13 - A Party Invitation
Jeon Yeseul let out an exhausted groan as she rubbed her eyes, remembering absolutely nothing from the previous night.
As she glanced at her attire, she realised that she was still dressed in her jeans and jumper, only her socks and shoes taken off, placed near the door. Her hair was a tangled mess, and her make-up was still there.
Then, it hit her.
A flush crawled up the girl's cheeks as the memories of the night began to slowly creep back into her mind. How she had stumbled onto Jeongin, and called him cute and told him how much she loved his hair and his eyes and his cheeks, and his lips...
His lips!
She clapped a hand to her mouth as she faintly recollected the moment where both of their lips had met.
Scrambling out of the covers, Yeseul rushed into the living room only to see the guardian angel smiling at her awakened state, a mug of warm coffee in his hand.
"Morning," He greeted, although there was a humorous tone in his voice. "Did you sleep well? There's a few painkillers over there, and some water. I figured that you might need it after last night,"
"R-Right," Yeseul spluttered, and she was sure that her cheeks were still a vibrant pink. "I'll um, I'll just go to the bathroom,"
Stumbling out of the room, Yeseul left the Yang boy alone, who was laughing at her frantic state, sure that she had begun to remember the events of the previous evening, although he had to admit, it was one that he would be keeping in his own mind.
...
Breakfast was peaceful, however, there was a slight bit of awkwardness as the two clattered their spoons in their bowls, hungrily digging into the rice that had been served.
"J-Jeongin," Yeseul was the first to break the silence. "I apologise if I did some - some stupid things last night. I wasn't in the right state, and I hope that I didn't make you feel uncomfortable,"
"You didn't," He answered, much to her relief. "Apart from when we, ah, met lips,"
At the mention of that particular incident, Yeseul froze. "I'm sorry," She whispered. "I never knew I was clingy when I was drunk,"
"You've never been out to drink before?" The Yang boy asked curiously.
"Iseul... didn't let me," The girl replied, softly. "He wouldn't let me go out that much either. That's why I asked permission yesterday, it's just a habit,"
At the mention of the ex boyfriend, a frown twitched upon the boy's face, a dark expression. "He's not the boss of you," He growled. "Nobody is, you should be able to have the freedom to do the things you like, and no-one should ever stop you,"
Yeseul smiled, gently. "Thank you, Jeongin. That means a lot,"
"Ah, that reminds me," The angel leaned back in his seat. "Chan hyung told me that... that Hyunjin hyung wants to have dinner together tonight, and I was wondering if you could come with me?"
"Me? But, don't you guys want to catch up?" It was Yeseul's turn to frown. "I'd just be in the way,"
"No you wouldn't," He said, firmly. "I really want them to meet you, and don't worry about the demons doing anything, they aren't quite like that and even if they did try anything, you have a guardian angel right by your side. You'll be safe,"
Yeseul was still hesitating, considering the risk of attending a dinner where there would be quite a few demons present. Then again, there was the fact that Minho was a demon, yet, he had never tried anything on her.
"Please? For me?" Jeongin pleaded.
"Alright," Yeseul slumped back in her chair, although she was smiling. "I'll come with you,"
