A/N WARNING references to rape after the divider

Alex and Eliza ran through the rain hand in hand, Alex's hood pulled up over his face and Eliza's hair creating a curtain to hide hers. They ducked around a corner and threw themselves back against the wall, panting heavily and clutching at the wet bricks as they tried to catch their breath.

Eliza started to laugh. Alex glanced at her and his heart swelled finally seeing her happy.
"That was the most, rebellious, badass shit I've ever done!" Eliza giggled. Alex gasped and brought a hand to his chest.
"Miss Schuyler you kiss your daddy with that mouth?"

Eliza laughed harder, sinking to the ground, her dark hair clinging to her cheeks and framing her pale features, soft pink lips drawn up into a smile brighter than the sun. Alex smiled too and slid down the wall beside her.
"They'd be here by now yeah?" Eliza muttered, glancing up at Alex.
"Unless they came back for us, which I'm hoping they didn't, they're well into New York," Alex spoke with a nod.

"We should find them soon, you saw the state John was in didn't you?" Eliza muttered, her eyes brimmed with concern. Alex nodded solemnly.
"I hope he's doing okay, the boys will be looking out for him," Alex sighed hopefully.
"And Maria," Eliza added with a weak smile.
"And Maria," Alex chuckled sheepishly. "She's a bit of a handful,"

"She's been through a lot, I admire her for her resilience," Eliza smiled softly, her cheeks warming up a little.
"Oh don't get me wrong, she is very strong and definitely an... inspiration, she can just get a bit 'handsy', y'know," Alex cringed, Eliza staring at him blankly. "Promiscuous?"

"Right, sure," Eliza muttered with an understanding nod. "But I mean who wouldn't want to bang her?"
"Elizabeth Schuyler!" Alex exclaimed with a hysterical laugh, shoving her shoulder as she giggled uncontrollably.
"I'm not sorry!" Eliza smirked, shoving Alex back. "C'mon we should keep moving,"

Eliza stood up and held out her hand for Alex, pulling him up with a big swing of momentum. Alex pulled the drawstrings on his hoodie a little tighter before grabbing Eliza's hand again. They walked through the rain, Alex jumping a little and squeezing Eliza's hand every time a roll of thunder boomed above him. It sounded like gunshots and took him back to places he didn't want to go.

As they were walking something caught Eliza's eye and she froze, turning to Alex with wide, hopeful eyes.
"Alex, do you know Jefferson's number?"

"Sadly, why?" Alex muttered, looking around to try and find what had sparked the question for Eliza. She didn't reply, instead tugging him across the street to a public phone box.
"Got any coins?" Eliza grinned, opening the door and stepping in.
"All I've got is a lollipop," Alex frowned with a defeated sigh. Eliza furrowed her brows and scoped out their surroundings before she got an idea.
"Pass it," Eliza muttered, holding out her hand.

"I opened handcuffs with a lollipop stick but you can't hack a telephone with one," Alex deadpanned.
"I'm not you goof, just pass it here," Eliza rolled her eyes, shoving her hand forward again.

Alex sighed and dug into his pocket, bringing out the lollipop and dropping it in Eliza's palm.
"Wait here," she smiled, stepping out of the booth. Alex sighed and watched on from where he stood.

Eliza crossed the road and entered a café across the street, making her way up to the counter. There a little boy was attempting to order something from the cake case but was too short to be seen over the counter. Eliza approached him and crouched down, beginning to talk to him.

At first the boy was reluctant to converse with Eliza but eventually he timidly reached out and handed over his money, talking to Eliza as he did. Eliza nodded with a warm smile and stood up, ringing the bell and buying a slice of chocolate cake for the boy. He smiled excitedly and Eliza gave it to him along with his change.
He turned to leave but she stopped him, retrieving the lollipop and holding it out, speaking with a smile. The boy stared at the lollipop for a second before grinning and nodding eagerly. He dropped his change back into Eliza's hand and she gave him the lollipop. Done deal.

She waved him off with a smile before making her way back across the street, smirking at Alex.
"Like giving candy to a baby," Eliza smiled, shaking her fist accompanied by the jingle of coins.
"You're good with kids," Alex chuckled as she popped the necessary amount of coins into the machine.
"I want kids one day," she smiled softly with a small nod.
"You'd be a great mom," Alex smiled warmly at Eliza before turning to dial Thomas' number.

"I hope so," Eliza spoke softly with a small shrug.
"I know so," Alex smiled, reaching forward to delicately brush Eliza's hair behind her ear.

"Hello, who is this?" Thomas' obnoxious voice crackled through the phone.
"Thomas! It's Alex!" Alex grinned, jumping away from Eliza.
"Alex? Where are yo-" Thomas didn't get to finish because there was a yelp on the other end then a string of swearing and muffled static as the phone was fought over.
"ALEX HOLY SHIT!" John yelled into the phone, gripping it for dear life with shaking hands.

"John," Alex breathed into the phone with a smile. "Hey babe,"
"W-Where are you are you okay I'm so sorry I tried to go back-" John exclaimed quickly into the phone until Alex cut him off with a weak chuckle.
"Hey I'm fine, Eliza and I are on the outskirts of New York," Alex smiled at Eliza. "Bronx, Riverdale to be exact,"

John leaned away from the phone to repeat that information to the rest of the group.
"We're coming to get you," John beamed excitedly. "Call again in 20 minutes okay?"

"Okay, I love you," Alex hummed into the phone with a smile.
"I love you too,"

Levi chuckled quietly as he looked back at him.
"That wasn't too bad now, was it, sweetheart?" He smirked, slipping his shirt back on. "You didn't have to resist,"

Sam turned away and pressed his forehead against the wall, drawing his knees up to his chest, his body shaking with sobs.
"Aw Sammy," Levi chuckled, stepping closer before George grabbed his shoulder.

"You've had your fun," he muttered. Levi turned to glare at George, ripping his shoulder away and stalking off.
"Let me know when you want to have round two," Levi called out with a malicious cackle as he sauntered out of the solitary confinement cell, leaving his shirt unbuttoned.

George stood in the doorway watching Sam with a frown.
"W-what d-do you want?" Sam stammered between sobs, convulsing tighter against the wall.

George didn't say a word. He simply stepped forward, slowly reaching up and unbuttoning his own shirt.
Sam looked up at him with horrified eyes, scrambling backwards with a whimper.
"N-no- please-" he cried, his hands and cheeks wet with tears.

"No no I'm not-" George quickly defended, raising his hands quickly. The cell fell silent with the exception of Sam's heavy breathing, every now and then a small sniffle too.
George cautiously returned his hands to his shirt and continued unbuttoning it, slipping it off.

He took a step forward, Sam flinching and trembling. He paused, taking a moment to let Sam calm down before he came closer, coming to stand right in front of him.
He lifted the shirt and draped it over Sam's shoulders with a sympathetic frown.

Sam's bloodshot eyes flickered up to meet George's before he shifted his gaze back down in shame, scrunching his face up as another round of sobs began to shake his body.
"I'm sorry," George muttered, reaching forward to touch Sam but he snapped away, clutching the shirt around himself for dear life.

George released a shaky sigh and stepped back, turning and exiting the cell, closing the door behind himself and leaving Sam
alone.
