Where did he go? I'm so scared...

Thomas ran up to me and gave me a big hug, "How was your first day of school?" he smiled from ear "O-oh, well, glad to see you're making some friends." he said flatly. "Don't worry, you're still my best friend," I kissed his cheek. 

After mom made dinner I laid down with Thomas curled up behind me. His big arms rested over my small body, almost giving me a long hug from behind. I fell asleep almost immediately after that.

"Thomas?" I called out, there was nobody around me. In fact, there was nothing, no trees or walls, no windows or doors, just oblivion. "Thomas?" I said louder, my heart began racing, "THOMAS!" I screamed.

I woke up with a gasp, my heart was pounding so hard inside my chest that I thought I'd break something. I brushed my hair out of my face as I tried to reconcile my thoughts. Thomas woke up and sat up next to me, "What's the matter?" I fell into his arms sobbing. "It was worse this time," I weeped, he comfortingly rubbed my back and kissed my head. "Shh, it was just a nightmare," he shushed me. My breathing slowed and my heart became calm. I laid back down with my head on his chest, I eventually went back to sleep.
