At the Compound, Hayley vamp-sped into the room and shoved Freya into the nearby column, instantly knocking her out while Ophelia followed in soon after. And unlike Hayley, who looked furious, Ophelia held no emotion in the expression on her face.

Jackson looked up at the duo in surprise, but then became even more concerned when he realized that they were covered in blood, especially Ophelia, who seemed to be drenched in it from head to toe.

"Where the hell is that bastard?" Hayley asked Jackson angrily, growling under her breath.

Jackson was gaping worriedly at Hayley as she stood in front of him and did it even more as Ophelia walked over to stand beside her, "Ophelia, what happened?" He asked his wife concerned, noticing the looks on both women's faces.

Suddenly, Klaus entered the room and greeted Hayley, "Hayley," He greeted the mother of his child smugly, "Come to apologize for all your transgressions?"

At the sound of his voice, Hayley turned to face Klaus, "I've seen you've brought Ophelia back home with you," He paused, smirking at Hayley, "Good. I was starting to worry."

Angered, Hayley began to rush toward Klaus aggressively, "Do you have any idea what you have taken from me?" She growled, throwing a punch at him, which he quickly dodged before grabbing her arm and twisting it behind her back.

Hayley screamed out in pain before she broke out of his hold easily by kicking him backward in the gut. She spun and roundhouse-kicked him in the face.

Jackson, who was furious at Klaus and the at the fact that Ophelia seemed to be just standing there, twisted the chains around his wrists to try to break free.

"The very thing you sought to take from me--the chance to raise our daughter," Klaus told Hayley, walking closer to her, "Your punishment fits your crime."

"Your family was ruining her life!" Hayley screamed at Klaus, "Just like it ruined Ophelia!"

Klaus, angered at the fact that Hayley had mentioned both Ophelia and Hope in a negative way, vamp-sped toward Hayley and pinned her in a choke-hold against a nearby table, causing her to gasp for breath, "My family saved their lives while you were off playing hide-and-seek in the forest!"

Jackson, his yellow eyes flashing, broke one of the chains binding him to the wall, just as Freya started to stir awake after being knocked out by Hayley just moments before.

Hayley headbutted Klaus in the face, causing his nose to bleed. Finally snapping out of whatever trance-like state she was, Ophelia glanced at Klaus and Hayley before rushing over to Jackson. She helped her husband break the other chain, completely freeing him.

Realizing that it was about to get ugly if Jackson and Ophelia took part in the fight as well, Freya casted a spell to keep them unable to intervene, "Let us go! He'll kill her!" Jackson pleaded, wanting to help the woman who became known as one of his closest friends after marrying Ophelia.

"He'll kill you and punish Ophelia while doing so," Freya frantically told him, using her magic to hold them back.

"There's a very short list of people who've tried to take Hope away from me, and you're the only one left breathing," Klaus shouted at Hayley angrily.

"Are you that delusional, Klaus?" Hayley raised her voice to him, clearly enraged, "You cursed all of us! You even tried to curse Ophelia, the woman you 'supposedly' love. Every wolf that she and I fought for, everyone that stood up for our daughter. You took all of them away from their families!"

"Yes, yes, Ophelia's precious pack, that family you chose over us while Ophelia chose us, and in doing so, you chose over Hope!" Klaus shouted, pointing up to the second floor where Hope was upstairs in the study, sleeping in the playpen.

Hayley stared at Klaus in disbelief, "Is that what you were planning on telling her when she got older and asked for me? That I abandoned her?"

Hayley, even more furious than anyone had ever seen her, broke an end-table and used the broken leg as a stake as she lunged for Klaus. However, Klaus took the stake and threw it aside, watching frustratedly as Hayley jumped high into the air onto the staircase railing, which she used as leverage to jump onto the balcony.

She leaped over to where Klaus had appeared and started punching him, which he dodged at vampire speed. Finally, she started to angrily shove him in the chest, pushing him backward as she yelled furiously at him, "My parents left me! Yours turned their backs on you! Look at us now, Klaus!"

She continued hitting him hard in the chest, but Klaus, suddenly stricken by the realization of what he had done, could do nothing but stare in horror at her as she screamed in frustration.

Suddenly, Elijah returned home, quick to try and intervene from below, "Niklaus!" He shouted out.

Hayley ignored Elijah and continued to shove Klaus in the chest, "She deserves something better than what we had, and all I have ever wanted for her is something better!"

Klaus continued to stand there silently, which only made Hayley more frustrated, "Fight back! Fight back!" She screamed at him.

Klaus' eyes widened as he noticed something behind her, and when Hayley turned around, she found Hope slowly toddling over to them on the balcony, having heard the fight and became curious as to what was happening. Hayley's mouth opened in shock, and a wave of guilt washed over her face as she covered her mouth with her hand in horror.

Below, Elijah, Freya, Ophelia, and Jackson watched sadly from the ground floor of the courtyard, "Ohh," Hayley gasped quietly, "She's walking. When did she start walking?"

Klaus and the others remained silent, and Hayley looked as though she was on the brink of breaking down as she slowly walked toward her daughter. She finally picked up Hope, too overwhelmed to remember she was covered in blood. She started to cry as Hope cooed in her arms, "I missed it," She admitted quietly, "I missed everything."

Hayley kissed Hope's cheek as Freya, Jackson, Ophelia, and Elijah continued to watch sadly from the courtyard. Behind her, Klaus was looking tearful as well, and seemed to be guilty and ashamed of what he's done, something Ophelia had been trying to get him to feel for months.

Moments later, Hayley walked down the steps with Hope, and Klaus followed slowly behind her. Finally, Freya had broken the shackles from Jackson's wrists, and as soon as she was finished, he and Ophelia rushed toward Hayley and Hope, "What happened? Is the curse broken?" Jackson asked both Hayley and Ophelia, glancing between them.

"We'll explain later," Ophelia responded, sharing a look with Hayley, "Let's just say, you guys are safe...At least, for now."

"Good for you," Klaus spoke up politely, "I'll have Hayley's bedroom made up."

Ophelia turned to Klaus, letting out a sigh at his poor actions.

Hayley glared at Klaus, her eyes full of hate, "The only way that I will stay under your roof is if I'm in a coffin."

"If you think I will allow Hope out of my protection for a second--" Klaus began to tell her, but was quickly cut off by Hayley.

"What you'll allow doesn't matter, Klaus. Welcome to a 21st century custody battle," Hayley responded in a stern tone, "Moms win them now."

Ophelia and Elijah shared a glance with each other, clearly wanting to prevent another fight. Ophelia gave him a pleading look and soon after,  Elijah spoke up to interrupt, "If I may?" He questioned, "The apartments across the street have recently been renovated. I might pay a visit to the management." He paused, turning to Klaus, who was clearly unhappy, and glared at him, "The fact that Hope will never be out of earshot should assuage your incessant paranoia."

"So we are to listen as my daughter is raised by savages?" Klaus asked Elijah with an attitude, clearly not liking the idea.

Jackson scoffed loudly, "Because everyone here is so civilized?"

Klaus angrily glared at Jackson, which led to Ophelia speaking up, "Klaus, you gotta remember, you created the problem. This might as well be the solution." She spoke up, taking Elijah's side.

Hayley turned to look at both Ophelia and Elijah gratefully and nodded, "Put the place in Jackson's name." She paused, turning to look at Klaus before glaring at him, "Klaus won't be invited in."

Klaus scowled in anger at this news, but he said nothing as Hayley, Hope, and Jackson walked away.

The action that ended up causing him to say something was when Ophelia turned away as well, beginning to follow the group of three out.

Klaus took a step forward, a frown on his face, "What do you think you're doing?" He questioned her in concerned.

Ophelia sighed, turning to face Klaus, "Going with them. Duh." She replied, turning away from him once more.

"Don't you dare walk away!" Klaus shouted at Ophelia, only to have the female tribrid ignore his demand and continue to walk away.

_____

Since Hayley had been already invited in when she and Jackson began to bring all of their belongings into the apartment while Ophelia had a talk with Elijah about the problems at hand, Ophelia was the only one to not have been invited in out of the trio.

Walking in with Ophelia, Jackson unlocked the door and walked in, but Ophelia stopped in the threshold, unable to enter due to being part vampire.

After a moment, Ophelia cleared her throat awkwardly, causing Jackson to turn to his wife. Smiling, Jackson chuckled at Ophelia, "Oh, sorry! Come on in."

Formally invited, Ophelia was finally able to follow him in. She glanced around to see that apartment was small and full of boxes of their things, along with the crib Jackson made for Hope. The group had decided that they would all live together. Even though she spent most of her time with the Mikaelsons, Ophelia wanted to live with Hayley to make sure everything was okay. And since Ophelia was there, Jackson came along with her, seeing as though they were husband and wife.

"Not as luxurious as the Palace Royale, but..." She trailed off, a smile on her face.

"Eh, we'll make it a good home, Ophelia," He assured Ophelia, turning to face her, only to see the look on her face, one that was almost unreadable, "What?"

Ophelia smiled back at him as flashbacks of the several dozen people she had killed in his absence, "I just missed you." She replied, walking over to her bag.

She pulled out the jewelry box Elijah had given her earlier on and handed it to him after she walked over to stand next to him, "These were found in the junkyard."

Jackson opened the box, revealing their wedding rings and the necklace that Jackson gave Ophelia on their wedding day, "I must have lost them while running from Dahlia and Klaus."

Jackson removed Ophelia's ring from the box and set the latter aside before placing the ring on Ophelia's left ring finger. He then took a step toward her and kissed her, leading Ophelia to wrap her arms around his neck and embrace him while they make out, "Well, it seems you've saved us, Ophelia. Again.

"Mm," Ophelia hummed in response, "Well, or now. Davina maybe technically my adoptive daughter and all but I know for a fact she's not gonna let us forget she's the reason why we're here. Our freedom comes with a price, remember that."

"Everything does in this town," Jackson reminded her, "But, the worst is over, and so just for today, why don't you let me take care of you for a change, huh?" He paused, placing a hand over her growing baby bump, causing Ophelia to smile up at him.

"Okay. Maybe just this once." She jokingly responded before the couple began to kiss once more.

"I love you," Jackson told Ophelia as he pulled away from the kiss for a brief moment.

"I love you, too," Ophelia replied after a moment, a smile on her face.

At the Mikaelson compound, Klaus could see the couple from the balcony in his study, leading to him scowling through their window from his bedroom, a nearly-empty glass of bourbon in his hand.

Unhappy at the sight of Ophelia with Jackson, he turned away and walked back into his room. Klaus ended up becoming so angry that he squeezed his fist closed, causing the glass to shatter in his hands.

AN: Oof jealous Klaus is a hot Klaus 😂
