Beautiful
"UGH! JESUS! CAMILA PLEASE COME! FUCK!" The pain is more intense than anything I've ever felt.
"What's wrong- oh! Come, come Harley we must get you in the car to the hospital! Come with me!" She grabs my arm to steady me, and we stumble out of the bathroom. My inner thighs are wet, jesus christ my water broke. She practically drags me out into the garage, sitting me carefully down onto the passenger seat, then goes to grab the keys.
"The blue keys, Camila! Grab the blue ones!" She does what I say, then runs back to the car, stabbing them into the engine. We're off. She's driving carefully, but as fast as she can. The pain is getting worse. I try to work against my muscles, which are intent on pushing the babies out now. "Drive Camila! Faster!" She steps on the accelerator. I close my eyes. Breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out.
"Hurry Harley, we're here!" I open my eyes. We're right in front of the hospital. I fumble with the handle, then get it open, stepping out of the car into the air, my hands gripping my belly. "Come, Harley, come!" In a second, Camila's by my side, and we're running inside. The place is busy, but the attention is on my sweating face in less than a second. Someone grabs me, a doctor, and helps me onto a hospital bed, wheeling me down the hall. Camila is running by my side, holding the other side of the bed as it's rolled down into another room. He parks it, then motions to two midwives standing by another bed, talking to another woman.
"Nurse Hall, Nurse Jones, come here and help me with this lady." They come rushing over and he draws a blue curtain around us, separating me from Camila. The nurses pull down my skirt and underwear and throw a blue towel over my thighs, then slide my legs back so I'm fully exposed. In any other situation I would be embarrassed, but right now I was just grateful. "What's your name?" It's the doctor, his gloves on, peering right down my legs with only a technical eye.
"Harley." I gasp.
"Alright, Harley. On the count of three, I want you to push. Ok?" I nod. "One, two, three!" I push, my muscles squeezing automatically. I grind my teeth, sweat now running down my legs, my armpits, my face.
"Again. One, two, three!" I push as hard as I can, and this time something gives, just a little. He repeats. Again, and again and again and again. "You're doing so well, Harley. One more push. I can see the head. Come on!" I push as hard as I can, and I can feel the pressure release. The Doctor pulls out a child the rest of the way out of me, and hands it to one of the nurses. "Ok, Harley. There's a second head. You're having twins." I don't respond, just push as hard as I can. I should be tired by now but there's too much adrenaline rushing through me. "Alright Harley, I've got a hold. One last push, Harley. Three, two, one!" I strain my neck and push. He pulls the next baby out, and hands it to the nurse. "Ok, you're fine Harley, you're fine. Just lay there for a minute. We'll get you and your babies cleaned up." He rushes away and I drop my legs, exhausted. I'm drenched in sweat and I can hear a baby, my baby, crying.
"Are they ok?" I manage, and a nurse hurries over, clutching some wet towels.
"They're fine honey. A boy and a girl. They'll be ready in a minute but I need to clean you up for now." I lie back and shut my eyes as she clears away the sheets, the towel, and wipes the blood away from the inside of my thighs.
"Thanks." I say, and she nods. "You were a fast one. Around half an hour, that's quick. Some women go for three hours or more." I grin, hair plastered to my neck and face. I wouldn't be able to last for three hours like that.
"Harley!" I recognise the tortured shout instantly. The Joker. He rushes in, barging through the blue curtain and stops when he sees me.
"J" I wheeze. "You're here." He runs forward and grabs my hand.
"Are you ok? Are they ok? What happened? Camila called me ten minutes ago. I know I should have been there-" I smile.
"It's fine, J. We're all fine." The doctor comes, holding a screaming blue bundle. The nurse, comes behind him, holding a pink bundle, cooing at the baby. I hold my arms out, and the nurse plants the girl into my arms. She's beautiful, big brown eyes and a tuft of blonde hair.
"It's unusual, for a baby." I look up, at the nurse. "Brown eyes and blonde hair. It's unusual. She's a beautiful baby, Harley. Congratulations." I grin and look back down at the gurgling girl in my arms.
"Sorry there wasn't time for introductions. I'm Doctor Jackson. Is this...?" He looks quizzically at the Joker.
"Yes. He's my...husband."
"Ok. Here's your baby boy." He comes up beside me and places the screaming baby in the crook of my other arm. They are completely different. The boy is screaming, and has a tuft of brown hair.
"Come, on, honey." I coo. "Open your eyes." He quiets down, and blinks. I smile. He's got his father's bright blue eyes.
"Do you have any names planned? We'll have to put them on the birth certificates." I look at the pair of them, so different from each other; the blonde, brown eyed gurgling girl and the crying brown haired, blue eyed boy. The names came, instantly.
"He's Harry, and she's Joy. Harry and Joy." I smile, and they both smile back up at me.

WOOHOO! Yes guys that was the end of Harley Quinn and The Joker. To be honest I know absolutely NOTHING about pregnancy and birth so I hope this chapter and the last was even a little bit accurate. We've been through a lot with these characters and I'm glad you guys came along for the ride with me :) I would just like to give a shoutout to:
