Alex stepped out from behind the crates of alcohol and boxes of clothes, clad in ripped black jeans, a large floppy grey hoodie and a denim jacket over the top, flipping the hood of the jumper up over the jacket with a grin.
"How do I look?" He smirked, doing a little spin for John.
John threw his head back and laughed, shaking his head and walking towards Alex.
"Handsome as always," he smirked. "The ripped jeans are badass," he giggled, wrapping his arms around Alex's waist.
Alex laughed and wrapped his arms around John's neck.
"The bandana is cute," He smiled, patting the fabric holding John's hair out of his face. John chuckled, kissing Alex's cheek. "And the flannel is a nice touch, who's idea was that?" He added sarcastically as he looped his fingers around the red flannel tied around John's hips.
"Yours," John laughed, kissing his nose. "You dork, you wanna grab some dinner?" He asked sweetly, swaying with Alex in his arms.
"I am staaarving!" Alex sang with a laugh, slipping out of John's embrace and taking his hand, leaving the others to continue choosing outfits with Liz as they made their way out to the bar.
When they arrived the bar was empty besides Eliza perched on a barstool with Maria standing behind the counter preparing food, Adi sitting up on the stage running a sound check for the night ahead.
"Where did everybody- woah." Alex muttered when Maria strutted out from behind the counter and Eliza spun around on the stool.
Maria was in a pair of tiny, dark denim shorts and a black silky bralette with a matching silk choker, fish net tights winding down her legs into skinny black heeled boots. The outfit was finished off with a puffy red bomber jacket, the Revolt's emblem embroided on the back.
Eliza wore a cropped white skin-tight long-sleeved top and black leggings, black ankle boots with gold studs and a flannel identical to John's tied around her waist, only hers was blue instead of red.
"You guys are on fire," John grinned, admiring their outfits.
"It's an an improvement," Maria smirked, leaning down on the counter slowly and eying John carefully.
Alex tightened his grip on John and tugged him behind the bar without another word, causing John to laugh a little.
"You do know I would never go there, even if I was straight," he whispered under his breath just loud enough for Alex to catch.
"But she would." he mumbled with a dark glare, pulling him over to the fridge to scope out the drinks.
"Wedges boys?" Maria grinned, dusting seasoning over the boxes of wedges she had just prepared. John spun around with an eager grin.
"Yes please!" he exclaimed with a smile. "Lex can you grab me a beer," he asked sweetly as Alex tugged the fridge open.
Alex nodded and grabbed John's beer and a lemon lime and bitters for himself, walking around the bar to hop on a stool beside Eliza. They made small talk about what Alex had missed while Maria and John fixed up enough fresh hot wedges for everyone.
As Maria walked behind John, she brushed her hand along his waist without a second glance, pushing him up against the counter gently.
John tensed and snapped around. He shot her a dangerous glare, causing her to step back with her hands up in defense and a guilty grin dancing on her lips.
"Not funny," he growled quietly, her smile dropping abruptly.
"Sorry, I wasn't gonna' try nothing," she mumbled, sauntering off to get back to work. John shook his head and turned back to dishing up, Alex's eyes flickering up worriedly.
John slid a large box of wedges to Eliza and one to Alex before he walked around the bar, pulling a bar stool closer to Alex and sitting on the other side of him. John cracked open his beer and took a long swig, sighing with delight.
"Too long, it's been too long," he laughed, bringing the bottle to his lips once more.
Soon James and Thomas emerged with Liz, coming to sit with them and grab some early dinner.
"You lot better eat up, this place is packed by 5," Liz warned with a gentle laugh, jumping up on stage to tune her guitar. The crew took her advice and finished up right as people began flowing through the doors, clad in denim and tattoos. Liz played a few gentle songs through the bar as it filled up, and John finished his bottle, moving onto his second with a mischievous grin.
"Not too much, okay? You haven't drunk in over a year," Alex warned with a small laugh.
"I can take my alcohol Alex, trust me," John snickered playfully. Soon Adi and Liz were kicking it up a notch, the lights dimming in the bar and people making their way up to the stage laughing and dancing. A sturdy bass began pumping through the speakers and John grabbed Alex's hands, tugging him off the barstool.
"Come dance with me," he smirked playfully, swinging his arms around to the pulse of the music as Liz went out with her guitar, Adi beginning to sing, Wild Thoughts.
"I d-don't dance John," Alex laughed nervously, following John reluctantly.
"You do tonight!" He yelled over the music, tugging Alex over to the dance floor. It wasn't fast, fist pumping rave, the vibe was more chill and sensual, Adi's delicate voice gliding through the air.
John slipped his hands down Alex's silhouette, holding his hips and laughing as he danced up against Alex.
When I'm with you all I get is wild thoughts.
Liz smashed out the guitar solo and Alex smiled, wrapping his arms around John's neck and grinding up against him to the music. John threw his head back laughing before gazing back down at Alex and slipping his hands under his jacket, pulling him closer. Alex slipped a hand over John's jaw and pulled his face down, connecting their lips fairly roughly. Alex could taste the alcohol on John's tongue as John's hands slid down his body and gripped his ass.
Alex gasped a little and John giggled against his lips. Alex broke his lips away and leaned his lips up to John's ear.
"Maybe we should take this back to our room," Alex hummed before leaving gentle kisses down John's jaw.
"That works for me," John smirked huskily, kissing Alex's lips one more time. He grabbed Alex's hand and tugged him off the designated dance floor, down to the bar. Nathaniel was there now, standing behind the bar teaching Sam the basics of bar-tending.
"Hey how's Laf?" John slurred slightly, Alex leaning against the bar as John hugged him from behind, his chin resting on Alex's shoulder.
"He's well, just resting it off, he had a shit load of painkillers," Nathaniel grinned, running a cloth inside a beer glass as he spoke. "Here for a drink?"
"No but thanks, we're looking for our room," Alex smiled, John's hands trailing down to the hem of Alex's pants. Alex slapped his hands away with a slight growl.
"Right," Nathaniel laughed, walking to the cash register and opening the draw underneath. He retrieved a key and slid it across the table to the boys, a keychain with the number 2 hanging off of it. "Just head outside, next door there'll be a ring of rooms with a little pool in the middle, number 2," he smiled with a curt nod.
"Thanks!" John giggled, rolling off of Alex's back and grabbing his hand, whipping him to the side hastily. Alex squeaked and John tugged him outside with a smile. They ran into the motel section, spotting door number 2 and running there hand in hand, laughing like rebellious teenagers.
Alex quickly unlocked the door and threw it open, slipping inside with John. As soon as they were in John slammed the door shut and pressed Alex up against it in a passionate kiss, grinding up against him slowly and holding his hip in one hand and his jaw in the other. Alex gasped and moaned quietly, John pressing him against the door harder.
"What do you want, Alex?" John breathed with a smirk, pulling away and licking his lips.
"I want you John,"
