," I asked but I still didn't look at her and kept on finding better points to aim and throw a plate at his skull.

"Skylar is coming," she said in her super excited voice.

“What,” I asked in my shocked excited voice breaking my death glare competition. She gave her known smile 

“What is he really coming?” I asked in excitement.

“Yes,” she replied in the same excitement. We started dancing happily.

“Shit” we heard boys saying it in a union. We turned our faces to meet there. Both were standing with clenched jaws.

The Colour from their faces was a drain. Looking at their pissed faces, Jane and I smile at each other, sharing a meaningful glance. 

The fun has now started….
